Chapter 34: The Guru

The last period was over which was an English class at the end and with that the students were about to set off out of the college.

Bharat was also about to go home and started leaving the classroom with his two mates Rahul and Gaurav while they were exiting the class Bharat was called out by Professor Shastri.

Professor Shastri said: "Bharat please come with me to my office and all others can leave for the day."

Bharat was confused for a moment as to why he was called by his class teacher however he did not have any answers for it so he had to just follow Professor Shastri obediently.

On the other hand Rahul and Gaurav looked at each other with questioning glare as to why should the class teacher only call Bharat who was a new student. Was there any complaint against him recently so they looked worried about Bharat however the other students just went on their own business to attend since when the college is done many students have many plans for themselves.

When Professor Shastri reached his office staff room along with Bharat most of the teachers had already left by then he took Bharat into his private cabin in the staff room.

The Cabin room was a bit small and was filled with racks which were loaded with books on the two sides of the room and on the middle wall which was just behind the desk of Professor Shastri the portraits of a few national heroes and scientists with great contribution were hung.

Professor Shastri had the appearance of a middle-aged guy in his fifties and had an attractive face.

Professor Shastri entered, sat in his chair behind the desk, and motioned for Bharat to take one of the two chairs opposite him and said: "Please sit down."

Bharat sat obediently and a bit anxiously since at this point of time he remembered how he was not accepted in the previous college which was in the Rajgarh Town and thought this time the college had accepted him somehow however now they want to expel him and Professor Shastri might have called him for that reason.

Bharat thought that eventually today he was going to be expelled even after so much effort of winning the sprint race to be in this college and becoming the college hero even after that all was going to be in vain.

Professor Shastri inquired: "Bharat it has been more than a week since you are in this college though it is such a short time however I would like to ask you if you are facing any issues or any problems in the college and if you have then you can confide in me and I can take care of the problem."

Bharat said: "Sir at the moment everything seems to be fine. Initially I had faced problems however you came and saved me from the crisis and now I have even made two friends with Rahul and Gaurav in the class. So all in all it has been all good."

Professor Shastri said: "And how do you feel after the victory you have got in the sprint competition and becoming the college hero."

Bharat said: "Sir it's new for me and feels great since now everyone is treating me good."

Professor Shastri said: "But what if I tell you now that you are an embarrassment for the college and a cheater since you have not won the race through natural means."

Bharat was afraid after listening to Professor Shastri and asked: "Sir I have won the race with my full effort only and I do not understand what you are trying to imply by saying that the race was not won by natural means."

 Professor Shastri said: "Bharat do not try to fool me even if the other common people do not know about the powers which you have, however you cannot hide the powers from my eyes. So tell me how many times you have used these kinds of powers previously to win a competition and do not hide anything from me."

Bharat did not know what to say now since he had never brought this up or shared this secret of his life with anyone previously not even his parents or friends and now someone was claiming that he could sense his power and was also able to know that he has won the race through that power. However he never used the power voluntarily because at times when he tried to use the power previously he failed miserably and got beaten up hence he did not know how to proactively use the power he could only sense the power in his body however could not use it.

However since the Professor already knew that he had the powers and had caught Bharat using it so it was pointless to hide it from him anymore so he decided to acknowledge it.

Bharat said: "Sir Yes, I utilized my powers during the sprint race, but I'm not sure how because I don't have any control over it given that it happens automatically many times, and other times, even when I want to use it, I can't seem to use my power. So I never meant to use this power, it just automatically happened and if you want I can return the title and the medal."

Professor Shastri was a matured and aged person so he knew quite well that Bharat was telling the truth with one look at him. Also he did conduct a full background check of Bharat after the Sprint competition and knew everything about Bharat and his family so he was sure that Bharat was not hiding anything after all.

Professor Shastri said: "I believe you that you are telling the truth because if it was not me and if that would have been ITB then the situation would be very different."

Bharat asked: "Sir what is ITB?"

Professor Shastri said: "Before you know about the ITB you have to know about the basic concepts first and for that you have to first acknowledge me as your GURU so that I can imbibe my teachings on you and guide you in terms of your power."

Professor Shastri further asked: "Are you willing to accept me as your GURU?"
