"Are there only such kind of beasts?" Arthur said as he threw another of those beasts with grass like spikes on their back.
"I have already killed more than 100 of such beasts, now even devouring them doesn't give me stats anymore. Hah" he said with a sigh.
"Let's move in another direction."
Arthur then started to move towards the place where he was summoned previously.

When he devoured different kind of beasts he noticed that his devour skill now have an additional information showing. He thought that if he completed the progress the devour skill might evolve. And even devouring those beasts he could evolve his other skills also.
"There is more to this skill than the description shows."
He then looked at the materials he got after killing the beasts.

The status window showed how much he has gained after killing hundreds of those porcupine beasts.
As Arthur moved through the forest and reached the place where they were gathered before he saw no one there.
They must have left already.
After walking in opposite direction for some time, his noticed some sword marks, scattered throughout the surroundings.
Arthur's footsteps faltered as he observed the scattered bloodstains on the forest floor. The crimson splatters painted a fierce clash between the team and the beasts that inhabited the area. Evidently, a fierce battle unfolded here.
'The beasts they fought must be different from those grass porcupine I previously came across.' Arthur thought as he examined the markings on the trees which resembled claws.
'They may be either wolfs or panthers, and both of them move in groups. I have to be careful.'

Ahead of Arthur's path, a group of six weary individuals moved through the forest. Wearing visible signs of fatigue and sporting some injuries.
"Norman, can we rest now, we are very tired after fighting those forest wolfs." a man holding a silver shield said as he looked back at the man with brown hair who was holding a sword which was excluding a little silver glow.
The man looked at Norman's sword then at his shield which was made of silver, but there was a big difference in the weapons made of silver and the unique silver glow excluding weapon, not only they are more durable than normal silver weapons they are even provide more power to the wielder.
Norman looked at the man who said this and then he looked around him, all the people he came with had a look of exhaustion on their face.
He then said with a sigh, "Ok we can rest for half an hour. This place is relatively safe we can rest here, but keep your guard up, there can be some beasts around."
All of them as they leaned on the trees and tried to regain as much stamina as they could for now.
Suddenly a voice came, "Then how shall we divide the loot?"
All of them looked at the source of the voice and they saw a person wearing a black mask, he was sitting on a branch of a tree.
Norman just smiled and said, "Let's distribute the loot according to the everyone's contribution. So what do you say?"
Hearing this everyone nodded, Norman then took out all the things he got previously from a bag.

A/N : Many of you might be wondering, 'He don't have dimensional storage, why?' or 'Why is he not using Dimensional storage?'
Simply because he doesn't have, the system only provides dimensional storage to those who gets first place in trial, or they have a storage ring, which he obviously doesn't have.

"There are five forest wolves hide, five wolf claws, five pounds of forest wolf meat and a G-rank beast core." Norman recounted all the loot they gained from the hunt.
They then started to ponder how are going to distribute the loot.
After some time, Norman said, "Since, the loot is being distributed according to the contribution then, I will take one unit from all of them including the beast core." as Norman said the smile from his face vanished and a stoic expression replaced it.
Everyone frowned a little when they heard it, but no one voice their opinion as they knew that no one could go against Norman currently, because he was the strongest among them and they needed his protection to survive in the forest.
Then the man sitting on the tree jumped form the branch and landed near Norman, he took one unit each from the remaining things and said, "Then I will take these."
He then returned to the branch and continued sitting there. The remaining people looked at each other and decided to distribute the things equally among them, they can do nothing about it.
After resting for some time Norman stood up and said, "Ok I think everyone must have recovered. We can now continue moving forward."
The remaining five silently stood up and nodded at Norman who was ready to move forward, but then suddenly they heard something.

The resounding howl of the wolf echoed through the entire forest, reaching the ears of six individuals whose faces paled upon hearing it.
"Oh no! Its a WOLF HORDE."
"How can we be so unlucky to encounter a wolf horde?"
"We are not even F rank how can we fight the horde!"
Even Norman face was covered in sweat, he also didn't have any confidence while facing a wolf horde, even the D-rankers don't dare to face the wolf horde carelessly.
Because only an alpha wolf can trigger wolf horde, a wolf horde have at least hundreds of wolfs in their packs, not only that the leader of the pack alpha wolf leader is D-rank or above D-rank. But since they are only at G-rank the alpha pack leader will only be at D-rank. Still he had never thought that he could defeat such a beast alone.
"We have to leave form here as fast as we can, otherwise we will only get eliminated fast." Norman shouted as he sheathed his sword and started to run away from where the howl of wolf came.

