SHE'S SAFE WITH HIM
"Arin wait"
Daehyun shouted as he tried to stop her. She was wearing heels but she still ran fast as if she was barefooted. He wasn't surprised because he knew that she was already used to it but still he was worried that she would fall and hurt herself.
She finally came to an halt in the dim hallway and stared at him impatiently. She didn't know where she was going but she knew she had to find her sister somehow.
"Do you know the girl?" he asked.
He knew her surname but just like everyone else, he knew that the name Lee was very popular in south Korea. You might see two people bearing the surname Lee but surprisingly they have no relations with each other.
And besides she never revealed anything about her family during their days together at school. He only knew they were rich and no matter how much he tried, he couldn't find anything about them.
Initially, he found it suspicious but he couldn't question her about it since it may be considered as invading her personal life.
"Yes" she nodded at him, "She's my sister" finally, she gave him his answer.
His shock didn't last for long as he actually thought of the possibility and it wasn't surprising at all since he already knows that her family was rich.
"Let's go Dae, where is she? how do we find her?" she asked worriedly.
"Don't worry, she's fine. She's with my friend" he assured her.
"Your friend?" she asked and he nodded. "Don't worry Arin, she's safe with him" and she relaxed a little bit but she couldn't help but still feel restless. As long as she hasn't seen Ara with her own eyes, she couldn't guarantee if she was safe or not but Dae told her not to worry so she should atleast count on his words and just hope for the best.
They walked out of the hallway and into the spacious ballroom and the party was still going on while the guests were unaware of the chaos going on. Dae left her to finally acknowledge the guest and she went in search for her father.
Arin weaved her way through the crowd and she finally found him at a corner observing everything happening in the ballroom. She didn't want to believe that he has not found out that Ara was attacked, then why is he so calm?
She hurried her steps towards him and looked around when she got close to him to ensure that no one could eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Where's Ara?" she queried immediately.
"She's fine" her father muttered lightly while staring ahead as if waiting for something.
"How can you be so sure? Ara was attacked" she fired again as she glared at him and he nodded.
"So you know my sister was attacked and you haven't done anything about it? what kind of a father are you? throwing your daughter into the lion's den, do you want to get her killed?"
Arin was enraged by the whole situation. She didn't know what was going on or what her father was even thinking. Despite being informed by Daehyun that her sister was alright, she still couldn't comprehend the issue properly.
"Arin your sister is fine" he finally turned to her and she scoffed.
"Oh really? then where is she father? " she asked again.
"She's with the Kims" he replied and Arin's heart sank.
The Kims?
They were their number one enemy and they hated each other to the core. She didn't know the cause if their rivalry but she only knew that it started decades ago. And as far as she knew, the topic about the Kims was dreaded in their household.
There were several attacks when she was little and they all suspected that it was the Kims. Although, for the past few years the situation has been calm but the disagreement between the Lees and the Kims has never been resolved.
And now her father is saying that her beloved sister is with them and yet he is calm. Imagining the worst case scenario, they could kill her mercilessly seeming that she is the supposedly 'only daughter' of the Lees.
"I know what you are thinking Arin, but trust me your sister is safe. I have my men surround the Kim mansion and they know that I'm keeping an eye on them so they wouldn't be so reckless to try to harm your sister if not I would wipe out their existence from the world" he said with a dangerous glint hidden in his eyes.
Arin looked at him and voiced out her opinions "I hope you know what you are doing father because I don't want to loose another one. " She gave him one final glance and finally walked away.

"Mr Kim the patient is fine. The drug she inhaled was very harmful but thankfully she was tended to on time so she will be alright, she just needs a little rest" Dr Jia, the Kim family doctor informed the young man who seemed uninterested.
Regardless of his nonchalant attitude she knew the situation so well. She has worked for the Kim family for more than a decade and she is more or like a family to them and she has never been confronted with this kind of situation.
Firstly, she was summoned at the middle of the night that there was a patient in the Kim mansion who needed her attendance. At first she was worried and inquired to know who was sick but she was slightly shocked when she got to know that the person was not a member of the family.
She finally concluded that maybe it was a close acquaintance or perhaps a distant relative.
But on arriving, she got the second shock of the night. The supposed patient was reported to be in Adrian's bedroom.
She paused as she tried to fill in with the information she just gathered.
How close was this person to the Kims?
The Adrian she knew didn't even allow the maids to come into his room. Even his own parents dreaded going there.
He was a neat freak, a perfectionist even. He preferred taking care of his things himself so for him to allow someone into his bedroom was really a shocking event for her.
She found her way towards his door and on getting there, she got the third bomb of the day.
She saw the silhouette of a small and petite person, she wanted to assure her mind that it was the pale moonlight playing tricks on her but she saw the person's long and silky black hair reflecting in the moonlight and scattered in the pillow and then her jaw dropped.
