Chapter - 30

9 Months later

Since that day in South America, things had changed a lot.

The news of the discovery of the Sixth Primarch caused a general increase of the morale of the troops.

The tech-priests had managed to study the devices of Rapture and to combine them with the other devices developed by the UNSC and the Vers Empire.

The Delta Legion was created and it was composed of a thousand Astartes so far. Eleanor provided the tech-priests with the syringe she always kept with her.

The Mechanicus with the usage of a device called Vita-chamber they recovered from Rapture were able to rebuild and modify the man.

This was how the Praetor of the Delta Legion was created, his name was Delta or like the citizens of Rapture called him 'Johnny Topside'

But the real revolution arrived after the recovery of the nanotech which finally allowed the production of new Astartes without too many problems. Each Primarch now had at least a chapter and of course, the numbers were increasing. Anastasia's Crimson Slayers also received the nanomachines in order to keep up with the Space Marines of the other Primarchs.

The Imperium was closer than ever to its return to Terra, only one last arsenal must be recovered and the Empress was already taking care of it.

Anastasia was about to get on board of a satellite type of structure called the bunker, Merlin had warned her that this facility has no humans but only androids who had fought for eleven thousand years against the honkai. The stormbird she was traveling on opened the cargo door letting Anastasia, her custodes escort, the space marines, and blue team get out with their equipment.

The group maneuvered themselves until they were able to get a hold on the structure in order to stay still in space, Anastasia hacked the entrance and opened what was called 'Flight Unit bay'. The squadron entered the facility and gravity quickly pulled them on the ground.

Master Chief gestured Blue Team to check all the dark corners of the room while the Space Marines simply moved forward but make no mistake they were in high alert. Anastasia was in front of the whole group, even though she wasn't wearing her Power Armor she was ready for anything.

She opened what seemed like an elevator "Check the radio" she said before getting inside the elevator which quickly closed itself.

The group remained in silence waiting for a signal from their leader...

"All clear" Anastasia said through the radio.

The Space Marines looked at the elevator and shook their heads "We're pinned here" one of them said seeing how impossible is for them to fit inside the small elevator.

"Roger that" Chief replied as he and blue team all took the elevator.

Blue team reunited with Anastasia they were welcomed with a weird sensation. There was only one very long corridor and everything was colored black and white.

The entire place had a certain eerie feeling that made everyone in there feel that this place wasn't meant for humans.

"BB" Anastasia called to the AI "Why weren't you installed here?"

"The YoRHa firewall had a massive backdoor that was a bit too dangerous for me to approach" BB replied

"Why didn't you...just closed it?"

"The Firewall is not as easy to crack as you think" BB replied as she sighed "The only thing that I did, is to create a virus to shut down all the YoRHa units inside the bunker in order to keep them from dying on the battlefield, then when the honkai threat returned to their home after gleefully annihilating their opponents, I started working on fixing the system, I closed the backdoor and removed the virus, but even with all the time and comfort I could get it took me many years to assume control of the YoRHa system" BB said

"Wait" Master Chief said as he stopped his tracks "Then you're in control of this place"

"Yes" BB replied as she chuckled a bit "I'm turning everything on right now"

Anastasia sighed internally 'I hate BB when she acts like this' she thought

"This is why I don't like Sentient Machines" The Emperor said as he appeared in Anastasia HUD

"Good Morning father" Anastasia said "If it is morning in your universe..."

The whole structure turned on, revealing a long bright white corridor and an insignia on the wall along with the words 'For the Glory of Mankind'.

The sound of doors sliding open caused the whole group to point their guns towards the direction of the noise.

A woman with long blonde hair, a white dress and wielding a riding crop came out of one of the doors on the sides of the corridor, she holding her head with her free hand as if she was having a headache. She didn't seem to notice the armored spartans or Anastasia until she slowly turned her gaze towards them.

Silence filled the air, as the woman's expression changed in very quick succession between expressions of shock and seriousness. She steadied herself as she assumed a more dignified posture.

"This is a military structure, put down your weapons or suffer the consequences" She said with a cold tone as the sounds of doors sliding open filled the corridors many times before several other female figures appeared, all wearing several different clothing but with the same black pattern, also most of them were blindfolded for some reason. One among these women placed herself on the blonde woman's side while holding a white katana in her hands.

She had short white hair, was wearing a black dress with a skirt and had some kind of small robot hovering behind her.

"Commander, who are these people?" someone said from behind the blonde woman.

He was the only man in the group of women, he was short making him look like a teenager at best, he also had white hair and was also blindfolded.

"We are surrounded" Frederic-104 said as he saw more women coming from behind them

"Stay calm, don't make sudden movements" Master Chief said

"I can shut them down again if you want" BB said through the comms

"Negative" Anastasia replied as she placed herself in front of Blue Team. "We are not here to fight" she said with a calm tone

"And yet, you entered here armed" the blonde woman replied "Tell me why shouldn't we kill you on the spot?"

"It wouldn't be a wise decision since you're outgunned and outnumbered" Anastasia replied gesturing the window.

The Blonde woman turned her gaze towards the emptiness of space and saw the Imperial Navy floating near the Bunker with their guns pointed towards them.

"COMMANDER!" An operator shouted as she came out of the command room "THIS IS TERRIBLE! WE ARE SURROUNDED BY-"

"I know 6O" The blonde woman replied

Anastasia remained silent as she allowed the woman in front of her to elaborate on the situation. "Who are you?" the YoRHa commander asked with a serious tone.

"My name is Anastasia, current Empress of the Imperium of Man, we are here to make an alliance with you" Anastasia replied as she gestured Chief and the others to lower their weapons

"You...are humans?!" the young man from before asked "I thought you were all ex-"

"Quiet 9S" The Blonde woman said raising her hand

Anastasia looked at the one called 9S and nodded "Yes, we are" she replied with a nod "At least, my men are"

"What does that mean?" the YoRHa commander asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"I don't want to give you lies" Anastasia said as her harms turned into claws "I'm...something akin to Bioweapon...it's hard to explain right now but with time everything will be revealed to you"

"A Bioweapon...against what?" the woman next to the YoRHa Commander asked

"Against the Honkai of course" Anastasia replied as whispers filled the Androids ranks "They are still here, and are still a threat"

Silence filled the area, tension started rising up as the YoRHa Commander and Anastasia stared at each other.

"Lower your weapons" The YoRHa commander ordered as slowly and reluctantly the other units lowered their weapons "The YoRHa was created with the objective of defending humanity...our task has not changed...there are still a lot of things that are unclear but as for now..." she said as she put her hand on her chest "Glory To Mankind!"

The Commander's actions caused all the other Androids to imitate her...
