Hotel Stay

After an hour of wandering through the city, Arthur stumbled upon a quaint and inviting hotel named "The Royal Haven."

As Arthur entered the hotel, he saw a woman dressed elegantly in vibrant red clothes. Her radiant smile greeted him at the door, exuding warmth and hospitality. Her long, flowing brown hair cascaded down her back, framing her face with a touch of grace. She beckoned him inside with a welcoming gesture.

Arthur approached the reception desk, where a female attendant sat on a chair, ready to assist him. She greeted him with a warm smile and a polite nod and said, "How can I help you Sir?"

"I'm planning a long-term stay in the city, so I'm looking for a hotel that offers affordable rates for extended periods. And the room should be the best" Arthur stated.

The girl smiled hearing this and said, "Sir you came at right place! For a long-term stay, we have special rates available that can provide you with a comfortable and cost-effective experience. Let me provide you with all the necessary details and assist you with any other requirements you may have during your extended stay."

After filling the details such as Name and his reason for stay the girl than said, "Sir for two months stay it will be two 1 gold coin and 500 silver in total. The hotel will provide you food any time you want and if you want dis... count of some..." before the girl could finish her sentence Arthur took out two gold coins and handed them to the receptionist, "I'll handle the food selection myself. I prefer to personally choose what I want to eat." Arthur asserted, his tone carrying a sense of authority.

Before the girl knew it Arthur took his room's key and departed towards his room.

Arthur stepped into the hotel room and noticed the large room. The spaciousness and elegant furnishings surpassed his expectations. The large bathroom, complete with luxurious amenities, added to his delight. The well-appointed work area made his long-term stay comfortable.

Arthur approached the window, from there he saw the allure of the bustling cityscape outside. From his vantage point, he observed the dynamic scene below—the energetic movement of people, the vibrant displays of merchants, and the lively atmosphere that filled the streets.

Taking in the view, he absorbed the sights and sounds, mentally mapping out the rhythm of the city.

Slowly, he reclined on the plush mattress, allowing himself a moment of reprieve in the tranquil haven of the room. With a sigh of contentment, he appreciated the attention to detail that made his surroundings both aesthetically pleasing and welcoming.

Suddenly he opened his eyes and moved towards the window, as he looked towards the road he saw a exquisite carriage slowly stopping at the gates of the hotel, there were guards around the carriage who looked around vigilantly.

As the carriage came to a halt, a woman dressed in maid attire emerged gracefully, taking her place beside the open carriage door. Her poised demeanor and attentive gaze signaled her role as a caretaker.

From within the carriage, a girl stepped out, captivating the attention of onlookers with her striking features. Her lustrous blond hair cascaded down in gentle waves, adding a touch of radiance to her appearance. Her eyes, a mesmerizing shade of golden, held a glint of curiosity and wisdom, hinting at a depth beyond her years.

The girl's attire exuded elegance, with a tastefully embroidered gown that accentuated her graceful figure. Delicate accessories adorned her, enhancing her natural beauty with subtle touches of refinement.

There was an air of confidence in her demeanor, as she carried herself with poise and grace, her presence commanded attention, drawing the gaze of those around her.

It was clear that the girl possessed a certain allure—a magnetic charm that emanated from her captivating appearance and confident aura. Her entrance into the scene sparked curiosity and left those present intrigued by the mysteries that lay beneath her enchanting exterior.

After the girl came out many peoples around the way started to discuss, guessing the girl's identity.

Arthur was quite away from the place, so he wasn't able to guess the girl's identity, "She looks familiar though." Arthur made a final look at her then returned back to the bed, he thought about the conversation between him and Liam.

"Life is all about giving and taking" (Well snatching is another thing.)

"There is no way they'd pay me so much for no reason."

"If I accept their proposal, it will become more troublesome for me."

'I want to live a life full of peacefulness, without any violence, which isn't possible anyways.' Arthur thought as he looked at the ceiling of his room.

"Doing whatever I want."

One day later.

Arthur was sitting on chair eating food, there were many kinds of dishes present on the table like soup, beast meat, Shushi, rice, noodles and many more.

