The Most Anticipated Meeting

"Alright, we are here to hold a meeting between the New Dawn Unification organization and the CRM. We have special guests from other organizations." A man who would serve as the general evaluator to maintain order spoke as the room filled.

Among the people gathered in the room were Elizabeth, accompanied by Donald Okafor. Dominic was accompanied by his most loyal followers, along with others who didn't particularly interest him.

Since they were uniting for the defense of the shared country, Dominic's organization had 40% voting power, the CRM also had 40%, and the other organizations had 20%, which wasn't bad considering many didn't plan to compete with the major figures in this meeting.

"Esteemed listeners, thank you for gathering today. As you know, we are facing a critical situation with the influx of infected people coming from Canada, a country that now records zero human activity. What's concerning is that these new infected appear to be much faster, deadlier, and more aggressive than those we've previously encountered."

"For this reason, it is crucial that all our organizations present here today unite our forces and coordinate our border defense strategies. I propose that we divide the responsibility among our respective areas, sharing real-time information and acting swiftly to contain any threats that arise."

"It is vital that we work together to protect our communities and ensure the security of our borders. Together, we can face this challenge and minimize the impact of this new wave of infected. Do you all agree with this strategy?"

"The main locations where we will need personnel to keep all those walkers out of our country are New York, Chicago, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, and other states directly connected to Canada."

Dominic approached the microphone and said, "We have bases in Washington. The fleet we control in that area can support creating a direct defense there and attract all the infected entering our country."

"We could divert the infected from that location to Minneapolis. Additionally, we can take Missoula and establish bases there."

"So, you wouldn't leave the heart of the problems to us? We all know the coasts are not a problem to defend," a high-ranking CRM official immediately protested.

"Do you have any ships?" Daniel looked at the man, asking a question that left him speechless.

Dominic wouldn't back down from this decision and said, "We could clean the cities behind those points. We'd need to move the walkers close to those bases so they won't be a problem during a larger-scale confrontation."

Dominic's plan was to use the resources of these communities to clean the country for him, but they could leave the matter of more advanced walker wars to him.

Many in this meeting knew they couldn't stand each other; others wanted control over others, but that wouldn't work in the long run.

Everyone in this room would end up killing each other to gain control over each other. Everything might look fine now, but things could change later.

However, Dominic had an infiltrator, a high-ranking one, who would give him the chance to change things without having to launch a damn nuclear bomb in this place.

"What if it doesn't work?"

Dominic looked at the man who asked. He seemed to be the general of the CRM's armed forces, so Dominic said, "If it doesn't work, then I have several nuclear submarines that can finish our job."

Everyone fell silent; the weight of Dominic's words was truly intimidating, to the point where many couldn't even say anything else.

"Well, knowing what our positions will be, there's nothing left but to separate and settle," Elizabeth said, and soon after, she left.

Many began to leave, all making sure to say goodbye to Dominic, who bid them farewell with a kind smile.

When everyone had left, Dominic walked through a park inhabited by citizens, and beside him was Okafor, who hadn't spoken to him since the last time. "I told you bombing cities wasn't a good idea."

"Did you mention it?"

Dominic lit a cigarette and said, "Your leader will try to kill me. How can we solve this without killing each other?"

"Eliminate all the high-ranking officials who could be a problem for your rise to power, and I will remove those problems. To be honest, you are the only one who can prevent all the genocide that happens outside here." Okafor made it very clear that Dominic was the savior of all these people and the leader with the most potential to do things right.

"Then help me promote my agents. They are currently here, rising through the ranks," Dominic said, giving him only a list of half the agents present. He didn't want to be deceived and left without possibilities.

Okafor looked at Dominic as he walked away and murmured, "Don't die."
