*Chapter 08: Wrong Perception

Lunely's PoV

The whole room was crowded by stomps and shouts. The armchairs' metal foots cringed in an ear-splitting sound, as Ayumi and I exchanged unending debatable conversations together while Leiro, Meryl and Shiina tried to stop us.

"As if you can beat the one with the power of darkness, you insolent, weak little foe! You shall never conquer the heart and soul of my dearest brother!" Ayumi shouted as if she was fighting with a demon- and like duh! Me, a demon? Hmph. I am a cute, gorgeous woman, thank you very much! Watch your mouth you-

"Don't conquer me, I'm beating you up! Educate yourself to the truth, little miss weird woman with a weird cotton candy hair!! And one more thing, you really like Leiro, but the question, does he like you? " I rolled my eyes at her, as I crossed my arms and leaned at her like a gesture of insulting when-

"Everyone, that's enough!!"

Leiro suddenly shouted in front of us, closing his eyes tightly as well as his fists, for the reason that we suddenly fell silent. Seconds passed before I realized- we're a bit overreacting... And we're in a school so shouting and fighting is inappropriate.

Minutes passed ... Ayumi and I calmed down as Leiro just sighed out of disappointment. Oh my... To be honest, if I'll just keep quiet, then I'm sure I'll be the one to lose. I'm not the type of person who just keeps quiet and pretend nothing happened, right? And it's a good thing Ms. Lena's not here. I'm sure she'll be angry if she sees us fighting-

"Ouch! What was that for?!" Bigla kong sigaw as Leiro quickly hit Ayumi and my forehead. I limped a bit while Ayumi rubbed her forehead gently as Leiro scolded the two of us.

"What's the matter with you two eh? It's just a little bit of trouble! Is this really a fact that you need to fight? What's the problem and you're about to kill each other right in front of me? How shameless of you two!"

Leiro suddenly said to us, as I just lowered my head out of shamefulness. Well, even though my mind is a bit matured, I'm still twelve years old ... And everyone still thought that I'm not one.

"Ayumi... Are you, jealous of having Lunely slept with me last night?" Leiro suddenly turned his head towards Ayumi while crossing his arms. Minutes passed he just let out a chuckle and slowly pet Ayumi's head. Eh, that's unfair! Pet me too Lei!

"C'mon now, have you already forgotten? A few years ago, you also slept with me last summer camp."

Shiina and Meryl suddenly laughed as I was shocked- my whole body quickly froze, and it feels like I'm frozen on spot... Wait, A-Ayumi slept beside Leiro? S-She slept, I mean with skin-to-skin contact?

"Stop it!" Ayumi pushed Shiina away as she hid her face with her tablet. Hello, hello ... Does that just seem to affect you right away? Hmph. I'll just see if you won't be affected by what I do in the near future. I 'll gonna make your jealous like crazy! Fuhahaha!

"I-I wasn't do that on purpose!" Ayumi shouted as Leiro, Shiina and Meryl laughed more. "I was scared of being alone since it was my first time so..."

"So? You decided to sleep with Leiro, then?" Suddenly I told him as I crossed my arms once again. Seriously, that's a worst excuse ever created. He can sleep with Meryl or maybe with Shiina, but why with Leiro?

"Y-Yes, since... Leiro's the only person I trust..." Ayumi said to me as she gave me a smile. "He is my comfort and my protector. He always love me as his little sister like the way he treated Liana, and you actually know that it feels so good..."

Well, yeah. Somehow, Ayumi's right. The way Leiro loved me, I was feeling really protected, that even a mosquito won't touch me... Well, that's my Leiro for you.

"Rrriiinnnggg!!!"

"Alright. Class dismissed."

I stared at Leiro for a while when I noticed it was noon. The sun's not shining on the windowpanes anymore, but it rays stroked seemingly into the rooftops of every buildings. It's also sunny outside and you can hear the laughter and conversation outside Leiro's classroom since lunch time.

"Brother Lei? Is there a canteen here or what? I'll join you where you're going to eat now." I said gently- wait, is this me? Why do I seem to be sane now? Is this because I no longer see a threat or what?

"Sure thing Lunely. Actually, there's a cafeteria here, just a little walk maybe, and I always eat there with Meryl, Shiina and Ayumi." Leiro smiled at me when I suddenly pouted. Hayst ... I thought I'd be alone with crush. And damn that chuunibyou girl whose hair even beaten the cotton candy sold outside !!! So he's still with you even at lunch time Lei?!

"Oh, I see. So, shall we go there? I actually brought my lunch so I don't think I'll be able to order food there." I slowly pulled my lunch box from my shoulder bag and showed him some box of sushis and sashimis when suddenly Leiro's eyes shone.

