Harry Potter: The Boy Who Eats[COMPLETE]

How bad can life be? For Happy Lestrange, an ordinary boy from an ordinary world, after being diagnosed with stomach cancer at three, the hospital became his permanent home. As a result, he never got to make friends, never got to play, run, swim, and worst of all—eat. His only respite to his boredom was various novels, movies, manga, and comics. But one of them stood above all others: Harry Potter. He was always interested in its lore and slowly fell in love with everything about the Wizarding World. But the thing he envied the most was not the magic but rather the Hogwarts feasts. So, with no cure in sight, at the age of 15, in a coma, he was put to eternal sleep. But that was not the end of the journey for Happy. "Speak, young child, what do you desire? Heaven, or reincarnation?" "Grandpa God, I want to go to Hogwarts and eat lots of tasty food!" "..." "Child, are you sure?" "YES!" "Young child, I bless you with luck. So go, taste the food, and experience all the mouthwatering scents! Go and eat to your heart's content." And so began the journey of the boy who eats. But, there was a surprise for Happy. One that could also be a curse if used unwisely. In a world so dark, and hurdles in his way plenty, can he overcome them and be...Happy? ___________________ WARNING: I write wholesome, Slice of Life stories where a greater and more serious plot is slowly expanded as the story goes. Nothing happened in the cabin after the revelations Happy made. Remus Lupin tried to circle around the information and merely give Harry the basic information. The man was a tough nut to crack, but Happy had a whole year, so he didn't worry.

Soon, the train arrived at the station, and everyone got on the magical carriages that most thought were driven by magic. Though Happy and a few others saw the Thestrals quite clearly.

Eventually, the sortings happened, the musical performance was done, and Dumbledore introduced the two new faculty members. One being Hagrid, and the other being Remus Lupin, the new DADA professor.

"...A word of caution; Dementors are vicious creatures. They will not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way…"

However, nobody paid attention to the speech or the announcement. Everyone was busy talking about how Happy slapped the hell out of the Dementor, enough to scare it away. Heads turned to look at him in admiration, and of course, that boasted Happy's pride enough to make him raise his chin a few inches.

"Quick, get a pin! Happy's going to explode with so much praise." Ron joked.

Happy smirked. "Someone's jealous."

"Of course I am. Everyone is. Name another wizard in history who has slapped a Dementor?" Ron claimed, a bit proud even. "That slap of yours was glorious!."

"So I made history? Sweet! For the celebration, I'll eat that whole raspberry cake by myself!" Happy proclaimed and dug into the food. Yes, it wasn't a beautiful sight to look at as he gobbled down the food, but everyone was just used to it by now—Just another day with Happy Lestrange.

By the time dinner came to an end, Happy finished an entire cake, some chicken, and several plates of pudding. After that, it was time to head to the dorms while it rained heavily outside.

"Mr. Lestrange…"

However, Happy's name was called just as the Great Hall was dismissed. Naturally, Happy was prepared for that summons. "Understood, Professor McGonagall. I'll report to the Headmaster right away. By the way, how was your summer, Professor?"

"..."

She was taken aback by his cheerfulness. "It was wonderful."

"Marvelous." Happy took out his business card and handed it to the old witch. "Professor, feel free to reach out if you want to invest—Big returns are guaranteed!"

"..."

The woman dumbfoundedly watched as he walked past her and walked over the phoenix statue elevator that ushered him into the headmaster's office.

Her gaze remained fixed on the card. The words were quite catchy. "Hmm? Lestrange Investment Bank? 'Wizard or Witch—Let's Get Rich'…"

Happy arrived at Dumbledore's office. The room didn't feel scary or suffocating anymore, and even Dumbledore appeared to be in a great mood. He made some fine milk tea for himself and Happy, while eating a few lemon cakes.

"Come, Happy. Have a seat and taste some cake. It's freshly made." Dumbledore invited him.

Happy knew very well what the man wanted to talk about. "Thank you, grandp—I mean Professor. I hope you didn't call me over because I caused some trouble this time."

"Not at all, Happy. But rather, I'm thankful that you handled the situation on the train. Because of you, the students aren't terrified of the Dementors. But, it amazed even me. How did you slap a Dementor without using a Patronus charm?" Dumbledore asked.

Happy scratched his head in confusion. "Well…I don't know, Professor. I just felt I could, since I didn't feel any sadness or cold when it approached. It probably has something to do with my blood or the stone I ate—I think Dementors are scared of me due to one of those reasons."

"That's preposterous!" Headmaster Black exclaimed from the portrait behind. "What kind of creature are you, boy?"

Happy smirked and looked back. "A living one—with a real body. Look, I can drink tea…see me eat a cake."

"Pfft…" The other Headmasters laughed at the mockery of Headmaster Black.

