Chapter 5: The Truth

Juliet came back to her home a few days ago..but she wondered why Mr. Park is still not visiting her! Mr. Park was like an Elder Brother to her..Each and everything she does, anywhere she goes even while making hard decisions for the company, he accompanied her in every step. Mr. Jason Park was the son of Juliet's father's personal secretary. Jason also worked with her father for a few months.  Then he became her personal secretary at work and a brother figure outside the work.. Juliet always felt very comfortable around him as their families knew each other for a long time... and she felt like a parental protection is always there for her around him.

Jason along with his wife Jessica and his 2 years old daughter Lisa used to live in the Brown's Mansion owned by his former President, Juliet's father. It was also convenient for Juliet as he was able to help her anytime regarding company matters and other related stuffs. His wife, Jessica also loved her dearly for her soft and heartwarming personality.

Sitting on a couch, Juliet was working on her laptop and sipping her black coffee. After a while a little baby voice rang to her ears "Julie... Julie.. you came back!?"

Juliet stood up from the couch and went towards that voice.. picking up Lisa in her arms.. "Yes Lisa.." 

Lisa was informed after 1 week of Juliet's arrival as she was not totally recovered from her injuries yet.

Juliet was Lisa's one and only friend till now as she has not started going to school. Juliet used to spend her most of the time with Lisa whenever she is at home. Lisa was fond of fairytales so Juliet used to read that stories for her, play with her and pampered her with teddies, chocolates, & other toy stuffs..

With puppy eyes Lisa kissed her cheek and said " I missed you.."

Juliet also did the same while saying " I missed you more.."

Lisa rested her head on Juliet's shoulder saying.."Julie where is papa? Wasn't he with you... You came back but why he didn't!??? And mama also said that papa has gone on a long trip!! Where is he!! I miss him so much.." sadness was evident in her voice.

Juliet was not getting what Lisa was saying because her granny told her that he was alright then where did he go? But she didn't express her concern in front of Lisa... She just said.. "Yup mama is right baby....he has gone on a long trip but don't worry he will come back to you very soon" Lisa raised her head and a cute smile appeared on her face.. making her look like an Angel.

Putting Lisa down on the couch she gave her some dolls to play with.."Lisa..play with them and Julie will come back in some minutes okay!" Lisa nodded twice.

Juliet then went to Jessica's room for asking what was going on! When she was about to enter she heard someone was talking while sobbing.. she didn't understand the matter..then she heard.."I know he will not come back but you need to live on for your daughter and your unborn child.. please stop crying Jessica.. It is bad for the baby".

"Granny's voice!" Juliet mumbled.

"How can he leave us in this state when he knows that we need him t.." Juliet opened the door of the room.

Jessica didn't finish her sentence as she saw Juliet at the door.."Granny what happened! What was she talking about!? What leaving them in this state!? Where is Jason!? Didn't you said he is okay then what is going on!? Has he gone somewhere for work or what!? Will you please tell me what are you keeping from me!?" Her Grandmother was taken aback by all these sudden questions that came from her without a pause. Jessica couldn't hold back anymore and cried her heart out finally..

Juliet was scared of the obvious..she didn't wanted to hear what the situation in that room was indicating her. Selena left a heavy sigh and said "Jason is no more.. he didn't survive..he died before he was taken to the hospital...I didn't told you before because the doctors said any kind of excitement is harmful for you and could've affected your recovery..I'm sorry for keeping it from you" .

Juliet felt like the ground under her feet slipped down and she felt drowsy in the thought that Jason will not be around anymore.. Selena came quickly and hold her.. making her sit on a chair she said.."this was the reason I didn't tell you.. You can't take it even when you are at home for several days now.."

Juliet didn't say anything but the tears started to fall from her eyes silently.. Then after some minutes she walked to Jessica and sat beside her on the bed. "Jessica, from now on I'll take all of your, Lisa's and your unborn child's responsibilities. Don't cry ok..Jason wanted to see his second child coming to this world but if you keep crying then you might hurt the baby's health.. so don't cry.. His wish was to see all of you happy..Even if he is not here it is my responsibility to take care of you because you are my family too..."

It was not an unexpected gesture from Juliet and Jessica was well aware of that.. She nodes slowly and they hugged each other. Juliet patted her back gently..trying to stop her from crying. Suddenly the door opened reveling Lisa.. Her smile faded when she saw her mom crying.. "Mama what happened?"

Juliet's attention shifted towards her when she came running towards Lisa and picked her up. "Nothing Lisa..mama had some dust on her eyes.. it's gone now..umm, let's go.. tell me what do you want to eat.. I'll make that for you.." Lisa giggled and said "ok!! Then make me chocolate pancakes" Juliet smiled at her and leave the room after flashing a soft and assuring smile to Jessica..

Juliet knew Jessica is in pain..she needs time to get back in normal life.. she can't handle Lisa for now so she left her granny to take care of her..she was heartbroken as well but now she had more responsibilities to take care of.
