1B-1: A new perspective

"Remember the time you took that ice cream challenge?!"

"Oh god, I got like 2 cavities. It hurt like hell, but it was so worth it."

"Worth it for what?! A plastic trophy?!"

"No, the taste of that vanilla ice cream has always stuck with me."

"That was so crazy though..."

Issac and Lucas always had these kinds of conversations about their past together. One day was about the school spelling bee that Lucas miserably, the other was when Issac tried pulling the fire alarm for the first time. They would laugh and laugh for hours, and then randomly Issac would disappear mid-conversation. Lucas didn't know why this happened, he didn't know Issac had a life to wake up, he didn't know that he was still alive.

He stood up and looked at the vast lands of this glass world.

"This is the land of dead souls, is it not?" This question lingered with him. Looking around, all he saw was his tree and the darker side of the world. There was nothing but chaos on that side, not answers, just murderers and lunatics. Nothing worth his time. But there was nothing but destroyed remains on the light side. What was the difference in the end? Maybe the dark side did hold some answers.

"It's not like he's coming back any time soon, I guess I can explore." So he set off into the darkness, not knowing what awaited him.
