Prologue

In the final days of Krypton, Aronel and Sera-Vex Lor-Zel, esteemed members of House Lor-Zel, faced the harrowing reality of their world's imminent destruction. Determined to ensure the survival of their infant son, Harkel, they turned to their allies in the noble House of El for aid.

Collaborating with Jor-El and Lara-El, revered scientists of House El, Aronel and Sera-Vex prepared two spacecrafts, one for Harkel and the other for Kal-El, the son of Jor-El and Lara-El. Together, they outfitted the vessels with advanced technology and supplies, safeguarding the infants for their journey to Earth.

As the catastrophic events unfolded and Krypton teetered on the edge of oblivion, Aronel and Sera-Vex decided to entrust Harkel to the care of Jor-El and Lara-El, who planned to send their own son Kal-El to the distant planet named Earth. With tears in their eyes and hearts heavy with sorrow, they embrace Harkel one last time, holding him close as if to shield him from the impending darkness.

"Remember, my dear Harkel," Aronel's voice trembles with emotion, "you and Kal-El are the embodiment of our hopes and dreams. Though we may be separated by the vast expanse of space, know that our love will always guide you, wherever your journey may lead."

Sera-Vex, her gaze unwavering despite the tears that stain her cheeks, places a gentle hand on Harkel's tiny chest. "You carry within you the strength of our ancestors, the wisdom of our lineage. Let it be your beacon in the darkest of times, a light to guide you through the shadows."

With a final, lingering embrace, Aronel and Sera-Vex whisper words of love and courage into Harkel's ear, imprinting their essence upon his soul before the spacecraft's hatch closes, sealing their fate.

As the spacecraft carrying Harkel Lor-Zel hurtles through the cosmos, Aronel and Sera-Vex Lor-Zel, facing the inevitable destruction of their world, gather their strength to face their own ends.

As the stars fade into the distance and Krypton's light dims for the last time, Harkel carries the echoes of his parents' love within him, a beacon of hope in the darkness of the unknown.

Sirius Black stood by James Potter's side, his heart heavy with sorrow as he watched his best friend grapple with the devastating loss. The air in the room felt heavy, weighed down by the crushing weight of grief and despair.

"James," Sirius said softly, placing a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder, "I can't imagine what you're going through right now. Losing a child... it's something no parent should ever have to endure."

James's shoulders sagged under the weight of his anguish, his eyes filled with unshed tears as he struggled to find the words to express his pain. "Sirius, she was... she was our everything. Lily..." His voice cracked with emotion, his breath hitching in his chest as he fought to keep his composure.

Sirius pulled James into a tight embrace, offering what little comfort he could in the face of such overwhelming loss. "I know, mate. I know," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "But you're not alone in this. We're here for you, Lily's going to be alright, and we'll get through this together."

As James and Sirius stood in the midst of their sorrow, a deafening crash shattered the silence of the night, sending shockwaves of terror through their hearts. Instinctively, they drew their wands, their minds racing with thoughts of protecting their loved ones from the looming threat.

As they rushed outside, they were met with a surreal scene of chaos and destruction. A massive crater dominated their backyard, smoke rising ominously from its depths.

Heart pounding with adrenaline, James gripped his wand tightly, his mind racing with thoughts of protecting his family. "Sirius, what in Merlin's name is happening?"

Sirius's expression hardened as he scanned their surroundings, his senses on high alert for any sign of danger. "I don't know, James, but we can't rule out the possibility of a Death Eater attack. Stay close."

With cautious steps, they approached the edge of the crater, their wands at the ready. But as they peered into the depths, they spotted something unexpected—a small spacecraft, its hull scorched and battered, nestled within the crater like a fallen star.

James's eyes widened in disbelief. "What... what is that thing?"

Before Sirius could respond, a figure emerged from the smoke, its silhouette obscured by the haze. James and Sirius tensed, their wands raised, ready to confront the intruder.

But as the figure drew closer, its features became clearer, revealing a small bundle cradled in the arms of what appeared to be a metal Golem. James's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the form of a baby, wrapped in strange clothing, its eyes wide with innocence.

Confusion and concern flooded James's mind as he lowered his wand, his instincts urging him to protect the helpless child. "Sirius, it's just a baby..."

Sirius's eyes narrowed as he regarded the newcomer with suspicion, but he couldn't deny the innocence of the child before them. With a shared glance, James and Sirius lowered their wands, their instincts as fathers overriding their fears of the unknown.

Approaching cautiously, James extended a hand towards the child, his voice gentle. "Hey there, little one. It's okay, we're not going to hurt you."

As the baby reached out a tiny hand towards James, its eyes filled with trust and curiosity, James felt a surge of compassion wash over him. Whatever this child's origins, he knew one thing for certain—they couldn't turn their backs on someone in need.

A surge of protective instinct welled up inside him. Despite the chaos and uncertainty surrounding them, he knew one thing with unwavering certainty—he couldn't abandon this child.

With resolve in his heart, James turned to Sirius, his voice firm. "Sirius, we're going to raise this baby as our own. Lily... Lily doesn't need to know about... what happened."

Sirius regarded James with a mixture of concern and understanding, knowing the weight of the decision they were about to make. "James, are you sure about this? It's a big responsibility, especially with everything that's happened..."

James nodded, his eyes never leaving the baby's face. "I'm sure, Sirius. We can do this. We'll give him the love and care he deserves, just like we would for Harry."

