Imminent Threat

(A/N: Hello Guys, I genuinely apologize for the last chapter, I was extremely distracted when writing that chapter, and tried to finish it as fast as possible, My friends kept coming in and out of my Dorm room, and I couldn't even focus, so I just did my best to end it as fast as possible without considering the characters' personalities and writing level, Especially since the next few chapters I'm excited about writing, Since my favorite character in all fiction is making an appearance soon! "The Reach and the United Nations take this unprovoked and aggressive threat Very seriously, unfortunately, the Reach only has this simple ship, designed for peaceful exploration and diplomacy and unequipped with any weapons" Spoke the Reach's Ambassador on live TV, the entire Justice League was watching the news and devising plans on how to deal with the current situation

"Recognized Raiden B-10"

As soon as Raiden walked inside the Justice League Watch Tower, the entire corps turned in his direction, some even prepared for battle against him, as he was and still is, a wanted Criminal

"You are no longer welcome here, Raiden Kagawa! Surrender yourself peacefully, and don't even think about Transforming, or I will blast you on before that!" spoke Captain Atom as he aimed his hands at Raiden, energy forming, waiting for any sudden movement, there were other members that joined in, threatening him as well, but dick was quick to try and calm everyone down "Calm down everyone, we have a bigger threat here!"

"Are we sure that the War World is a bigger threat?" joked Impulse as he was preparing to fight as well

"No it's not, And Just so we're clear, none of you are a real threat, I didn't come here to fight you, I came here to help deal with that massive Satellite that's just about to reach Earth, after all, Wanted or not, Earth is still my Home," said Raiden as he nonchalantly ignored the threats of the league members, facing forward and focused on the real threat

This prompted Captain Atom to disagree saying "We Don't need the help of a wanted Criminal, the League is more than enough to deal with this threat" Hearing Atom's Words Raiden smiled as he said "That's a great idea, you should never accept help from a Wanted Criminal! It's a good thing I'm not wanted anymore isn't it!"

Hearing that Captain Atom was confused before he heard the next words from Nightwing "Captain! He's telling the truth! Here look" Nightwing projected his computer screen to all the screens in the Watchtower "Raiden Kagawa's Wanted Statues Has been Suspended, Furthermore, after dealing with the current threat, All the important figures in the country are meeting up to discuss, full Amnesty on all his crimes with a possibility of an Immunity on all activities that he does, as long as they are deemed to be the Will of the Planet and for the sake of protecting it, and Humanity"

"How is that possible!" said Atom as he looked surprised, Nightwing said "It's the orders of the United States president, the congress also approved, I'm not sure why, but he's not wanted anymore"

Raiden smiled as he said "I had a little talk with the president, and she understood my actions, I was hoping Y'all would understand as well considering not long ago, most of you here, were considered vigilantes, and not heroes, I'm pretty sure you all have seen the footage, so it should be clear that my actions were necessary, allowing evil to infest inside the government just because you don't have solid evidence, is downright idiotic, sometimes, one has to use underhanded means to achieve peace"

"now can we focus on the threat over there? I'm not here to explain my actions to you lot, I'm here to save the planet…Again"

With Raiden's Wanted status suspended, Atom couldn't do anything to arrest him, however, he was adamant about having his eyes on him saying "Fine you are free, but We don't need you in this operation, we don't know what kind of underhanded methods you'll resort too again, as such, you will not be allowed to join this operation"

"Oh Really? And since when did I need your approval? Listen up here, Captain, you're starting to get on my nerves, this isn't some sort of a joke military operation where shit goes to plan, this is a threat to the entire planet, So forgive me for not giving a single fuck about your opinion on this"

Raiden's aggressive tone made it clear that he wasn't here to play nice, this didn't sit well with Captain Atom, but Nightwing's words eased up the heated duo "He's right Captain, this isn't a Justice League operation, or Even The Team's mission, this is a World level threat, we need all the help we can get"

"Fine, But I'll be keeping my eye on you," said Atom, this made Raiden roll his eyes, but he didn't say anything, after all, he didn't care about who was watching him

"Then I shall Proceed with the explanation," said the Green Beetle, a Martian who was connected with the same beetle as the one in Blue Beetle, Raiden didn't know much about him, so he was going to wait until after the briefing before he asked Nightwing

"I managed to hack the reach's database and found some information about this Mega satellite structure, it is known as the War World, It was made by a long-extinct civilization, and it's filled with a massive amount of armory, weapons of mass destruction, strong enough to even destroy your world, according to the Data, it can only be activated with a Key" as the Martian continued to speak, the screen showed the face of a tall and muscular alien, with orange skin "this man known as Mongul, found the key and activated it, The WarWorld is self-powering and self-sustaining, it has an endless supply of worker drones that provide repair and security, Mongul can control the WarWorld using the help at the command room, he can control it with his mere thoughts, as long as he is wearing the helm of control"

