Chapter 1

Unlike me Marcus was a big fan of anime, gachas, light or visual novels and many of those things. He would often complain about what a cancer the isekai were to the industry and how they were all exactly the same.

Once upon his recommendation and insistence I read an Isekai novel, I abandoned it as soon as I saw how ridiculous it was for a child to turn 3 years old and say 'From today I will do a Spartan exercise to strengthen my body, yes I will'. 

Simply illogical.

Now I had been in this world for 7 years and I barely started to walk properly. Did you know that in this world demon children take MUCH longer to grow up than human children? 

I mean, I started to take my first steps when I was 10 months old, here I could take them when I was 5 years old!

Can you imagine being confined to the arms of your parents without being able to move or even go to the bathroom on your own...? Frustrating, that's what I had to deal with.

But it wasn't all bad, my parents were very loving, and I got more and more used to calling them mom and dad. They were literally the few words I could speak now.

"Mommy..." I appreciated that my mother was able to understand all my ways of saying 'mama' which meant different things. Maternal instinct or something.

"Leonardo be careful!" And the one who yelled at me worriedly when I started walking towards the castle stairs, yes I live in a fucking castle wuuu!!!, was my older brother.

Valentino Renzo Barbatos, the eldest son and the next heir of the Barbatos family.

"Tino..." Or as my infant mouth could say it, "Tino".

He was a man who looked about 20 years old, though he was really 60 by now, his hair was tousled and he seemed to have inherited my mother's blond hair.

I inherited my father's dark red hair.

"Kiyohime told me you were getting into mischief, you should be more careful little brother" He was a cheerful man who always enjoyed playing with me, although he lacked my mother's ability to understand me perfectly.

"Guu..." I looked at the floor and ducked my head to pretend I was sorry, this always got me out of the scolding.

I mean, I understand that you have to be careful with an infant but it bores me to just lie down!!!! I want to walk, I want to run, I want to explore this new world!

"Come with me, lunch is almost ready, mother and father are probably already waiting for us" He approached me and took me in his arms to my displeasure "No pouting, or I won't tell Kiyo to make fireworks!"

Noooooooooo

I might sound exaggerated but in these years one of the few things I liked the most was when Kiyohime, my older brother's queen, used her fire magic to entertain me.

"Anchin-sama shouldn't be saying that, I'll always help to entertain little Leonardo" And speaking of her there she was.

"Kiiiiiiii" As I called her, she was a woman who looked like she was 16 years old, she was wearing a beautiful light blue kimono, like her hair. The most striking thing about her was the two horns on her head.

She was a little colder with me but also treated me quite well, I find it strange that she is so formal with an infant but it is only a minor complaint.

And that's how my days go. I get up, feed, play with whoever is available, 'explore the castle', feed again, play again, snack and finally go to sleep.

[2 years, 98 days, 8 hours and 12 minutes left to unlock the system].

At least when the system comes back I'll have something else to have fun with.

"Is there anything I can do!?" A year and a half ago the system finally came back, and since then it has been an absolute nuisance.

[This system asks the host not to treat me like that] Then stop behaving like that!!!

The most important thing in these years besides the return of the system were without a doubt 2 things

1.- I could finally talk like a normal child, although I still had trouble with certain words that I preferred to avoid.

2.- I visited the human world

According to what Tino told me when we went there 5 months ago, it was a tradition of the Barbatos house to visit Italy often.

You see it turns out that the son of the original Barbatos demon was saved in the past by a woman who lived in the Roman Empire, he fell in love with her and lived in the human world with her until he died.

This explained the reason why our name, gastronomy, paintings, and even our way of acting were assimilated to the Italian culture, this family was obsessed with that culture.

Of course it was practically impossible to stay long because of the enormous activity of the church in the country, I mean the Vatican is there, it is obvious that we can not stay long in Italy.

I also discovered that the world was in what seemed to be the second world war, beginning or end I did not know but without a doubt the fascist symbols in the country gave away the situation.

The system helped me a little and told me that in human time I must be 6 years old now, that's something.

