I enjoy the concept, and the consistency in the translation, the MTLs can’t keep the names straight or the spells. It hurts my brain trying to understand them, one of them has five different names for Evan. Like most people I have my own opinion on somethings and there are things which I would change about Ron ( I don’t see why everyone thinks he is an lazy idiot, he’s not portrayed that way in the book he merely has a different common sense and less interest in learning as someone who was born into a magic family) but as a avid reader I think the story is fascinating and just wish I could find a complete translation that wasn’t written by a machine
The only good thing about this novel is, any semblance of the OG novel. The shoehorned MC just doesn't make sense and made everyone around him stupid by association. Also the glaring fact that this guy wants to start a journal buisness even before he started, but the worst part is everyone just joined along, no questions asked. Like bruh, you're not even suppose to leave Hogwarts during your first 2 yrs, wachagonna do with that?
First things first. The translation here is great. I saw very few (if any) mistakes. It's also important to note that the entire novel is 1700chs or more, and from the 473th chapter onward, you can only find mtl translated. Now, let me talk about the novel itself: The plot is pretty much the same (there is a big twist, but generally speaking, it ends up similar to the original) for the Harry's second year (or MC's first year, since he is 1 year younger than Harry), but from Harry's third year... things only get crazier and crazier. I have gotten to ch 359 and it seems like Voldemort is not the final boss of this novel. I can obviously be mistaken here, as I haven't gotten even close to half of the entire novel, but that was my impression. I honestly think it is truly regrettable that there is no real translation from chapter 473th onward, and that is the only reason I stopped reading. My brain cells are too weak for mtl translations.
big plot hole at ch 4. OC invites HP to stay at his muggle family's house, instead of HP spending the summer at Dursleys and ignoring the fact that the blood of the Dursleys had been keeping HP safe all along, and without HP being close to them, then Voldemort and his goons would be having an easy time locating Harry. Of course nothing happens and this is thoroughly ignored, even if this glaring detail is why Harry was at the Dursleys to begin with. To clarify - the actual Reason Harry Potter had been spending ca. 10 years at the Dursleys is stepped on, shredded to pieces and then sent to the nearest dumpster. Though, if you can overlook these pitfalls of plot holes, then I guess you can get some enjoyment out of this read.
