Megami Stream 1

All around the world various people were opening up their streaming apps and eagerly waiting for a countdown to reach zero. Most of them had been notified about an hour ago that the famous Megami group would be streaming again today.

They were a group of unnaturally beautiful women that streamed at various times through the day. They each shared the "Goddess_" screen name. No one knew where they lived, though many had tried to find out unsuccessfully. More than a few women also tried to petition to join the group, but all were turned awayl. No one knew the conditions to join, but most incorrectly figured one condition was related to their looks.

Of course there were a few haters that disliked them and accused them of using bots or using their bodies to gain so many fans, but those people quickly disappeared and were never heard from again not long afterward.

Others attributed the group's success to one of their supposed quirks that translated all of their words to the listener's native language perfectly. Though some of the more hardcore fans noticed Hestia had a similar ability before she even joined the group, most however chose not to think too much about it and just enjoyed the various personalities that called the group home.

Speaking of enjoying things, today's stream was about to start!

"Hello my beautiful people~ It's the Goddess Hestia here~! Did you all miss me?"

"Good afternoon everyone, Inari here,"

"Fenrir here. Over?"

Hestia kicked things off, greeting the stream in her usual cheerful tone. Followed by the polite and sisterly Inari and the confused Fenrir. Those tuning in could vaguely hear some whispers directed at the blue-haired girl, but she only seemed to grow more confused if placing her ears and tilt of her head was anything to go by.

The chat immediately went wild as soon as the stream officially started.

"Haha, you guys sure are lively today as well. Unfortunately, Tamamo is still on vacation and we don't know when she'll get back. Aqua and Palutena are both out today but they might join in later if they feel like it." Hestia smoothly said, ignoring the more annoying comments. She didn't need to say anything about Bishamon since most people already knew she was a hero.

"Ah, but we do have a special little guest with us. Though with how often she comes on now, she can hardly be called a guest at this point…" Hestia grumbled slightly at her daughter's exclusion from the group. Although she had her spot reserved, everyone just kind of came to the consensus she wouldn't be an official member until she awakened her divinity. Though the girl in question didn't seem to mind. In fact, she took her exclusion as an opportunity...

"Mwahaha, the dark lord has reawakened. Bow before me, my mortal subjects"

'Sigh, what am I going to do with this girl. In the first place, what goddess would be called a dark lord... More like, would those two stop encouraging her!? You're not even mortals!' Hestia wanted to shout looking at both Inari and Fenrir bowing to the dark lord Hikari while the little girl laughed maniacally.

"Well, at least she's having fun." Hestia concluded while worrying about her increasingly stranger daughter.

"Oh well, let's play some games!"

"Yeah, Mama! Let's play!"

The group had fun streaming for the next few hours. Hikari wasn't really allowed to read chat herself (for good reason) though they allowed her to respond to some questions Hestia read for her.

"Thank you, Chibi_Ice for the donation! Hmm, a question for Hikari-chan? Which goddess in the group is your favorite?"

"Mama~!" Hikari answered instantly with a hand raised unknowingly causing both Inari and Fenrir to sulk.

Hestia was extremely pleased and wanted to gloat, but seeing the state her two companions were in, she decided to be the bigger person and have Hikari pick someone that wasn't her.

"Hmmmm...Fenrir plays with me the most. Nari-san knows a lot of cheat codes. Hmm, Tama-chan makes good food. Veena tells cool stories. Angel lady is kinda scary sometimes... Aqua-san shows me a lot of cool tricks! But, I like Rabbit lady the most after Mama!" Hikari concluded after a few seconds of deliberation.

This of course left Fenrir and Inari depressed, but they all knew about the little girl's obsession with the rabbit goddess from early on, so they weren't surprised. Though Fenrir felt a fire light up in her heart and became determined to surpass the moon rabbit.

Unknown to all of them, somewhere else in the shrine, a certain gray-haired woman smiled softly while looking at the black-haired girl on her tablet screen while drinking some tea.

"You still have trouble remembering people's names, huh?" Hestia said, giving her loveable daughter a blank stare. She didn't understand how a girl as smart as Hikari had so much trouble remembering people's names. It was practically a miracle she remembered as many as she did. Aside from herself, she used to just call everyone by the color of their hair.

Hikari just gave her a cute tilt to the head, clearly not understanding the problem. To her, it was fine so long as she knew who they were.

The group ended the day with a few games of Among us, with Fenrir coming out on top each time because of her surprisingly good skills at hiding lies with the truth. Normally both Hestia and Hikari would have an advantage in this game since goddesses from Hestia's world all had the innate ability to tell when a person is lying. Hikari also inherited this ability, but she still got it wrong from time to time.

In the end Aqua and Palutena both didn't show up on stream, leaving a few of the fans dissatisfied, but many of them enjoyed themselves nonetheless.

Bishamon came home sometime in the middle of the stream, but she had some paperwork to take care of concerning a case, so she didn't join them this time.

It wasn't until about an hour after the steam ended that Aqua and Palutena returned home from shopping.

Apparently Aqua got scouted to be an Idol for the day for some reason. Though from Palutena's suspiciously content face, she likely had something to do with it.

She seemed to have fun though and suggested to the group they hold some kind of event of their own in the near future. It's not like they were lacking in money with the disgustingly large amount of donations they got every time they streamed.

Aqua always had some kind of wild idea she proposed every so often, so they were used to her random suggestions. This time, however, most of them thought it would be a fun idea. The only one opposed was Inari, who didn't want some random event to taint her shrine!

"Ah, some people in town talked about a summer festival they used to hold around this time. Why don't we do that? It would be a great way to get a lot of people involved and have some fun?" Palutena helpfully suggested to the group.

Inari seemed fine with that idea, no she seemed to be very eager about it seeing as it was a festival a lot of shrines used to hold around now. It would take a lot of planning and getting the right people involved, but she was sure she could make it happen in time for the actual date.

"But what do we do if any villains attack? Didn't they stop because someone died during the last one a while ago?" Hestia asked, worried about putting her daughter in danger unnecessarily.

Festivals had been on the decline since the advent of quirks, making people less religious and sometimes villains using those days to set up attacks. It would be dangerous to have such an event without the proper protection.

"I should be able to handle any third-rate villain that shows up, but I can still call in a few favors with some other heroes so they can help out if you'd like." Bishamon added in between sips of sake. She had saved quite a few heroes during her patrols, and some of them promised to return the favor. She had little use for them otherwise, so she might as well cash in on them now.

"Yay! Festival~ I wanna scoop fish!" Hikari was completely on board with the idea of a festival since she had never experienced one before. She had played a few games that featured them, but she wanted to experience one for herself.

"Then it's decided!" Aqua proclaimed while downing some beer. The Megami group would be hosting a festival.
