It was also where it was all coming together, as they were assisted by an insider from I presume from the Lucifuge. I looked into it to find out that there was only Grayfia left, the recent person who died was Euclid who they assume died at the war. But... I think this guy is still alive and is working with the Khaos Brigade.

This does sound like, something that comes right from an anime or movie, where the long-dead sibling suddenly makes a surprise appearance at a major event. Like he'll reveal and say "I am your brother, Grayfia".