Dumbledore also chuckled and placed his cup down. "I've received the payments from your business venture. They're more than I imagined, Happy. I will certainly use it to expand the school's facilities. Perhaps a better, safer potions lab will excite everyone. And there is a talk of hosting the Triwizard Tournament next year. More space in the dorms will help..."

Happy excitedly interjected. "Can I participate?"

"I don't know yet, Happy. There could be an age limit enforced, as deaths have occurred in the past, which was why the tournament was on hold. Besides, I don't believe you will have much time to take part, considering your studies and work," Dumbledore said in a cautionary tone. "I hope you won't neglect your studies. You must complete your O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts with excellent grades and graduate, Happy. That's how you'll earn unquestionable respect out there."

'Old man is turning out good this time.' Happy was satisfied with Dumbledore's nature. He had changed a lot since the first year.

"I won't, Professor. I want to graduate with good grades and also be wealthy. I'm quite excited about tomorrow's Divination class, actually." Happy chirped, as he reckoned this subject was also all about luck, something he had plenty of.

"Then you should return to the dorms and rest."

Dismissed, Happy got up to leave. But the old man stopped him with a few more words.

"One more thing, Happy. The things you told Professor Lupin—You did the right thing. One's past is something one must accept. There is no escape, regardless of the circumstances," Dumbledore said, astonishing Happy even more. "You can go now."

'He wants Lupin to speak openly? Did I change his plans or something?'

"Good night, Professor."

Happy finally arrived at the dorms and jumped onto his bed like a log. Others had already gone to sleep after goofing around, evidenced by the candy wrappers scattered around the room, and the scent of chocolate in the air.

Koko was also sitting there, sleeping deeply. Happy assumed he must have played with the other kids to be so exhausted.

At last, he closed his eyes and fell asleep. He felt tired, however, since he had seriously eaten too much. The trolly lady's entire trolley, then the dinner, and finally the tea with cake at Dumbledore's place. By the time he woke up, his weight was probably ten percent food.

But, call it a strong body or God's miracle, he returned to normal in the morning with a heightened appetite. He quickly brushed his teeth, got dressed, and ran to the Great Hall for breakfast. After that, he rushed to the Divination class, first thing in the morning.

It was a creepy room filled with teacups, red curtains, and a staircase-like seating arrangement with small round tables in front of every two students. And seated before the students was Professor Sybill Trelawney, in her hippy style and thick glasses.

"Welcome, my children. In this room, you shall explore the mysterious art of Divination. In this room, you shall discover if you poss…"

While the Professor rambled, Happy sneakily opened a succulent chocolate bar while looking left and right. "Where is Hermione?"

Ron and Harry sat one seat ahead of him. They shook their heads, also looking around.

"...Take the cup of the one seated opposite to you." Professor Trelawney ordered them. "The truth lies buried like a sentence deep within a book, waiting to be read…"

"This is rubbish…"

Happy abruptly looked to his left, and there was Hermione, appearing out of thin air. He knew very well what the girl was doing, taking multiple classes using the Time Turner.

'Ah, let's tease her a bit.'

"How was the class?" He asked.

"Better than thi… I mean, the next class will be better." She immediately corrected the slip of her tongue, digging her chin into her chest.

Happy chuckled and refocused on the class. The Professor approached Neville and frightened the boy about his grandmother. Then she slowly came toward their group and urged Ron to read Harry's cup.

Ron tried his best, flipping through the pages of his book. "...The sun could be the happiness… So, you're gonna suffer, but you're gonna be happy about it."

"Give me the cup!" She snatched it, and instantly jumped back. "Aagh! Oh boy! My dear…you have the Grim."

Harry anxiously looked at his cup, and Happy vigorously nodded in agreement. "Ah, one of the darkest omens in our world. Isn't it the omen of death?"

Silence descended upon the room, and everyone began talking with each other. But Happy wasn't done, because he was more interested in his own reading. "Professor, please read my cup, too…!"

"Of course, dear boy." She took the cup.

"Hmm?"

She gazed at the cup, then at Happy's face. She repeated the same actions at least a dozen times and soon began to shiver as if she was possessed.

Clank!

The cup fell on the floor but didn't shatter. However, what shattered were Trelawney's glasses when she fell on her butt.

Thud!

"H-How? How is this possible? T-The SUPREME FORTUNE!" she bellowed. "How can this be? Elephant, Horseshoe, Four Leaf Clover, Keys, Shooting Star, and—UNICORN—All at once! IMPOSSIBLE!"

"Woah!" The students gasped in shock.

Happy stood up and picked up his cup to examine it again. "Here? But I don't see anything."

Bam!

Trelawney lunged onto her knees and approached Happy before grabbing his hands. "Let me… Let me kiss your hands!"