"Mmm... It's very delicious." Arthur said as he ate the food served to him.

But his gaze suddenly turned towards the entrance as he saw the same girl which came out of the carriage entering the dinning area. But he no interest in whatsoever so he returned his attention to the food.

As he was eating, he didn't notice but the girl looked his way and her gaze stopped at him for some moment as she scrutinized Arthur, but Arthur's whole attention was on the food he wasn't looking at others.

After eating the food Arthur stood up, he then checked the time, 'Around ten minutes left.'

He then returned to his room, he suddenly heard a voice

DING...

[Match is ready. Do you want to enter?]1

"Yes."

With that the Arthur's figure started to fade until he vanished from his spot.

After a brief period of darkness, Arthur was greeted by sunlight. When he examined his surrounding, he saw some peoples around him. But his whole attention was on the area where he was currently standing.

The entire area was blanketed in tall grass, each blade reaching up to the knees of those present. Stretching out before them was a dense forest, its depths barely touched by the sunlight filtering through the canopy above.

Arthur then gazed at everyone present there and counted them, there were ten peoples including him. Suddenly a notification popped in front of him.

Important : Those who are wondering what they have to do there is simply one thing, they have to hunt beast and search of any treasures which can help them increase their stats. They can take materials from the beasts which they can sell or use themselves.

The treasures include potions which can heal or increases their strength and there is a chance that a beast will those (0.1%) that means if you kill a thousand beast, one of them can drop it, and this is for those with a little luck around 0-5. 

As the rank increases the drop rate also increases.

"So, what does everyone say?" a man with brown hairs stood in front of everyone as he looked at everyone, his gaze stopped at Arthur for some moment but then he stopped looking at him.

Arthur looked around and saw some of them thinking about this, but he left them at that and started to walk towards the forest, all of them stared at Arthur but no one said anything.

With that his first time in New World started.

Arthur just turned his back towards everyone thinking of going alone.

Others didn't even look at Arthur, and they thought this was the best idea, and they followed the man without saying much, leaving Arthur on his own.

Arthur deftly retrieved a knife from his dimensional space, twirling it skillfully in his hand, after getting used to the knife's weight he carefully attached the knife on his belt and hid it with his clothes.

With a careful scan of his surroundings, Arthur chose a direction and began moving with purpose. The forest enveloped him in a serene silence, broken only by the subtle rustling of leaves under his feet. Rays of sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting dappled patterns on the forest floor, illuminating his path with a soft, natural glow.

Arthur didn't have a normal view like others because of his missing eye.

"I think there will be something that can restore my eye, and these scars." Arthur said as he was unable to see much wider because of his limited view.

There were still 10 stats points which he got from trial, but he didn't use them currently, he thought that they can be useful later on.

'I still have more than 4 hours to enjoy this.' Arthur thought.

Apart from grass-covered plain, Arthur was surrounded by large trees, he could see around 50 meters from him, and he didn't see any beast nearby, though.

After walking for some time, he came across a patchy area, where tall grass, broken trees, and scattered rocks adorned the landscape. It presented an untamed wilderness, he had to navigate carefully from here on. He felt something here, so he thought there may be something near this area.

As he climbed a tree to see the area ahead of him, he noticed some movements around the broken trees, after waiting for some time he caught a glimpse of a beast which was covered in grass.

"A camouflaged beast, huh?"

Without wasting time, he took out his knife, the target wasn't much far from him. He exerted a little amount of mana through his legs, getting an instant boost in his speed, he appeared above the beast's head.

He directly pierced the beast's head with the knife killing the beast in just one move. He has already checked his surrounding and noticed that there were no other beasts except this.

"What kind of beast is this?" Arthur poked the beast's body with the knife as he examined the beast.

The beast looked like a porcupine, but it back was covered with grass, and the body was brown in color.

Arthur lightly grazed his index finger against the beast's body and devoured the beast's energy.

"Such a weak beast." Arthur said with a sigh. After devouring the beast's energy, the beast looked like it died from malnutrition.
