BACK STORY

After the death of Maria Lancelot, the Chevaliers opened Project Alpha which was to try and create a human/Nova hybrid. The head of the project was Dr. Gengo Aoi who although against the idea saw its potential for humanity.

For years the project failed since the Nova tissues always overpowered the Human DNA causing the fetus to die before fully developing.

One day Gengo decided to go with an idea he's been avoiding since the start of the project, to use the DNA of Maria something he kept a secret from the Chevaliers. It worked Maria's DNA which was slightly mutated by the Stigmata's in her body stabilized and harmonized with the Nova tissues leading to the creation of Maria Aoi or as the Chevaliers like to call her A-23.

Maria grew up in a secret training facility in England where it was discovered that not only is she stronger than any pandora and uses any abilities they and their limiters have she also can create any Volt Weapons she sees.

Maria also stayed a few times at the L. Bridget mansion, at the suggestion of Gengo, so that she can meet kids her age. This is where she met Satellizer L. Bridget who she became friends with and stood up for her against her half-brother seeing how horrible he treated her. This in turn made Satellizer develop a massive crush on Maria. They were separated when Satellizer became a pandora.

When Maria was finally allowed to join a school she chose West Genetics.
