Chapter 7:More questions answered by Rumors

Some say that Wallachia was cursed by an evil, others say it is not. And others well, the older sage ones claim that it was. Till now it was believed to be a myth that in the lands there resided creatures conjured from hell and that the devil himself walked amongst men wreaking havoc wherever possible. But know it was just a rumor talked about to scare kids at the time. But that day the rumor came to life.It was at the market square in the capital, the usual bickering between merchants and customers. But this one in particular was unusual. The buyer was lamenting to the merchant about the increase in cost of flour by two pennys. The merchant told him to suck it to the king. From there onwards no rumor was clear about how things went on the way they did( so lemme skip it through.).Outside the grand castle flocked hundreds of 'peasants'. Known for their meekness to the royal guards but this time they proved them wrong. Violent insults, angry faces and crude weapons. From hoes to spade to kitchen knives and the blades they could salvage. No matter how ridiculous it looked so long it could harm better yet kill, they brought it.The chief guard tried to reason with the crowd who demanded the king to show up.One man in the crowd, rumor says the man who began it all, decided to escalate the matter. The confusion of it all gave him the element of surprise and before anyone knew anything, a sword was brandished onto the guards chest shutting him up for good. The havoc unfolded with its onslaught, the mod descended on the guards and they did the same. Result, carnage with blood stained walls. The knights were skilled but few to overpower the crowd as they were slaughtered and the revolution made its way into the castle.By the days end before the army reinforcements arrived, the royal family was dead by the hands of the people. Not one person in particular but the people. This was very hard to try and decipher the murderers.A lot of bloodshed all because of two pennys added on the price of flour. Or was that the reason? Or maybe the myth was true. The chaos had yet began in the lands and not just in Wallachia.