A wolf was whimpering as it looked at the person in front of it, he had knife in one hand which was releasing white mist like streams. The injured wolf tried to move away from the person but was unable to move that far because of its missing legs.
With a light motion Arthur threw the knife, which plunged on the wolf's head killing it directly.

Arthur then started to devour the energy of all the wolf he killed till now, there were around twently wolfs he have killed till now.

Previously his body had some light bite and scratch marks, but after devouring the energy his injuries were healed, he even regained his stamina.

Arthur sighed, leaning back against a tree, contemplating his next move. Suddenly, the piercing howl of the wolves reached his ears, he climbed a nearby tree to investigate the source of the commotion.
From the top of the tree, he could see some see the vibrations spreading from one side of the forest to others.
There were some beasts who were running away from the source. After waiting for some time, he saw the source of the vibrations.
Wolves.
Arthur narrowed his eyes as he saw the number of wolfs coming towards him. He thought, 'I can manage these number of wolves.'

Arthur sighed, as he laid his back against a tree again. He didn't have any time to catch his breadth while he was fighting against those monsters, he thought that he could take on that numbers of monsters easily, but he was wrong. As time went, the wolves kept coming again and again, he was able to fight them because of his devour skill which helped him regenerate his stamina and health endlessly.

"My stats have crossed the normal threshold of ranking up. After this match I can probably take F rank evaluation test." Arthur said as he looked at the sky.
But his spirit stat is still low, there were no monsters around who could increase his spirit stat.

"Now that I think about it, was it a wolf horde otherwise how can so many wolves can come at same time." Arthur pondered as he was thinking about the things, he has heard about wolf horde.
"If there is a wolf horde, then there must be an alpha wolf leader and the leader would be around D-rank. It is not difficult to beat the leader, but it will be quite difficult to find him among such a large group.
"Maybe even my title can't help me in this." Arthur thought of his title he got from the trial.
All titles can provide peoples some abilities, some provided boost in strength, stats and others provided boost or resistance in some areas like poison or control.
His title which he got from the trial was similar to others which provided boost in stats, he didn't know by how much the boost was because there was no information about such title. But from his conjecture he thought that it provided boost in stats like others.
One can fight someone above his rank with the help of his title, talent, skill, enhancement or equipment.
But there was no title which can allow someone to fight such ranks above, well there was not till now but no one knows the future.

After killing so many beasts the loot was sprawled on the ground, seeing this Artur smiled and got up to pick up the loot.
It took him ten minutes to pick up all the loot, after that he checked what things, he got after this wave.

A/N: A person can only take a maximum of ten potions of each kind (Strength, Agility, Stamina and Spirit) enhancing potion of their respective rank, and this is only up to E-rank.

Seeing the different Stats Enhancing Potions Arthur was shocked, previously he didn't check any of the things he got from the killing but after seeing this he hurriedly took out one of the potion from his dimensional storage.
The potion was inside a cylindrical glass bottle and was white in color, it also had some things which were sparkling inside it. He then checked the bottle's information.

This potion was able to increase the stat by 1-10 randomly, there were also those potions which can increase the stats by fixed units but they hard to come by.
Even after killing around ten wolfs, Norman's team didn't get any stat enhancing potion, this showed how low its probability of dropping is.
Holding the bottle Arthur had an urge to drink the whole bottle, without wasting time he removed the cap and drank the whole bottle in one gulp.

After drinking all the potions, he looked at the remaining bottles, there were five agility enhancing potions and one stamina enhancing potions. Since he have reached the limit for both he can't use them now.
Suddenly he thought of something and took out the stamina enhancing potion, he then closed his eyes and tried to use devour skill on the bottle, he then started to fell an energy entering his body through the vial in his hand.

After waiting for some time he devoured the energy form the potion, he then looked at the potion in his hand and noticed that the potion have turned transparent like water.
Looking at the bottle for some time, he decided to throw the bottle since there is no use of that bottle.
Without wasting time he took the remaining potion and devoured the energy inside them.

After devouring all the potions he noticed that, every time he devoured the energy of the potion he got only five stat points while drinking gave him random stats.
After seeing all the notifications, he noticed that he got random number of stat points while drinking but when he devoured the potion he got a five fixed stat points.
"So I can get only fixed stat points if I use devour." he came to this point noticing the difference.

"Now only the spirit stat is lagging behind."
"What should I do increase my spirit stat?" Arthur pondered.
"I think I shall buy spirit enhancing potion from the tower." this was the only thing that came in his mind, since the low ranked beasts here have very low spirit, which his devour skill automatically neglects.
"Ah... this is too much.
"I'm going to rest a whole day after this." Arthur said as he again laid against the tree.