In a few years or so I would finally be allowed to leave the confines of this castle and visit the demon world, I would also be given my own devil pieces!

Although I don't quite know how the logic of this world works, I won't complain!

Another thing that is also coming up is that next month I will finally start learning family magic!

I was excited and scared about it, look my family may be super loving and all that but in this world purity of blood and power is everything, if I was unable to use my family magic I would surely get the Sairaorg treatment and be exiled.

When father told me about the family magic my brother gave me confidence that I would surely be strong enough for this family.

"Leonardo again are you talking to yourself?" And there was Tino "Lady Leviathan is about to arrive, I hope you are ready!"

But all that was behind me, today's concern and the reason why I was yelling at my system was what my brother said. 

"I'm almost ready Tino!" I asked the system if I could see the data or anything about leviathan and it told me it was impossible.

"Hurry up! We'll wait for you downstairs!" 

If there was one thing I INSISTED on growing up, it was to change by myself, no maids, no mom, no Kiyohime, just me, thank you!

I look good system?

[Looks as good as a boy should look] Good! It's time to go downstairs. 

I go down to the dining room, which for some reason connected to the front door, and I see that my whole family is wearing formal attire.

That included me, I also had a black tuxedo and white shirt underneath, my hair was combed properly and my dad gave me a bow tie to wear.

Even at my graduation in the afterlife I didn't dress like that...

"Leonardo! You're almost late!" After the trip to Italy my father started to act a lot stricter with me, he was still affectionate but sometimes he treated me like I was one of his subordinates or something.

"S-sorry father, I had problems with my hair" I also started to treat him a little bit like he was my boss at work.

"Honey..." My mother pinched his arm and looked at him with a smile....threatening? "You look so cute Leo!"And he reached over and pinched my cheeks.

This is another thing I missed about the Isekai genre, or anime in general. Treating your stepmother, mother from another 'world' or worse the 100% biological mother as a romantic interest.

I mean, my mother now was without a doubt the most beautiful woman I knew and maybe ever will know, she also had the right proportions in the right places, but she was my mother.

When I found out the truth any interest in being with her romantically ended right then and there. It makes me sick just thinking about my mom in a sexual way. 

"Stop it mom..." I actually resented her treating me that way! Don't embarrass me please!!!"

"Kuku..." Don't make fun of me Tino!

"Stop it! My father rescued me from the embarrassment of being spoiled like this and we all became serious at once.

The doors squeak a little when they open and 4 people enter through the door. My memories of the past world were getting fuzzier and fuzzier but I still remembered things from Highschool DxD.

"As serious as ever, no no Ovidio?" a deep voice is the first to speak and I see Lord Sitri, he was tall and stocky, he also emanated an aura of royalty around him that was impossible to ignore.

"It is good to see you too, Talanto" My father approached them and shook Lord Sitri's hand "It is also good to see you Lady Yuna" I took Lady Sitri's hand and kissed the back of it with elegance.

"Heh, you haven't changed a bit Barbatos" She replied. 

"Lady Leviathan! It is a great honor for my family to have you here, I hope you enjoy your stay here. 

Serafall Leviathan. Unlike Yuna's mature appearance and the elegant dress her mother wore, Serafall looked much younger, she was also much smaller. She wore a colorful dress and her hair was tied in pigtails.

I never gave it much thought but it made sense that she wasn't wearing her magical girl outfit, not yet at least, if humans were in WWII it meant that the magical girl genre hadn't been invented yet.

'Hmmm, could I use that to my advantage? Maybe, I'll think about it later'

'Oh come on Niccolo! You've known me since I was a little girl, you don't need to treat me like this" Of course her carefree personality was just like I remember it.

And after I said that I saw the last person.

She was small, hiding behind Serafall's leg shyly, too far from the serious and intelligent girl we met in the main story.

But was she "Oho? Looks like you caught someone's attention So-tan hehe." Serafall noticed, and confirmed my suspicions.

Her hair with a bob cut, her dress was blue with white flowers and she was wearing a tiara as well.

The future president of the student council of the Kuoh Academy and current heiress of the Sitri house.

Sona Sitri
