Submission holds

"Hey Nex!"

Nex had beaten Dodge in their match against each other. He beat him both judging from the match and judging from their stats. It was not a surprise to anyone, Nex was strong, muscled and agile. He could easily over power his opponent if the person was not very resourceful as Dodge was not. He was strong too but Nex was always a step ahead of him during the match and that granted him victory.

He had just received his handshake from his most proud father, not like he (Nex) cared and was now heading back to his room before he heard some one yell his name. He turned back to see who it was and he was not surprised at all.

"What do you want Florate?" he asked with a relaxed and calm voice. He looked like he did not know why Florate had to stop him and also pretended they were just casual people who stop each other on the way to say one or two things.

"And why would I ever want anything from you Nexine?" he retorted, returning an angry frown for the calm expression on his face. "You are unbearably despicable".

"Watch you tongue Florate" Nex was no longer wearing his calm expression. He left for a slightly furious one. "One more word from you and you would find your self in my submission hold, pleading for mercy".

'The submission hold! Currently, every one in the institute knew just three submission holds as pertaining to the now level eight rangers vividly. One was Lyra's. She had mastered it during her early levels and now it was rated as one of the most ruthless. All she had to do was get a hold of your legs and that would be game over for you. She increases pressure on her opponent's leg by pushing up into a bridge after locking on the hold, no matter how powerful they seemed and still get the owner to tap out, making her the winner of each combat. So far, no one has been able to get of this submission hold.

Second was Lilith's. Hers only aims at the backbone and waist of a person, and that made her superior when it came to ground styles. Her hold has never been broken by anyone and it was very painful too. She was very fast with it and acted smart while fighting. She knew her submission hold was a one chance bargain and whenever that chance makes itself available, she quickly grabs it. Taking an arm of her opponent, pulling him in, placing the lower part of her leg in the throat of the opponent, and wraping the hands around the back of the opponent's head. As long as she has been using that hold, every victim of such situation usually has joint dislocation or spinal disfunction which was always unbearable.

Finally, Nexine's. He dealt with the neck and head, which makes his the most dangerous. He holds an opponent's head firmly between the crook of his or her elbow and the side of his or her body. He had used this submission to win just now and he would savor the honor of trying it out on some else for the second time today and luckily for him, it was going to be the one who was stopping him from having Rain, one of Lilith's friends, Florate.

He had always hated him for one reason or the other and God help his soul today if he dares him again because he was not going to hesitate on getting him under his submission hold, pleading for mercy eventhough he was very certain he won't grant it.

"I am not afraid of you Nexine" Florate neared him while he spoke. "You don't scare me, and I am not hear to receive empty threats".

"Empty threats you say?" he chuckled a bit. "Push me again and you will regret it. And know you this, I won't let you go even if you tap out a hundred times". He gave him a dirty smirk which irritated him the more.

"Like I said before Nex, you do not scare me. I just came here to warn you to leave my girlfriend alone. The next time I see you anywhere close to Rain or even find you staring at her, you would be done for! Trust me" he breathed hard before turning to leave him alone.

Nexine found no reason to speak again. To him, Florate was nothing but a toothless bulldog and Rain was his love. He was going to get her to himself, away from the clutches of bad ruthless Florate into his warm peaceful hold and he knew exactly how. All he had to do was play his cards well and Florate would be history while Rain would be all his. At that thought, he smiled to himself before leaving for his room.

Florate made his way angrily to Lilith's room. He needed to tell her of Nexine's madness and also let her know who Rain is doing because he was sure she had not visited her as he was just coming from the clinic and was told that she had not come. He totally understood that maybe she did not feel good about what he made her do for him but what he could not get his finger on was why she was letting it out in Rain. She should have at least gone to know if she was awake and needed anything but no. She remained in her room.

Well, not for long because he was going to take her to see Rain after speaking with her.

Soon after, he got to her door and knocked lightly. "Lilith?" he called from outside but got no answer. He hesitated for a while before he knocked again but still no answer then he decided to just walk in because the door was open.

He clicked the door open and peeped in inside, looking straight at her bed but she wasn't there. "Lilith?" he called again as he entered inside slowly. "Li..." he was about to calm her again before his movements were stopped by something in the floor which took his attention down there. "Oh my Lilith!" he gasped. She was lying on the floor lifeless and looked really pale.

He lifted from her the floor to the bed immediately and shook her vigorously while still calling her name, "Lilith, Lilith" but she was not answering. Without wasting time , he scooped her into his arms and carried her straight to the clinic...