"Wait a sec, our maids don't do this, do they? Where did you get it?" He suddenly asked me, as I saw him as if he was craving for sushis.

"Well, I made it myself. There's all the ingredients in the fridge so I've already made at least a little. And don't worry brother. I'll give it to you later." I giggled as if Leiro's eyes suddenly moved away from the sushis.

It's already twelve noontime when the two of us were already sitting on a six-chaired table inside the school's cafeteria. Their cafeteria is quite large with a white background, brown floor made of tiles, potted plants near the wall, the counter where students order foods and drinks here and seriously, their cafeteria is air-conditioned actually. It's really a private school.

Leiro ordered his food already before we could even sit here- a large beef steak with a medium spicy gravy, two bowls of rice, a softdrinks a bottle a mineral water. And me, just my lunch box full of sushis and sashimis, and Leiro's really sweet as he gave me a pineapple-flavored canned juice- eep, he probably knows my favorite beverage.

I was about to give him some sushis when Meryl, Shiina and the cotton candy girl, Ayumi- hmph, do you think we're okay girl? Bleh! Over my slim and beautiful body-

"I mean, what the heck?!" My mind suddenly shouted as Ayumi suddenly sat beside Leiro and quickly hugged his arm as I was getting pissed.

"Brother Lei ... I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I was out of my mind that I don't even know what I'm saying, so please forgive me big bro." Ayumi hugged Leiro's arm tighter as she showed her cute, cunning eyes as she pleaded for forgiveness. Dammit, if I just didn't have control over myself, I would have stumbled upon her earlier.

"Don't worry about it Ayumi. Well, what's done is done so we have nothing to do with that-"

"Um, Kuya Lei? I was just asking ..." I suddenly stopped him from speaking when I felt like I was about to burst out as I saw Ayumi hugging Leiro. "I'm not interfering but what's wrong with Ayumi and why is she so close to you?"

Everyone suddenly paused as I said those words- it seems like they all know why Ayumi is acting like Leiro. Ayumi, on the other hand, slowly let go of Leiro's arm while sitting in formal position. Leiro just smiled as she patted Ayumi on her head.

"Well, do you remember Liana?" Leiro suddenly asked. "She was Ayumi's closest friend, along with Yusarine. Back when Liana was here, Ayumi and Yusarine used to be my little sisters the way I treated Liana."

Eh? Little sisters? At her age? Well, not to mention that she's in eighth grade ... And just seeing Ayumi's reactions, I feel like she's not going to grab my crush, I guess. Although she may be too cuddly but it seems that what I have in mind is different.

"Since Ayumi is a solo child, I always give her love like I do to Liana. She always came to our house back then just to be with us. Fortunately, it's okay with her parents since they are co-workers of my parents. Well, to be honest, Ayumi was my cute and unique little sister. "

"Leiro is right, Lou." Meryl suddenly said to me. "Well, everyone thinks that Leiro's a lolicon, including us, actually. But, when we found out how cute Leiro is not only just on his little sister but also to other little girls he sees, we started to like him."

"Guys ... You don't need to praise me so much- it's embarrassing ..." Leiro suddenly joked at us, as the four of them started to laugh. Hey... It's enviable. I felt like they really were like this before.

"Wait, so what you said earlier to me means something else, eh Ayumi?" Although I'm not that rude to intrude their moments but I want everything to be clear to me first.

"What do you mean? I only fought you because I thought, you'll gonna take my brother away from me. Well, after the death of Liana, I'm the only he could rely on back then so I don't want anyone to hurt him anymore." She quickly said as if she was trying to say that she don't want Leiro to be separated from her.

Alas, so all this time I thought you would be a rival. I think I was wrong in making an impression on her. So she's not bad. I'm just overprotective of my crush. My... Now I feel bad for myself.

"I... I'm sorry!" I said as I bowed my head and clasped my two hands together. I closed my eyes tightly waiting for their reaction but... They just ended up laughing.

"I'm also sorry about what I've said Lou. I was out of control that I didn't know what I'm saying." I can see sparkles on Ayumi's eyes now. I feel like he wants to be friends with me. "Please, let's be friends from now on, shall we?"

"Sure! Just remember, Leiro's mine okay? No rivalry." I said jokingly, although I was a little serious when I said that.

"I'm not sure what you're trying to say but rest assured that I will not gonna take my brother away. I hope you'll do the same-"

"Okay guys, that's enough. Let's eat." Leiro said sarcastically to us, as all of us just ended up giggling.

Well, with this day, I came to realize- I don't have to be strict with any woman who approaches Leiro. It seems like he's really friendly, and even to his non-biological little sisters as well. Well, he obviously has ESCD because of her sister-dependent nature.