With a shared nod of agreement, James and Sirius made their silent pact to protect and raise the baby as their own. As they turned to leave the wreckage behind them, they stopped as a holographic image of a woman appeared from the Golem before them.

The woman had an ethereal grace, her features bathed in soft, gentle light. She had an air of solemnity about her, yet her presence exuded warmth and reassurance.

Her eyes, filled with a depth of emotion and wisdom, seemed to pierce through the veil of reality, conveying a sense of urgency and purpose. Her expression was solemn yet compassionate, as if she bore the weight of the world upon her shoulders.

Her long hair cascaded around her shoulders in shimmering waves, its color a blend of hues that seemed to shift and change with the light. She wore robes that seemed to flow like liquid moonlight, their fabric ethereal and otherworldly.

"Merlin's beard," Sirius breathed, his eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at the apparition before him.

James's heart pounded in his chest as he exchanged a bewildered glance with Sirius. "What... what is this?" he murmured, his voice tinged with awe and uncertainty.

The woman spoke with a voice filled with urgency and determination. "James Potter, Sirius Black," she began, her voice echoing through the room. "I am Sera, wife of Aronel Lor-Zel and mother of the child you now hold in your arms."

James and Sirius exchanged bewildered glances, their minds reeling at the revelation. Sera? Lor-Zel? None of it made sense.

Sensing their confusion, Sera's image pressed on, her eyes shining with determination. "I know this may seem impossible to believe, but you must trust me," Sera continued. "Harkel, the child you found, is of great importance. He carries within him the legacy of Krypton, a legacy that must be protected at all costs."

James and Sirius listened intently, their disbelief mingling with a growing sense of urgency. Despite their confusion, they couldn't ignore the sincerity in Sera's voice or the gravity of her words.

"You must raise him as your own, James," Sera urged. "Keep him safe from those who would seek to harm him. His destiny is intertwined with the fate of worlds, and you are his only hope."

As Sera's holographic image began to fade, leaving James and Sirius to grapple with the weight of her words, Sirius turned to James with a sense of urgency in his eyes.

"James, we need to act fast," Sirius said, his voice low and urgent. "I'll take care of hiding the vessel. You should start on the blood adoption ritual before Lily wakes up."

James nodded in agreement, his mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts. "Right, Sirius. I'll get everything ready."

As Sirius hurried to conceal the crashed spacecraft, he paused for a moment to speak with James, his heart heavy with the weight of their newfound responsibility.

"James," Sirius began, his voice filled with concern, "what will you name the child?"

James looked up from the materials for the blood adoption ritual, his expression thoughtful. "I think we should honor the name his biological parents gave him," he said quietly. "They named him Harkel, but I think we should call him Hadrian, a name with a storied history and great significance. We can call him Harry for short."

Sirius's eyes brightened with understanding and approval. "Hadrian... Harry," he repeated, testing the name on his tongue. "A fitting choice, James."

As James and Sirius shared a nod of agreement, a sense of determination settled over them like a cloak of protection. With their decision to name the child Hadrian—Harry for short—and to raise him as their own, they knew that their lives would never be the same.

Together, they set about their tasks with renewed purpose. With the materials gathered before him, James Potter prepared to perform the solemn and ancient ritual of blood adoption. His heart heavy with the weight of responsibility and determination, he focused his mind and steadied his wand, ready to forge a bond that would bind young Hadrian—Harry—to him and Lily as their son.

Drawing upon his magical abilities and the deep well of love in his heart, James began to chant the incantations of the ritual, his voice echoing through the room with a resonance that seemed to transcend time and space. With each word spoken, he felt the magic surge through him, weaving a powerful connection between himself, Lily, and the child they had chosen to raise as their own.

As the ritual reached its climax, James felt a surge of energy pulsating through the room, enveloping him in a warm and comforting embrace. It was as if the very essence of their bond was being forged in that moment, a testament to the love and dedication that would guide them on their journey as a family.

With a final flourish of his wand, James completed the ritual, his heart swelling with a sense of fulfillment and purpose. The bond between them was now sealed, an unbreakable tether that would bind them together through all the trials and triumphs that lay ahead.

As he looked down at young Hadrian—Harry, his son, his legacy—James felt a sense of peace wash over him. No matter what challenges they may face, they would face them together, united as a family forged in love and bound by magic.

With a heavy heart, James carefully placed the newly adopted Harry by the side of his unconscious wife, Lily. He gazed down at the infant with a mixture of love and sorrow, knowing that their lives would never be the same after this fateful night.

As he stood by Lily's bedside, James's eyes drifted to the still form of his daughter, Rose. Gently, he lifted her into his arms, cradling her fragile body close to his chest. She was a beautiful angel, taken from them far too soon.

With a solemn determination, James made his way to the garden, where he had prepared a resting place for Rose. He dug a small grave beneath the shade of a towering oak tree, the earth soft and welcoming beneath his hands.

As he laid Rose to rest in her final resting place, James whispered a silent prayer, his voice choked with emotion. "Sleep peacefully, my darling Rose," he murmured, his tears mingling with the earth as he covered her grave with fresh soil.

With a heavy heart, James returned to Lily's side, his mind filled with a tumult of emotions. Though their grief was profound, there was also a glimmer of hope in the presence of young Hadrian—Harry—now their son by blood and by choice.

As he sat vigil by Lily's bedside, James vowed to protect and cherish their newfound family with all his strength, for Rose's memory and for the love they shared. And as the first light of dawn broke over the horizon, James held Lily's hand tightly, knowing that together, they would find the strength to face whatever challenges the future held.
