CHAPTER 3- THE TOUR

The last bell of the school hour section rang, indicating the end of class for the day. The hall was getting filled with lots of students that were excited to leave classes. Akira and Carin had shove around to get to their lockers; getting their stuffs they made their way out of the crowded hall. "Anywhere you want to explore?", Carin asked. She had planned on taking Akira to places worth viewing around the school and show her some cool areas to chill. Akira pondered for a minute. They were a lot of places she wanted to explore. Her hand gripped her history textbook as she realized the best place to explore first. "The library", she announced bringing her walk to a halt. She turned to face the scowling look on Carin's face "No" "No?", Akira questioned puzzled. She began walking, a lot quicker than before to catch up with Carin's movement. "Why?" Carin came to a halt so suddenly startling Akira, who nearly fell down as she had not expected the swift turn. "why?", Carin mocked her question "it's a new school and the first place you want to do is to explore a library. That is basically prolonged reading! It's not even like you're reading for a test". "Oh!", Akira understood Carin's point "Let's go hangout then". She placed her textbook back in her bag and linked her arms with Carins. "For real?" "Yeah", Akira felt happy with her decision. She was pleased with the look of happiness being displayed on Carin's face. "Well then my friend, let me officially welcome you to a week-long tour. Every day we explore new places and make memories together". "Yes Ma'am", Akira replied to Carin's word. They continued their walk, leaving the school and administrative building. "Our first location would be the cottages, those are the dorms given to the Mystical people and witches", Carin explained leading the way. "This is one of the first dorms to be constructed here", she continued "They are over a hundred cottages for a maximum of five people, you could even think of it as a shared apartment" "They are so cute", Akira complimented. They had reached their destination. "You know something I've noticed, everyone here looks so human, no wings, no tails or magic. It looks just like a regular human campus." "Well that's because they have enchantments on", Carin explained. Akira nodded slightly in understanding. "If you're so curious to see everyone without their enchantment then that would be on bonfire Friday parties", Carin continued talking. "It's a huge party and open to everyone" Akira had already began imaging her Friday would turn out to look like. "Excuse me". Akira felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to face who had just tapped her. It was a smallish in statue girl who had a waist length, blond hair and was wearing a baggy sweater and shorts. "What to have you palm read?" "Pardon?", Akira was taken aback at the girl's request "Palmistry?" "Just 25 dollars a session", the girl gave a sly smile and extended her hand, palm open "Wow! Now hold up a minute" ,Carin stated coming in between both girls "Trying to scam us huh?" The girl groaned in annoyance "Excuse me, I was talking to her not you" "Ha!", Carin let out a gasp "And who do you think you are?" "I'm Iris, now would please shift from my way. My magic is itching to read her palm" Carin was taken aback. She was shocked and found the girl annoying. "Now there Missy…" Carin's words were interrupted by Akira's tapping her shoulder. Carin sighed and stepped out of the way. "Now Iris", Akira began "I'm not a fan of random palm reading, how about some other time?" Iris smiled at Akira, "Double the fee then" "You're a scammer!", Carin gasped removing her hand from Akira's shoulder. "I'm a fore-sight witch", Iris proudly proclaimed wiggling her tongue at Carin. "I like you", she told Akira lastly before skipping her way to her dorm. "She doesn't feel the same!", Carin yelled at her. "I wasn't talking to you!", Iris yelled back. Akira found their behavior to be very childish. Honestly she wasn't in interested in having her palms read but was interested in getting to know Iris. She found her interesting. "The nerve!", Carin complained. Unlike Akira, she wasn't interested in getting to know her. She found Iris to be annoying and far from interesting. "Calm down", Akira stated as she lead Carin to a nearby school bench "What's the big deal anyway" "She's a scammer!, and my duty as a caring and loving best friend is not to watch you fall prey to this sort of people", Carin stated, defending her actions. "It's past now" Akira patted Carin on the back to calm down her mood. "Next stop is the lucky pond…", Carin continued her tour regaining her composure. "You may ask what makes it lucky. Well I will tell you, legend have it a fairy blessed the pond to help people find love". "Sounds like a made up story", Akira interrupted her friend's speech. Carin clicked her teeth, "Believe it or not. Now back to the story, well our school decided to build a café around the pond in order to make it more convenient to hang out around" "Isn't it lovely?" They had spotted the café from some distance. "Yeah it looks nice", Akira replied. "Now let's…" "Well, well", Akira dragged back Carin, who had begun heading forward to the café's direction. "Let's skip that part" "You don't want a snack?", Carin raised a brow at her. "I'm quite full from lunch, no need to waste our time there", Akira replied in a haste to finish up the tour. Carin grinned, "I see, you don't want to find your lover when you're not properly dressed to impress" "No!", Akira had a shocked face in display. "Deny all you want", Carin replied with a grin still on her face. She continued her walk opposite direction from the café. "I'm serious", Akira ran to catch up with her. "Sure", Carin replied her still with a grin on her face. Akira groaned knowing she couldn't stop her friend from her beliefs. "I'm exhausted", Akira lamented on their third tour place, the ancient spring rock. "Already?" "Yeah". Akira replied falling down on the ground. "Hey! Get up!", Carin scowled. "No", Akira groaned rolling on the ground. "Get up now!", Carin demanded. "Nope", Akira's reply remained unchanged. "I give up", Carin sighed and sat down on the ground "What are you doing?", Akira asked sitting up. Carin grinned, "Let's embarrass ourselves together". She playfully pushed her down, rolling together with her. They both erupted in laughter.
