Deal Between Alia and Wolves - Chapter 16

Adrian stood there, his heart racing and his chest heaving. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He had never been attacked by a wild animal before. He looked down at his hands and saw that they were shaking uncontrollably. He took a few deep breaths and tried to calm himself down.

After a few minutes, Adrian gathered himself and went back to chopping down the tree. However, his mind was still racing with what had just happened. He couldn't shake off the feeling of fear and vulnerability that had gripped him during the attack. He realized that he had been relying too much on his magical abilities and had become complacent with his physical abilities.

As he continued to chop down the tree, Adrian resolved to start training his body more and not rely solely on his magic. He knew that he had to be prepared for anything that could happen in the wild. The experience had shaken him, but it had also given him a newfound appreciation for the balance between magic and physicality.

"I also understand that the difference between real battles and the videos that I have watched in the documentaries back then on Earth is not nearly the same at all."

"The feeling, the adrenaline, and the fear of death and pain, when put all together, create a hell of a drug for the human body and my mind."

Adrian took the logs and the wolf body as he went back to camp. Alia saw the corpse of the wolf, and her face started to turn red from anger; her eyes started to get bloody.

"Those wolves, those wolves have no idea which border they're fucking crossing."

She screamed as the logs on the ground that Adrian had cut turned into ice blocks and were pulverized in less than one second.

Adrian started talking.

"I know, I needed to call for help, but I had no time to call you at all."

Alia looked at Adrian, and her eyes softened for a split second before she began speaking.

"This is not our fault; it may seem like my fault, but it is not; these wolves are called Frost Wolves; they are controlled by Ice Wolves, and those Ice Wolves have a minimum of human intelligence." "They know that these woods and this place in general are my border, and it is prohibited to enter."

Adrian was surprised when he learned about the deal between Alia and the Frost Wolves. He couldn't believe that wolves, creatures he always thought of as wild and uncontrolled, could make deals and agreements like humans.

"Wait, so the wolves are controlled by other wolves?" Adrian asked, trying to wrap his head around the idea.

Alia nodded. "Yes, the Frost Wolves are controlled by their more intelligent cousins, the Ice Wolves. They have the ability to communicate with humans and even make deals with us. "It's how we've managed to maintain peace in this area."

Adrian was impressed. He had never heard of anything like this before. "That's amazing," he said. "How did you come to make a deal with them?"

"It wasn't easy," Alia said with a smile. "It took a lot of negotiation and patience." But eventually, we reached an agreement that benefits both sides. "They don't bother me or my territory, and in return, I don't hunt them or harm their habitat."
