"This is unbelievable"

"I think so too"

Lilith and Florate were taken aback by what Rain just said. They found it so hard to believe the reality in her words. But who wouldn't? A man whom she claims to have forgotten his facial features but swears he was familiar appears to him in a secret room in the lab there were supposed to penetrate and tells her she was destined to be the light mutant by him and he has already arranged the formulae for her and was very sure her DNA was fit for the solution as he had already checked them and found them fit. And why on Omania was he doing this? Only because he claims she had this keen relationship with his son. Actually, this point made the both of them feel that Rain was kind of keeping them in the dark but they could do better than doubt her right now as she too was bothered and restless about her encounter with the strange man earlier.

"But it is true guys" Rain turned to them with sincerity in her eyes. "I would not dare lie about something as important as this. He met me in the lab and told me all these things and to be honest with you both, I know nothing of this son he is talking about not to talk of the keen relationship he claims we share".

"Hmph" Lilith sighed deeply and sniffed a bit before speaking again. "I am totally short of words Rain but that does not mean that I do not believe you. I know you are telling us the truth and to be honest, I am kind of happy with the turn things have taken" a slight smile of satisfaction crept into her beautiful face.

"What do you mean by that Lilith?" Florate questioned, immediately he noticed the smile on her face.

"Don't you see?" she looked at both of them with wide eyes but they simply shook their heads.

"See what excatly?".

"Don't you see that every thing has already fallen into place on our account"

"How?" Rain was now the one eager to know.

"Oh my!" she sighed with resentment. "I can't believe how very slow witted you both are. Look at the bright side of this whole thing guys!".

"Well unfortunately Lilith I do not see any thing bright in the fact that my girlfriend is destined to destruction by a certain lab scientist or should I say mutant? Which ever he is, only because he sees her fit to become Triven's most powerful and destructive mutant. What is the brightness there? Other than pure darkness and manipulations!" Florate was now getting pissed but Rain was beside him and the only thing she was to place a palm on his chest and he calmed down immediately. He nodded slowly to her, " its alright. I am fine".

"I really do not understand what you are trying to imply Lilith so you mean to say that me being destined for destruction is something you see light in?"

"You both are so unbelievable. Do you really not understand what I mean or are you both just pretending to be dumb right now. We were about to risk our lives just now, only to make me the light mutant at all costs. And now someone just comes out of the blue and says that you (she pointed at Rain) are destined to be the light mutant and he has already made sure that it would become reality. Don't you see how far that goes in making our plans a success?" she grinned widely at them, hoping they would get her point.

"We hear you Lilith" Florate nodded. "But you are the one who seem alot out of line"

"Alot out of line?" Lilith looked lost. "How do you mean alot out of line Florate?"

"He is right Lilith" Rain intervened. "Our plan was to make you (she pointed at her) the light mutant. You are the one who so desperately wanted those powers, you are the one determined to have them and I am very sure you would be able to control them, not me! I never asked for it. What if it destroys me and no more is left of me. I would not want that fate Lilith this is supposed to your destiny, not mine. You are the one who would make better use of these powers, not me. Why do I always have this ill luck all the time. Why is all these things happening to me" she broke down in tears.

"Enough now Rain" Florate hugged her tightly. "Stop crying now love. It is alright". He was able to to stop her from crying and wiped her tears with his palm. He kissed her forehead and made sure she was calm before turning away from her and facing Lilith.

"Now you know what we are saying Lilith. I am not sure if you understand but all Rain was trying to say is that she never asked for any of this. She might get destroyed by that power Lilith and..."

She did not allow him to continue, but cut in immediately.

" What do you mean get destroyed?" she had this appalling look on her face. " Did you not hear everything she said?"

" And what excatly did she say that you don't believe I heard" Florate was beginning to loose his temper.

"You heard her loud and clear Florate when she said that the so called familiar man affirmed the fact that she is fit to become the light mutant. He tested her DNA and could confidently say that she would be able to become the light mutant. Come on guys, don't you see what am trying to say? Rain can do this, she was destined for this, to help me save Gorgor and be reunite with the love of my life prince Andreas and we would remain together for..."

" Enough!" Rain separated herself from Florate hold and turned to Lilith. " I said enough. All you ever do is put yourself first in everything. Have you ever sat to think what will happen if I loose control of those powers?"

" That will never happen Rain" she drew close to her and held her hand. "You are going to help me Rain" she smiled at her. "You are going to help me save Gorgor. Restore its light and bring back happiness to my life. You are going to do it Rain. If you truly love me, you will". She sounded a bit desperate but mostly authoritative like she was sure Rain won't go against her wish.

"Let me go Lilith" she forcefully took her hand from her.

"You say that I have to prove to you that I love you?" she scoffed. "I had to lie my way into that lab just to help you. I risked the fact that I might get expelled from this institute just to help you out. What else do you want from me Lilith. How else would I prove to you that you mean alot to me. I love you so much Lilith but I will not take that syringe for you. I am going to meet with the grand sensei once he is out of his meditation. I will ask for a change of syringe number and tell him all about the strange man. I will not accept death willingly just to help you Lilith. It is more like you showing me how less I mean to you. All you ever cared about is yourself and your well being. Excuse me!" she walked passed her out of Lilith's room.

"I did not expect this from you Lilith" Florate exhaled deeply and went after Rain immediately.

They both left her there, in her room, all alone...
