Chapter 6: Meeting

Juliet couldn't be there at Jason's last moments but she wanted to pay him a last visit. So, at afternoon she went to the Graveyard with a white rose in her hands.

After reaching there, she saw the nameplate of Jason on a newly formed grave. She walked to it and sat down beside the grave. She placed the White rose on the grave saying "I'm sorry Jason..it was my fault..all my fault." Her eyes couldn't contain the heavy tears and let them fall from her eyes..she was crying..she didn't show..she was this much broken in front of her family but here no one was watching her here so she didn't has to think before crying her heart out.

"If I wouldn't have insisted on going to that dinner ceremony you would be with your family today.. I'm sorry... I'm really sorry.. I may not have thank you properly for what you have done for me till date.. after my father I really felt the sense of security from you like an elder brother..you always showed me the right path of light..

but I think I'm not worth of anyone's love in my life... that's why the persons I love the most are leaving me one by one...." she chuckled sadly.

"but don't worry about your family I'll take care of them until my last breath.. I'll protect them at any cost..... So wherever you are just be happy.. I'll not let anything happen to your family.. that's my promise" she was sitting beside his grave for like one and half hours.. The sky was tinged with the last sun rays of the day... It was getting darker by the time..She bid her farewell to Jason's grave and started to walk back to home..

When she was about to walk out of the gate of the graveyard..she saw a figure was sitting on the bench of the entrance of graveyard. "It's him.." she mumbled..then she walked to that direction..

Duke just wanted to be alone after these all chain of incidents..so he went to the graveyard to get some peace..Just doing one mistake, his centuries of hardworks was in vain..but come to think of it he found the reason why he couldn't ignore that incident that day.. "because of her..her voice..she lured me to act like that.." he was saying all of these to himself and blaming Juliet for all of things happened to him..

"Can I sit here?" .. the same sweet and calm voice rang to his ears...he darted up his gaze at her..yes "it's her".. Duke was already having so much unwanted events in his life for this person and seeing her in front of him once again raged him with anger.. He sternly replied "No."

Juliet was a bit shocked by his sudden rejection but said "I think you forget about me.." Duke's anger was triggered once again..he thought "how can I forget the reason for my own destruction".. He didn't answer anything..

Juliet sat down at a distance on the bench.. darkness covered the whole place.. "Whether you remember me or not.. thanks for saving us that day.. Jason couldn't make it though..o sorry I mean the man you saved that day.." Duke was aware of everything so her presence was irritating him.. they sat there in silence for some minutes.

"I was hospitalized for many days when Jason passed away so I wanted to see him for the last time..Are you also here to say goodbye to someone?" Juliet broke the silence by questioning politely. "It's really hard for everyone to adjust the unexpected changes in their life all of a sudden..I can understand that but we should keep going and embrace them who are still by our side"

Duke didn't utter a single word..it was like as if Juliet was talking to herself.

To break the awkwardness she again said "Back then I was not in a state to say even a thanks to you but if there is anything that I can do in return for you.. I'll be happy to do so" Duke was at the utmost level of controlling his anger to restrain himself from doing something wrong for a second time. So he gazed at her saying " Do me a favor.. go away from my eyesight"

Juliet didn't expect this answer from him but then she thought maybe it's just he is in some sort of pain as he was sitting here all alone..so Juliet went near him and rest her palm against his shoulder saying.."I understand".. she then walked out of the graveyard.. Duke was dumbfounded for a moment.. "What the hell do you understand now after making my life so miserable!!??" he said angrily after she left the graveyard.

Duke went to the church which was closed by the time so he sat on the stairs of the gate.."Duke you should focus on your mission rather than blaming her for your deed" Duke look up to see his friend Angelo, the Angel of Life is in front of him.

"I don't think this work can be done by me.. it irritates me to my bottom line when I see her.. it's just impossible for me to make her fall for me"

Angelo came to his side and sat beside him.. " to make her fall for you..you have to be around her at least.." Duke said " and why she will let me stay by her side!??

And moreover, even if she is willing to do that but I'M NOT..she is annoying".

"Duke, it's not a time for your preferance.. if you want to get back to where you were.. you need to think of a way for it".

"Then tell me what should I do?" Duke said being irritated.

"There is a vacant position.. you know.." Angelo said before disappearing into thin air.
