"This really does seem like home," Ian said as he walked on the streets of Tokyo, Japan. His looks of that of a foreigner were giving him weird looks but he was not bothered by it. In his last lifetime, Japan has been a destination he always wanted to go to but due to financial problems he could only dream about it.

"A whole street filled with anime and manga related stuff. I think I might become a shut in if I stay here any longer," he sighed as he watched the busy Akihabara town. Just then, a tall black man came next to him and tapped on his shoulder. Ian knew who it was without even turning.

"Martian, you have brought me good news?" he asked.

"Bad news, I'm afraid. Due to recent activities of metahumans Japan has only agreed to let you stay here if you register yourself as one of their heroes," Jon answered, making Ian turn to him in surprise.

"Let me ask you a question, is there a hero called All Might here?" he quickly asked, holding his breath for an answer.

"No, nothing of the sort. In fact, there are no recognized crime fighting figures notable in the country," Jon answered. "Well, there's Hiro, a very rich kid who uses his money and intellect sometimes help the Justice League, but nobody else I can think of."

"Thank you, Martian. Before I accept the deal I believe I have a deal to honor," Ian said before getting hold of Jon's shoulder then used instant transmission to where Wonder Woman was. When they appeared in front of her, Wonder Woman swiftly got into a battle stance but relaxed when she saw who it was.

"I did not think you would come," Wonder Woman said to Ian with relief.

"It would be an insult to your pride and mine if I missed this," Ian said as Jon turned intangible and floated to the sky. "What are the rules?"

"Well, no killing and no using too much energy to destroy the planet," Jon said, making the two nod.

Wonder Woman was the first to attack. Flying at him, she cocked her fist behind her and when she was in melee range threw it at him with all she got. Ian blocked it with his left hand before punching her in the stomach, making her groan in pain. But, she soldiered through it, delivering a headbutt that would pulverize steel. Only, a shockwave came out this time and two pairs of eyes looked at each other viciously before Ian applied more force and she was sent flying away.

Wonder Woman planted her feet on the ground so that she could stop her momentum but that only made her leave two ditches for a kilometre. When she wanted to fly back at him, Ian appeared in front of her and flicked her forehead. A blast like the heavens just broke was produced, sending sand flying all over as Wonder Woman found herself flying away in unimaginable speed, breaking apart every sand dune she crashes into till she came to a stop when she hit a small hill.

Taking a moment to recover, she smiled even more before blasting after Ian, the smile on her face becoming more and more bigger as she came closer. Ian waited for her before realizing what she was about to do. He quickly put his palms close to each other and brought them to his right hand side. Wonder Woman brought her hands together, making the two wristguards clang, producing a huge wave of golden energy, barrelling towards him.

"Kamehameha!" Ian quickly said and shot out a beam of unbridled energy from the orb of ki that gathered in between his palms. The beam clashed into the wave, producing an explosion that shook the air and a shockwave that blew the sand away from the place, leaving a large crater, miles in diameter.

'To take one Wonder Woman's attack with no apparent injuries, this man is truly strong,' Martian Manhunter thought as he saw the condition of Ian when the sand blew over. He could also see the two caused a huge sand storm with their last attack which worried him about people getting hurt.

"You truly are mighty," Wonder Woman said, panting a little bit. Ian laughed while scratching the back of his head.

"All this is the work of my predecessors. I am just cheating my way to victory," Ian said, a little embarrassed to even admit that this was his power. He would be a hypocrite and admit that he was the one that worked for this power like many others before him.

"That may be true but it is your power now. You get to decide whether you can improve on it or you can be stagnant," Wonder Woman advised before she flew next to him and extended her right arm. Ian nodded and took it too.

"Any more than this and we could cause irreparable damages to the environment and the people living here," Wonder Woman said with a bright smile on his face. "Out bout was short but you have proven to be a man of your words and honorable enough to have my attention. Be well." With that, she flew away, leaving Ian with a frown on his face.

"Wait, what do you mean your attention?" he shouted after her but she was too far to hear. Martian Manhunter floated next to him, becoming tangible once again.

"It appears she likes you. Not many members of the Justice League are as strong as her and can fight just as hard. It appears she might call you for multiple sparring sessions," Martian Manhunter told him.

"You can fight her, can't you?"

"I can but with all my power comes a huge crutching weakness when it comes to battle of our scale,"

"Ah, I heard of the curse the Maltusians of Oa gave your kind. Cruel but effective knowing your race, Martian," Ian said, knowingly. Martian Manhunter looked at him grimly.

"You are saying the people who made the lantern rings gave us this weakness?" he asked, gravely.

"Of course, otherwise you would be massacring people of Earth the same way your ancestors did to a sector of the galaxy long ago. Take this as a safety net and it would bring more harm than good if you tried and remove it, trust me," Ian seriously said, making Martian Manhunter nod just as serious.

"Well, this is my cue to leave. Don't bother contacting the Japan authorities, I do not want to become their personal dog just to be a citizen. America seems nice, no extradition laws for aliens. I thin I'm gonna settle in nicely there," Ian said with a smile.
