Chapter 6: Secret Talk in the Study Room

"Satoru," Sasuke called out, halting his steps with a hint of concern in his eyes.

"Hmm…? Do you want to go too?" he asked Sasuke, wearing a bright smile that suggested a carefree encounter rather than a stern confrontation.

Satoru seemed to anticipate a relaxed and happy interaction with their father, not the expected stern lecture. "I don't want to," Sasuke replied decisively. He had no intention of becoming the next victim of their father's displeasure.

"Go ahead," Sasuke added coolly. Satoru was a bit surprised by Sasuke's response but sighed, realizing that sometimes, the bigger the audience, the less enjoyable the mischief.

Satoru strolled towards his father's study, considering Fugaku's dual role as both the father of three and the head of the Uchiha clan.

The responsibilities of managing the clan often left little time for personal interactions with his children. Only the eldest son received some extra attention, leaving the rest to fend for themselves.

Fugaku questioned why Satoru sought external masters when they had skilled individuals within the Uchiha clan. Satoru's smile persisted, his eyes hinting at a deeper understanding of the world.

Fugaku's sudden alertness suggested he might be aware of internal changes within the clan or harbor desires for the village.

His perspective surprised Fugaku, who had expected a more confrontational stance.

Satoru's unexpected response left Fugaku with mixed emotions, and a sigh escaped him. "So, you thought so too.

You must have seen the movements within the family," Fugaku said, acknowledging the growing divide between the Uchiha clan and the village.

Fugaku expressed the belief that today's Konoha could no longer contain the Uchiha clan's power, and Satoru, having seen the clan's distancing from the village, offered a unique perspective.

He believed in retaining both strength and dignity without losing their lives.

Fugaku's eyes darkened as he spoke of the Uchiha's pride and the need to regain what they had lost. Satoru responded, "It's beautiful to say. Powerful power must be accompanied by fear.

Old man, you are too arrogant." He broke the silence of the room with a smile, challenging the established beliefs within the Uchiha clan.