The Martian continued to explain more about Mongul and his reason for being here, Mongul was an exiled dictator from his home planet and desired to regain power, he came to the conclusion that the only way to do so, was by taking over the entire galaxy

"Why has he come here ?" asked Captain Atom, the question on everyone's mind, to which the Martian said "I believe he has deemed Earth a worthy threat to his galaxy domination quest"

with the briefing almost ending, Atom said "Since we've confirmed that this 'WarWorld' is a threat to Earth, we'll have to devise a plan to disable it and protect the Earth, we'll regroup in an hour, and conjure a plan"

after the briefing, Raiden walked toward Dick saying "Long time no see" This made dick a bit angry and he said "Dude! Where have you been? well, I know where you were, but you didn't even inform me, we could have helped you with Amanda and the Demon Trigon! we defeated him before!"

hearing that, Raiden sighed saying "He was much stronger this time, And you only managed to defeat him last time due to him being weakened and the power-up given to you by Merlin, something I can't do just yet"

"Okay fine, but what about the Vice President Kidnapping and Amanda? you went over the line! you are now a national threat!" said Dick, to which Raiden smiled saying "Ex-National Threat, I had a talk with the President, she was very understanding of my actions"

"And how exactly did you get a meeting with her?" asked Dick with a suspicious hint, to which Raiden Scratched his head saying "I Kinda uh...Infiltrated the White House"

"WHAT!!?? Are you CRAZY!" screamed Dick, this made Raiden try to shush him since he was drawing attention saying "Hey calm down, it worked out just fine!"

"And what if it didn't! what would you have done then!"

Raiden smiled saying "Guess we'll never know"

"Anyways, I've been away for a while, catch me up on what's been going on, like who's that green beetle Martian," said Raiden, hearing that, Dick explained to him about what happened since he was gone

How Megan was mock kidnapped by Artemis and Deathstroke who had replaced his arms with a prosthetic one, how she fixed the Mentally injured Kaldur, he also explained what happened with Jaime Reyes aka the blue beetle, and how Impulse came back from the future to stop him from becoming a world-dominating dictator, according to Impulse, in the Future, the Reach manages to conquer Earth and enslave its people, with Blue beetle's help

"What about Mr.Green Beetle is he trustworthy?" said Raiden, Nightwing nodded saying "Yes, At least we think so, some of the team members were on a mission and encountered Black, Green saved them and they escaped together, according to him, the beetle wasn't able to control him since he was a green Martian, and his body's physiology was special"

"Is that so? if he hacked the Reach to gain this information, wouldn't he have been able to do the same and find the location of the Reach's fleet? sounds a bit convenient to me that he was only able to access files about the WarWorld"

upon hearing Raiden's words, Dick opened his eyes wide in shock saying "Does that mean? but Megan scanned his mind, she said there's nothing suspicious about him"

"He's a Martian just like her, I'd imagine he has some sort of ability that makes him hide his thoughts, or even worse, Megan wasn't strong enough, it's very possible, considering how she was useless against Despero"

"You might be on to something Raiden, Zatanna informed me of an Ancient ritual that could help cleanse the Scarab from the reach's control, we were planning on taking Jaime and the Martian there after dealing with the WarWorld, I might need you to be there, just in case, since I can't trust him anymore"

Atom and the senior League members came back, Dick also participated in the meeting about the plans on how to deal with the WarWorld

"The Plan is simple, Earth's number one defense is the justice league, and I imagine Mongul knows this too, so we'll focus on frontal assault, while the team infiltrates the WarWorld, the team will split in three, Team A Will attack on Mongul directly and try to remove him from the helm, Team B will try to find the Key's location and take it, Team C will try and find the WarWorld's engine and destroy that, this way, we can guarantee success as long as one teams manage to succeed, Dr. Fate will also be participating, he'll provide the planet with defense from the Warworld's Mass destruction weapons, as for you Raiden, we haven't given you any role, so we'll leave it up to you" hearing Dick's words, Raiden smiled when he said that Raiden given full freedom, not like they could really restrain him, but he appreciated that Dick probably had to do a lot of convincing in the meeting room

"Get Ready, The WarWorld is closing in on Earth now," said Atom as the team started to go to their ships and form up in their designated teams

(Is it done Scáthach ?) said Raiden Inside his mind, to which Scáthach Replied (Yes, I placed a Magical imprint on all of the members going inside the WarWorld)

Scáthach was inside His Shadow all along, and no one knew that her Stealth skills were so good, that Raiden still couldn't believe that she was a lancer

(Good, with this, we can proceed with the plan, Dr.Fate should be able to do just about that much)

Unbeknownst to anyone, Raiden had already devised a plan to take down the WarWorld, a plan he worked on a few weeks ago when he made his deal with the Light.
