Chapter 7 SHIELD Compensation

Alvin squeezed his chin, grinned at Coulson, and said, "I think $1 million is a reasonable number."

Coulson covered his heart firmly, as if he had been hit hard.

He said with difficulty: "You are joking, Mr. Alvin, SHIELD will never pay $1 million for this matter. Absolutely impossible, in fact I was prepared to pay out of my own pocket. But Mr. Alvin, $1 million is scary. That's my salary for ten years."

Alvin ignored Coulson's sympathetic appearance and said coldly: "You mean SHIELD's face is not worth a million dollars? Is that true? Maybe you should call and ask for advice, I'm not interested in your salary. Or we have to go through legal channels to resolve this problem."

Foggy jumped for joy and shouted loudly: "Alvin, sue them, sue them!" No wonder he was so excited, this was the biggest business their law firm had ever faced since opening.

Coulson glared at Natasha helplessly, and turned around the corner to make a call. Obviously, that call earned him a lot of scolding. After hanging up the phone, Coulson returned to the bar anxiously and said embarrassedly: "$500,000, no more, I have to go back and write more than 15 reports for this. If you don't agree, we will see you in court." After that, he picked up a wine glass at the bar and drank the beer in it, looking like a broken jar.

Alvin glanced at Matt's gently shaking fingers, knowing that Coulson was lying.

After thinking for a moment, he said, "Agent Coulson, this price is too far from what I expected." He glanced at Foggy.

Foggy jumped up consciously and shouted: "Alvin leave it to me, this is a lawsuit that must be won, and I can talk about compensation of more than $3 million."

"That's impossible. SHIELD doesn't have that much extra funding. You'll just delay the lawsuit indefinitely." Coulson cried frantically.

"Mr. Alvin, I can apologize another time, please forgive me."

"It doesn't matter to me if this lawsuit drags on, Agent Coulson." Alvin said noncommittal, "However, it is non-negotiable. I can agree to $500,000 in compensation, but SHIELD must agree to several conditions."

When Coulson heard the word conditions, he felt very bad, and he felt like he was going to board a pirate ship.

But now I can only bite the bullet and say: "Please tell me, I may not be able to agree."

Alvin snapped his fingers and said, "Firstly, the police station here is outdated and needs new equipment. It can be seen that Michael is still using weapons used from ten years ago. They don't have high requirements, as long as you help them. Can you sponsor a number of vehicles, weapons and equipment given away for free? Don't worry, they will write to the mayor to praise you."

Michael and Scott didn't expect Alvin's request, the first one aimed at them.

This made the two policemen happy and touched. The city government almost forgot about its sub-bureau. Except for the allocation of funds and annual salaries to the police, other equipment changes, promotions and salary increases, everything is without it.

The dilapidated police station didn't even have a proper gate.

Alvin's first condition was for them, how can they not be moved.

Coulson glanced at Alvin suspiciously. He thought he would face some excessive conditions, but the results were beyond his expectations. Coulson nodded happily and agreed. SHIELD will eliminate a large amount of equipment every year, and promises to provide some conditions, as a level 7 SHIELD agent, this right still exists.

Seeing him immediately agree, Alvin said with a smile: "It seems that we can easily reach an agreement. Second, the kindergarten being built at the corner of our street requires a certain amount of security monitoring equipment. I believe this is not a problem for SHIELD."

Coulson breathed a sigh of relief and looked around. Everyone in the restaurant looked at Alvin with respect. Coulson straightened his collar and said seriously: "You are a real man, I hope to get to know you more. Phil Coulson, level 7 agent of SHIELD, Nice to meet you, Mr. Alvin Ye."

After he reached out and shook hands with Alvin, the feeling of being squeezed was greatly relieved.

Alvin said with a smile, "It seems you agree?"

"Yes, compared to other conditions, this is not a condition." Coulson said firmly.

"The third and most important one." Alvin looked at Coulson seriously.

"Please tell!" Coulson looked at him with concern.

Alvin looked at Coulson, patted Natasha's hand, and said, "I hope you can keep her away from me and my restaurant in the future, okay?"

Coulson was stunned for a moment, embarrassed and not knowing what kind of expression to show. Just now he had a good impression of him, and the other party gave him a heavy blow.

I thought both sides could reach a peaceful ending, but in the end it backfired.

With a sigh, Coulson said helplessly: "I can't promise anything, I can only promise that we won't trouble you for no reason."

Alvin nodded and said, "Enough, Foggy complete the deal, and Agent Coulson, hand over the $500,000 receipt." Alvin greets Foggy.

"I hope this doesn't happen again, Agent Coulson, Agent Natasha." Alvin, nodded to the two agents, and finally said hello, motioning them to leave quickly.

Foggy and Coulson exchange phone calls to discuss compensation payments.

Jessica happily sent the two agents out.

When Jessica ushered them out, she imitated Alvin's tone and said, "I hope this won't happen again in the future."

Seeing the two SHIELD agents leave the restaurant in embarrassment, the diners in the restaurant gave each other high fives and cheered. They are all residents of Hell's Kitchen and have never been respected by government officials.

But Alvin managed to achieve victory, which made them excited as if the winner was themselves.

Alvin smiled and explained to Jessica, "Everyone drink beer!" The cheers grew louder as soon as he finished speaking.

Alvin, holding a glass of beer in front of Matt, flicked his index finger on the glass and made a "ding~" sound, "Thank you! Matt, you were a big help today."

Matt looked up, smiled, and raised his glass, "You deserve it! Alvin, you are making two neighborhoods better, and as a resident of Hell's Kitchen, I have to support you. For victory!"

Alvin smiled and clinked glasses with him, and said, "For victory!" After drinking a large glass of beer, Alvin looked at Matt worriedly, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Maybe you should take a break, Matt, you are not an iron man, jumping around Hell's Kitchen every night is not a good thing. And not something a normal person should do."

Matt put down his drinking glass, an unhealthy blush appeared on his white face, and said with a smile, "Then you should let your pet's activities be expanded a little, which can reduce some of my workload."
