....escaping Moga Village

'.....sh]t, sh]t,....SH[T!!' thought Chastain Grey as she is now hiding in the nest of a not-currently-present Rathian....it was perched above a waterfall that fed the deep ocean below.

She was bunkered down within the broken shell of a baby dragon-like monster, hoping to escape those chasing after her.....

She has found herself in many similar situations over the past few days, and it all started a couple of weeks ago...

....(Flashback).....

Chastain was standing with a bowgun, which was not hers, pointed in the sky....she just blew the head off the creator of the universe and stood in the dead center of what looked to have been a cruel and vicious confrontation...

The battle was between her now dead hunting squad, and the Moga Chief's son Tracha, who she now knew to be the man she.....well, she didn't know how she felt about him...

Chastain was panting heavily but knew what needed to be done..... she screamed up to the heavens, threatening the creator himself, as she didn't want to be spied on....but, what she heard after a few minutes of silence passed, was the crunching of leaves...

She turned to see the little troublemaker of the village, the kid who always hung out at the village exit...

"What is all of that indistinct yelling? You guys need----....." the boy froze, he came out from behind a tree and fixed his eyes on the bloody and mangled scene. He began to hyperventilate and without skipping a beat, he took a glance at Chastain and darted back to the village, no doubt to inform the chief of the things he saw...

Chastain sobered up from her melancholic thoughts when she saw the boy running and knew that she screwed up by yelling...he will inform the chief and the Chief will inform the guild that his son and other hunters were murdered by her, and then...'Oh God, the Hunter Guild's Elites will be coming after me...' she didn't even give it a second thought, she collected her things and ran in the opposite direction, she would have to escape quickly...

....

She ran and ran for days hoping that she covered her tracks enough for the elites from overseas to not be able to track her, but she was mistaken...

On the third day, she saw something that frightened her to the core...

It was in a dense forest with a clearing nearby when two shadows flew overhead...before she had time to react, the two silhouettes landed in the clearing...

They were terrifyingly fierce creatures that she knew little about, as they were not native to this area but she has seen pictures in books...

On the left was a large white and black colored winged creature with long saber-tooth teeth protruding from his vicious mouth...it was adorned in spikes all over and it had a cunning light in its glowing blue eyes.....it was the well-known Barioth.

It wore what could only be described as a saddle on which a man decked out in full Barioth armor, shouldering a snow-white glowing blade with cold wisps emanating from the sheath...

On the right stood another winged animal but this one was much sleeker and pitch black in color, it had blood-red eyes and bore a more feline appearance than his partner...it was the silent hunter, the Nargaucuga.

It also wore a saddle that was mounted by a hunter, he was decked out in his beast's hide as well....he was strapped with a massive bowgun that hummed with power.....the colored lines glowing on and off while the seconds passed.

After landing in the clearing, the two mounted beasts began sniffing around... Finally, after searching for a bit, the beasts froze and did what Chastain never expected, but caused fear to permeate her whole being...

They turned their unified gazes directly toward the area in which she was hiding under dense foliage...

After many days of running through thick forests, narrow caves, and dangerous monster dens, she thought her tail was finally lost.....but she was mistaken. They appeared again nearby in the sky and with nowhere else to run and no sleep, she chose to pull a dangerous move.....she ran directly towards a nearby Rathian and Rathalos nest hoping to find shelter under the wings of the strong...

It turned out to be a mistake, however, as the nest was abandoned recently and all that was left were dead eggs, in which she hid, hoping to mask her body and scent...

She heard the two behemoths land nearby her hiding place followed by the *sniffin* sounds she has come to fear.....the Nargacuga laid its eyes on the nest, and with a deep flash of red in its eyes triggering its heat-seeing vision, she was caught...

"Lady, come out of the nest right now....you have been charged with the murder of four fellow guild members as well as obstruction of justice....we are Elite Hunters from headquarters tasked with internal affairs, and we've come to arrest you...please cooperate and-"

Chastain steadied her breathing once the man began talking, coming to a quick decision.....she killed the moth#$f\/cking creator of the universe, she wasn't surrendering to these guys, not now not ever.....without letting the man finish, she busted out of the egg shell while darting towards the waterfall cliff...

She heard screaming from behind her and felt a piercing round hit the right side of her chest, but it was too late....she jumped off the nest and dove straight into the water while bleeding profusely.

Through the pain, she opened her eyes to look around and begin swimming but what greeted her caused water to immediately fill her lungs due to her screaming...

Arcs of lightning covered the blue beast currently giving her a death glare for waking it up from slumber....it was twice the size of those chasing her and she knew there was no way out of its domain alive.....it was the king of the sea, the Lagiacrus.

...

Just like that, the cat and mouse game ended with bloodied water and gore galore..... killed by the great beast of the sea.

This wasn't the true end, however, as Chastain opened her eyes panting still in the ocean, but within her home, Dome City.
