Aria and Nox… sisters?

Appearing before a garden of exotic plants, trees, and flowers, Nirin inspected her surroundings in detail. Confirming the absence of danger, Nirin wandered the garden appreciating the plants and butterflies.

Ten minutes had passed before many a more people showed up, all having filtered in through side rooms similar to her's, they only stopped after twenty minutes and totaled around thirty people.

Bells chimed within the garden, and with them came a pristine staircase of ivory that faded out of existence like a gradient towards the top. The people of all ages looked in In curiosity, for who knew what would come from the staircase.

Moments later a divine beauty wearing a white dress of light woven together to form beautiful yet subtle patterns came down from the staircase.

With Arias Arrival, a passage of space-time cracked in the ceiling. The other side a hellscape of fiery fields of undead and darkness, which seeped through too reality.

From within the hellscape came a tall figure clad in jagged pitch black armor, which leaked and aura of death so potent it formed a fog.

Seeing Nox's arrival Nirin's worries where lifted, and a radiant smile formed.

"Couldn't you at least dress nicer?" Aria stated in disgust towards Nox

Completely ignoring Aria, Nox started to explain the proceedings to the crowd. "Hello mortals, in this bestowment ceremony there will be 4 steps, the first step will take place in this garden, where you will hunt down the object that determines your future, so pick wisely."

Jumping in at this point Aria added her own bit. "The profession you get is determined directly by what object you pick up and it's history."

"Good luck mortals."

"Good luck my children"

"Be quiet bitch"

"What, did, YOU, CALL ME"

And with such an argument they disappeared. Taking the two gods place a timer with of thirty minutes appeared next to an hourglass that was half done.

Many people scrambled to find good object in hope of a bright future. A half elf found a bow with intricate designs and voiced now had to defend it for the next thirty minutes. It wasn't 2 minutes after Nirin had started to form a plan that she heard the half elf's screams.

'I'll need to find something related to darkness, can't toss myself in with that miserable excuse for a god.' Nirin planned her course of action, as while she might be poor, She isn't dumb… just way to trusting of kind strangers.

Starting her search, Nirin tried to avoid others as much as possible and stick to the darkness.

With About fifteen minutes left on the clock Nirin found an egg about that reached he waist and was cover in rune imprinted scale patterns.

This seemed to be a good pick but Nirin hesitated.'it's newer… probably doesn't have much history' and decided to find something with more history.

Little did Nirin know, she had just passed a chance to gain one of the most ancient classes in existence, the dragon knight. A class many would kill to get, and more have died trying.

Coming across many items of new and old, and turn running out, Nirin was about to pick the next best item she had found so far, but before she could she found a giant bone that had black black smoke seeping from it.

Recognizing the smoke to be almost identical to Nox's Aura, just higher in thickness, Norin picked up the item with thirty seconds left.

After the timer ran out Nirin blink to find herself teleported to a room full of junk with a book upon a podium. Reading the book to herself in a low whisper Nirin fell deeper into shock.

"The bone of a dracolich. Siphoning the power from this bone will give the vessel, so me, the potential of a true necromancer"

"Holy crap this is good!"

Nirin knew she had made the right choice. Nothing other then a dragon egg could top her decision, in her opinion.

Her choice was so great because a necromancer was commonly referred to as the priests of Nox, the only odd bit was that priest of Nox was its own class.

'Well guess I should finish up here'

"Hey! Gods, someone, how do I leave here"

With no response Nirin swept her surrounding for instructions. After sweeping her surroundings several times for a way out, and even sifting through the pile of old decrepit books and swords, Nirin was finally transported out randomly.

Before she could even register her surroundings, Nox spoke once more. "Now onto the third step all of you will fight without your new powers, the last two standing will gain there chosen gods blessing"

While listening too Nox, the most beautiful of the two goddesses, Nirin counted about ten people left in total. And about half of them had the same idea as her, keeping low and hidden.

With no preparation Aria cut off Nox, and shouted "Let the blood flow! BEGIN!"

The vicious among them jumped the others, with a broad shouldered elf charging Nirin.

Having been in many street fights before Nirin rang towards the elf but specifically his right shoulder, trying to bait him into a shoulder charge.

With the elf taking the bait, they sped up and dropped their right should at the last second only to see the demi-human slide tackle and then the floor coming up to kiss his face.

Nirin, not one to give mercy, immediately got up, turned around, and bashed the elf's head into the ground repeatedly.

Looking up to see only five left she locked eye with a remaining Demi-human right before he was stabbed through the heart from behind with a shattered bone. And another being beaten to death with a now broken tree branch.

Knowing one of them had too die and that one of them had a bone knife, tree branch man took Nirin as his next target.

'Yet another charging brute' Nirin rolled her eyes planing to do the same thing again.

Branch man charged, and Nirin run at the left shoulder. It all played out the exact same, even the head bashing. Nirin stood hands shaking but with a calm look.

Aria who had been sitting opposite Nox at the edges of the garden finally spoke with the last two standing. "Now, you two. Who do wish to become your patron goddess. Me the wonderful and pretty god of light… or that horid clump of metal"

Nirin spoke instantaneously and with no hesitation. "Hey, Miss Nox, can I ask a question"

Nox Slightly nodded their helmet covered head while saying, "only if you shall be my champion… I feel a resonance with you".

Accepting internally Nirin continued. "Have you heard of a god named Tod or more specifically almighty Tod? My friend mentioned too them."

"Tod was a high god, one of twelve but after doing something unforgivable he went missing… presumably" Nox replied with minor shock at Nirin question, as her and Aria had blocked all info of other gods too this part of their domain.

After a bit of conversing the remaining human chose Aria and they were transported out of the ceremony grounds.
