"Lord Sirzechs is concerned about the situation and has decided to send someone to monitor the school until Tiamat departs. I don't know who it will be or when they will arrive. It would be wise for you to avoid trouble during this time," Sona explained.

"Thanks for the heads up," Issei acknowledged as he rose from his seat.

"Before you leave, may I ask you a question?" Sona requested.

"Alright, shoot," he said, looking down at her.

Sona appeared somewhat puzzled as she asked, "Is there a specific reason you are so resistant to joining my peerage, other than your aversion to taking orders? Do you hold some inherent bias against devils?"

"What's the point? I'm half-dragon and half-human. What would I gain by aligning with your side or any side?" he countered.

"Power, influence, allies—these are just a few benefits. Eventually, someone will target you if you lack political backing. Without support, you'll be on your own," she responded sharply.

"I'll take my chances," Issei replied curtly, before making his way towards the exit.

Before opening the door, he glanced back at Sona and stated, "By the way...tell that Gremory girl to stay away from my house."

Sona's eyes widened in surprise, but before she could respond, Issei closed the door and left.

After his conversation with Sona, Issei reluctantly decided to return to class. The rest of the day passed uneventfully, with no one bothering him.

As the day came to an end, Issei felt a wave of relief wash over him as he stepped out of the school. He was growing tired of spending his days confined to classrooms.

'Today would be a perfect day to visit Red. I'm sure the big guy is wondering where I've been,' Issei thought to himself as he hopped on his motorcycle and set off.

With a sense of eagerness and excitement, he rode as fast as he could towards home. However, his progress was impeded by heavy traffic about two-thirds of the way there.

Annoyed, he growled and aggressively revved his motorcycle, urging the vehicles in front to move aside. "Move it!" he exclaimed in frustration.

Issei's attention shifted towards the sidewalk, where he noticed a crowd of people dressed in vibrant cosplays, all moving in the direction of the gridlocked traffic. His eye twitched in frustration. "Is there some kind of convention going on or something? What the hell is this?!"

Several seconds elapsed as his anger simmered. "I... HATE... TRAFFIC!"

Without the slightest concern for the potential repercussions, he impulsively revved up his bike and veered onto the sidewalk, bypassing the countless stationary cars. Gasps and screams filled the air as he sped past the pedestrians with relentless speed and aggression. Displaying masterful riding skills, Issei skillfully maneuvered through the crowd, effortlessly weaving between people.

Upon reaching the main intersection where the convention was taking place, he effortlessly popped a wheelie, lifting his bike's front tire off the ground, and revved the engine to its maximum, creating a deafening roar. Flames erupted from the exhaust, further intensifying the spectacle. His abrupt arrival startled almost everyone nearby as he pulled up triumphantly in front of the convention building, bringing his bike to a halt. Determined to discover the nature of the event, he dismounted his bike and stepped closer to the entrance.

Curiosity piqued, Issei's mind raced with questions. "Kuoh Anime Convention... huh? When did this town start hosting these events? And why is the traffic so horrendous?" Gradually, his frustration began to subside.

A voice filled with excitement interrupted his thoughts, prompting Issei to turn towards its source. Standing before him was a girl with black pigtails and dark violet eyes. Her energy was contagious, as if she were experiencing the most incredible day of her life.

"Are you heading to the convention?" the girl asked, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. Issei couldn't help but feel a hint of intrigue.

"If I had known about it, I might have given you a ride," she continued cheerfully. "I saw you zoom past on the sidewalk. That was so cool!"

Issei's glare intensified as he noticed the girl's magical girl cosplay. In an attempt to intimidate her, he revved his bike, hoping she would retreat. To his surprise, she remained unfazed.

"I'm not here for the convention. I'm just trying to get home, but this ridiculous traffic is making it impossible," he grumbled, annoyance seeping into his tone.

Issei contemplated his options silently. "Not unless I want to abandon my bike here and risk being seen carrying it," he added mentally, dismissing the idea of escaping the traffic by unconventional means.

"Well, that's a bummer... But since you're stuck here, why not just go to the convention?" the girl suggested, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

Issei shot her a glare. "I don't have a ticket, and I sure as hell won't be wasting my time waiting in line," he retorted, his annoyance evident.

Undeterred by his response, the girl's excitement seemed to intensify. "Well, I'm here alone. My sister didn't want to come with me, so I happen to have an extra ticket. Want to join me? You seem like a lot of fun," she offered, holding up a VIP ticket to the convention.

Issei stared at her, momentarily captivated by her beauty despite her penchant for magical girl fashion. There was something oddly familiar about her. However, her overpowering perfume was an assault on his senses, leaving him less than thrilled.

"I kind of have somewhere to be..." he hesitated, his eyes scanning the traffic for any sign of movement.

A growing crowd watched their interaction, making Issei increasingly uncomfortable. He despised being the center of attention.

"Pleaaassse!" she pleaded, her voice filled with genuine enthusiasm.

'Ughhh... It doesn't seem like the traffic is going to clear up until all these damn cosplayers get to the convention anyway. And that's a VIP ticket, it looks like. Aw, screw it... I guess the Dimensional Gap can wait a few more hours,' Issei contemplated begrudgingly.

With a heavy sigh, Issei dismounted his motorcycle and reluctantly agreed, "Fine, I'll hang out for a little bit... but only until the traffic clears."
