Ravel nodded, a determined glint in her eyes. "If you find it difficult to speak, let me do the talking. Your presence alone will convey the sincerity of our intentions. However, try to think of something to say. It's important."

Riser sought confirmation, "So, you didn't disclose our true destination to Mother and Father?"

Ravel shook her head. "Of course not! Do you honestly believe Mom would allow you near that man after what happened?"

Riser let out a resigned sigh. "Very well, let's get this over with."

Ravel tried to lighten the mood. "Come on, Riser. Once it's done, we can do something enjoyable, all right?"

Issei's House

The next morning, Issei woke up to an unusual absence of his usual alarm clock, causing him to grow concerned about oversleeping. Confusion washed over him as he glanced at the clock, realizing it was nearly 11 A.M.

"What the hell? Did I oversleep? Ah, whatever... I could use a break from school today anyway. At least we have that irritating parent-teacher conference tonight. But hey, Red will be there, so that should be fun!" Issei thought, trying to shrug off his initial worry.

As he rested his head back on the pillow, he became aware that he wasn't alone in his bed. Irina and Xenovia lay on either side of him, entangled in his bedsheets. Irina wore a nightgown, and Xenovia was dressed in her underwear and a t-shirt.

"So, they spent the night here with me? I guess I can't blame them. After the whole kidnapping incident, they probably feel safer being close to me. Still... not a bad way to wake up, with two beautiful girls by my side. I'm glad they're both okay," Issei thought, his gaze shifting between the sleeping girls.

Choosing not to disturb them, Issei carefully untangled himself from their embrace and got out of bed. Letting out a yawn, he grabbed his phone and checked it a moment later, curious about any notifications.

Letting out a sigh of exasperation, Issei glanced at his phone and noticed an alarming number of unread messages—twenty-eight to be precise. "Seriously?!" he exclaimed, realizing he had quite a bit of catching up to do. He quickly changed into some casual clothes and made his way to the living room, settling down on the couch to go through the messages one by one.

Six of the messages were from his parents, informing him that their return flight had been delayed due to inclement weather and that they would be home in two days. Issei promptly sent them an acknowledgement response, relieved to know they were safe, albeit delayed. However, a nagging concern gnawed at him, prompting him to consider better ways of ensuring his parents' safety.

"I really need to come up with a better solution for keeping Mom and Dad protected. It's not like I can train them," Issei pondered aloud, his brows furrowing in deep thought.

Ddraig's voice resonated in his mind, offering a suggestion. "Perhaps you should consider moving out of your parents' house and getting a place of your own. Find somewhere more secluded, away from the prying eyes of devils and angels that frequent your current residence. That way, your parents won't be constantly noticed or bothered."

Taking a moment to reflect, Issei considered the idea. "Hmm... That's actually a good point. But my parents have been worried about me lately, especially with my absence in the past few months. I shouldn't move too far away from them. I know Mom would want to visit. I just need to find a place that's far enough to mitigate any unwanted attention. And I definitely don't want the neighbors gossiping about the unusual visitors we've had, especially Kalawarner and her... well, you know."

Ddraig interjected with curiosity, "Do you have any other ideas to ensure your parents' safety?"

Issei nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "I think I'll create some defensive ward spells around their house and set up a warning beacon that can alert me if they ever need help. And with my new place being a reasonable distance away, my parents can avoid the supernatural chaos that seems to follow me everywhere. But now, I need to figure out what kind of house to get. It should be spacious enough to accommodate training sessions with the girls, but they might just want to move in if there are plenty of bedrooms. I guess that's fine, although it does mean I purchased Irina's old house for nothing."

Ddraig offered gruff wisdom, "I'm sure you'll find a use for it, even if it's not what you initially intended."

A spark of inspiration ignited within Issei. "Actually... I can repurpose it as a tracking station of sorts. I'll set up a system that alerts my phone whenever my parents come to visit. It could also serve as a convenient portal location for quick access. I'm already forming plans in my head."

With determination in his eyes, Issei began to envision a future where his parents would be safe and where he could juggle his responsibilities as a devil while ensuring their well-being.

Issei pushed aside his previous thoughts and dove into the remaining twenty-two text messages, eager to catch up on the conversations that had taken place while he slept.

The first message, timestamped at 4:37 A.M., caught his attention. "My heart is beating so fast that I can't even sleep right now. I can't believe you accepted my friendship, but I'm so happy that you did! This is Ingvild btw, but I'm sure you figured that out already."

Issei smiled at Ingvild's enthusiasm, realizing that she had finally mustered the courage to text him. "She's really excited about this," he mused to himself.

The subsequent message, sent just two minutes later, revealed Ingvild's excitement in connecting with him. "I guess you're probably asleep right now, but I'm so excited to finally text you! Do you know how surreal it's been having your email for this long and never messaging you until tonight? Part of me always wondered how you would react to it."
