A strange world(1)

"This maid's name is Kina. Am at your service." Kina said professionally. She was a direct maid who assisted the Princess. Giving her this duty meant her lady was interested in this man though she didn't know the details. It was to be known that the Princess had refused to marry until now. Powerful men tried to impress her but failed miserably. She never let any man near her even her siblings which puzzled the Queen and the people.

So guess the shock she felt when she sensed a man in the Princess' quarters but it was not her place to ask. It was not only her but all the maids were already in the know but most importantly the man in question was a human which puzzled them the most.

"Kina, its a good name, anyway can you direct me to the bathroom." Karl said as he was reeking of sweat. He forced himself up. He walked towards her who turned around and opened the door for him. He had to admit this place looked exactly like ancient palaces.

They walked through the hallway which was long with many corners.

Eventually they arrived at a huge door which Kina opened and they entered. Immediately Karl started undressing but stopped and looked behind. Kina stood there silently as if waiting for orders. He was confused for a moment but came to a quick conclusion. It seemed that guests were given special treatment but this time he didn't want that as it may cause awkwardness between them, and so.....

"You can wait outside I will call you if I need anything." Karl said. The woman nodded and left.

Outside, Kina's gaze penetrated through the walls and she spotted many maids looking in her direction mostly at Karl. Upon meeting her gaze they immediately backed down resuming their duties. What she noticed was that he wasn't a noble since he appeared uncomfortable with being washed which was the tradition here.

This meant next time he couldn't escape this. She only took care of the Princess and it was going to appear uncomfortable if she did it now. She prepared a new set of clothes from who knows where.

It didn't take long for Karl to step out of the bathroom. A towel was rapped around his waist leaving the chest bare. His body was very perfect. His body was well toned without any fats. He was very handsome with silver hair and golden eyes which made him more charming.

Kina was left speechless. He was very handsome for it to be true. "You can now wear these clothes. Am sure yours are now worn out." Her voice was smooth and soft. Karl took the set of clothes but what surprised him was that they weren't modern based but those worn by nobles. They really looked good.

After some time, they walked out and headed to the dining room. There were different types of food on the table. A sweet aroma assaulted his nose. There were maids around who immediately left upon his arrival.

"You can have your meal now. And tell me if you need anything." Kina said and stood at his back.

"Hey care to join me, you know this is too much for one person." He said looking at the food and indeed it was too much for one person.

"Thanks for your generosity but it's not allowed. Maids are not allowed to eat with their masters or guests so am sorry." Kina explained herself not to create a misunderstanding.

"Kina you were told to do everything I ask right." He said and she nodded."Okay, now you sit and join me eat. Its not too much right." Karl said as he really never cared about things like traditions. Lia said she had to do anything he asked for so this was considered normal on his side.

Kina took a deep breathe and sat down. She was abit hesitant. She knew very well that other maids were watching. Though she didn't care about them, it was her first time to be treated like this. Vampires only respected strength. She couldn't gauge Karl's strength unless she probed which wasn't good.

All the maids in the Princess' quarters were powerful. It was easy to know what was happening and she knew they heard everything. Karl looked at her silently. He knew very well that this woman who appeared fragile and weak was very strong. He deduced that all maids here were all extremely trained in combat and assassination. Any slight mistake on his side would give him a golden ticket to meet King Yama in hell. Proof of this were the intensive gazes through the walls.

"Hey Kina can you please explain this place to me. I was just teleported here without any clue." He asked. Kina's reaction and those who happened to hear this was shock. 'Could the Princess have kidnapped him.' This thought passed through their heads but they quickly dismissed it.

"Anyway this is a Vampire world ruled by the Vampire Queen. Milady is one of the Princesses but there are many of her other siblings. This world doesn't have a sun thus its ever dark and cold. This doesn't mean it's totally dark since there is a bright moon in the sky. And also welcome to Nightingale the Vampire world." Kina said and stood up. They had already eaten to their fill.
