baby....

Alina woke up after a while. She could see bright lights hanging from the ceiling. Her eyesight was extremely blurred.

She noticed that she was in some kind of room. Alina tired to move but her body didn't listen to her at all. She felt stuck in her own body.

Alina tried to listen for noises and sounds but it was extremely quite in the room. All she could hear was a soft breathing from her side.

First she thought that she was hearing her own breathing but after observing for a while she knew that it was not hers. There was someone lying beside her.

[Wait! I am actually breathing!] Alina was excited to finally breathe. Alina wanted to move around to check the surroundings and the situation.

[Could it be… can it really be... that I am alive again] alina heard door opening and then a few people entered. She knew judging from the number of footsteps that at least 3 people entered this room.

Someone gently touched her face. That person was about to pick alina up when someone stopped him.

"Sir! Please let me carry the baby out of the crib first" it sounded like a voice of women in her 40s. Somehow this voice sounded extremely familiar to alina.

"I can do it, don't worry" it sounded like a man's voice.

Alina knew that she knew these voices; these voices were really familiar to her.

"With all due respect, babies are fragile creatures; they can get hurt by the slightest mistake" the women replied.

"Fine!" the voice sounded as if he was pouting.

"Oh! Did we wake you up, little Alex" the women noticed that alina had her eyes open.

[What, are you talking to me? From do you see as something that is little..] Alina could see a blurry figure standing right above her.

Alina thought that she somehow have been saved, she couldn't move or see something because she must have heavy injuries.

She did think that it was weird that these people left the people in a room with a injured person. She knew about babies from the conversation.

The women then lift the baby out of the crib and gently handed the baby to the man.

[Wait, why am I being lifted. Huh, what going on, someone please help me…] alina couldn't make any sense of what was happening.

"Oh look, the baby is pouting… he looks so cute" the man exclaimed as he secured his grip on alina.

Alina now knew why the voices seem so familiar. She knew she missed these voices so much, it had been years she have heard them. The voices belonged to her father Alex and her nanny Mammy.

Alina couldn't control herself as she burst into tears, all her memories were flashing in her mind. As soon as baby alina started crying, lily followed her lead.

"Sshhh sshh, don't cry, daddy is right here with you" Alex was gently swaying alina from left to right. The action looks so peaceful as if he had done this a million times, his face was also extremely calm, most fathers would be panicking right now.

Mammy was impressed to see this grown up side of Alex. In reality Alex was freaking out in his mind.
