Lethal vs Dante

Once again, without any warning Lethal had a gun in her hand. She pulled the trigger but nothing came out. All the bullets disappeared out of gun with no explanation how. "Hahahaha, that must truly suck" Isaac said provoking her even more. While Isaac was making fun of the assassin, Fei stood beside Dante and asked "Want to battle me next? I want to push myself and find greater heights".

Before the Dragon could reply, Lethal raised her hand and demanded that she should fight next. "Fei, there is no need for you to risk your life on that potion anymore. Since my uncle is dead, I no longer have any need for it. I'll win the competition and hand you the potion as a prize"  she told him sincerely. Her cheeks were bright red as touched Fei's left cheek.

Fei backed away from her puzzled. They do not know each other enough for her to suggesting these things. He politely asked " Why though? If you win, do what you want with the potion". Lethal removed her hand from his cheek and told the Dragon that she's ready. Leaving Fei unanswered, she and Dante left the group. "Does that woman know that Fei is 17?" Isaac asked everyone.

On top of the waterfall, Lethal and Dante stood facing each other. Neither looked particularly thrilled to get started. Lethal feels more confident when her opponent makes the first move while Dante was wondering what gifts she should use. King Almon gave her orders on which ones but she decided to ignore them. She will use her judgment and decide. They stood their for almost a minute, two birds began to surround Lethal chirping. For some reason they were fond of her Tom hat. Lethal desperately held onto to it and snapped both bird's neck. In an instant, she showed her cruel side without thinking.

"Sorry, revive them after this round is over" Lethal told Dante. She turned around to see Fei's expression from afar. As expected he looked displeased with Lethal's behaviour. Killing two birds just because they bugged her was not a good look. "Oh well, can't be helped. They are already dead" Lethal sighed in depression.

Dante flew high in the air and shouted at her opponent. "FEI WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NEXT BUT YOU'RE HERE. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T WASTE MY TIME!"

As if those words were her cue, the assassin equipped dual guns. She stretched her arms behind her and aimed the gun to the ground. Concentrated blue flames started bursting out of the gun sending Lethal at high speeds. The flames pushed her up in the air and she swiftly went out of sight. She moved so fast that the only thing Dante could glance was the blue flames bursting out of the gun. "Hmm, so her gift is Equip? I wonder how much she has perfected it" Dante said lost in thought. Her last fight went in failure because she used gifts she was not advanced with. "I rarely get to fight anybody who's any good. The majority in this world does not possess a gift yet which truly sucks. How am I going to maximize all of my powers if I never found the drive to use them". Lethal may be out of sight but Dante could still sniff out her location. She has many ways of finding a target. Either with her incredible sense of smell or life detection skill. Lethal was two kilometres away to the northeast.

"If she's so far away then it just mean her sniper is ready. Probably" Dante said uncertain. She flew to where she smelled her opponent. The scent got stronger and stronger until she finally arrived above the location where Lethal should be hiding. When she looked down on the floor, no one was to be seen. No one was there but Dante could clearly smell her target in the area. With that knowledge that the woman's gift is Equip. It is highly possible that Lethal is right below Dante but just masking her presence.

SNOOOOOP!!!

While Dante was looking below her, she got sniped from behind. A bullet pierced through the back of Dante's neck. By instinct, anyone would have turned around to see who shot them or where they were shot from. Dante decided to continue looking below while regenerating the wound she received. After staring at the ground for Dante noticed the trick that was pulled. "Nice one lady. Shoot me again" she taunted.

SNOOOOOOOP!!!

This time, the bullet that was shot from behind stopped seconds before hitting Dante. It stood there midair until suddenly the bullet changed course. The bullet charged below where Dante was and injured someone. "AAAH" Lethal covered her mouth to mask her screams. She was hit by her own bullet. Despite being invisible to the naked eye and getting shot from behind, Dante never had any doubts about Lethal's location.

The assassin finally showed herself by removing the black cloak she covered herself in. The cloak was responsible for her invisibility just now. She could easily make more if she likes, one that could even mask her scent and her life energy. But what would be the fun in that? The winner of the Dragon Hunt is not the person who beats Dante, but who she likes more at the end. It all depends on how much fun you give her through combat. Lethal understood this and wanted to give Dante the time of her life. "If I win, then Fei won't have anything to worry about. Who ever he is trying to save will be saved".

"Dante! You probably guessed this already but my gift is very versatile. Honestly, my gift is like having hundred in one. To make things fair, use everything because that's certainly what I'm going to do" Lethal told the Dragon strongly. Dante was going to reply to her but changed her mind after reading Lethal's memories. The memories of a woman who was trained to take lives. "I've met people like her before. The biggest hypocrites to society" Dante said out loud. Lethal happened to overhear her words. "Equip!" Lethal's sniper rifle changed into a bow and arrow. She only had one arrow to fight with. Dante put up a forcefield to protect herself from what's to come. "What will the bow do? Follow me wherever I go? That certainly is possible. It might break through my shield. That should be unlikely but I should plan in advance" she thought to herself. Lethal shot her only arrow at Dante. Once it reached its peak up in the air, that one arrow multiplied into hundreds. Arrows filled the sky like raindrops. Dante's shield shattered, it couldn't withstand so many attacks hitting simultaneously. The Dragon was not hurt however. She teleported behind Lethal and fired a ball of flames from her mouth.

Lethal reacted fast enough to equip a shield. The shield created a barrier around Lethal protecting her from the fire ball. The attack got redirected into the river and to everyone's surprise. All the water evaporated in one go. Lethal summons another arrow to use with her bow. She fired it directly at Dante. Hundreds of arrows covered the skies once again, all were aiming at the massive creature in the sky. "Hahahahaha, You say I should use everything I have but I won't need to if you're going to repeat the same move" Dante said cockily. She suspects that Lethal had a good reason why Lethal would be shooting more arrows. She only said that to give Lethal a false sense of comfort.

The arrows were so close to touching Dante, Lethal held her breath for her for a second while she waited for her opponent's response to the arrows. "Dodge or block. Either way you're screwed" Lethal smiles at the thought.

SWOOOO!!

SWOOOO!!

All the arrows passed right through Dante. She turned intangible the moment she saw the arrows multiplying and stayed airborne smirking.

Once all the arrows hit the ground, they disappeared. "What else do you have?" Dante asked curiously. So far she has only seen Lethal equipping long range weapons. With that in mind, Dante chose to close the distance between them. She swooped down ready to shoot something from her mouth. It was too early to tell what it was. Lethal put the bow on her back the equipped her dual guns. She aimed them at the floor and flew to the air. Now that the two were in the skies, Dante decided to increase her speed a bit. Flying around is unfair for those who can't so she moves slowly to make it fair. Three fireballs were sent Lethal's way as she flew around. The woman countered by shooting each of them with her arrows. The flames extinguished the moment her arrows contacted them. Dante continued to pursue her, getting close enough to slap Lethal with her tail. Her purple tail gained a blue glow. One can only assume that her glowing tail is meant for severely injuring foes.

SLAM!!

Lethal tried her best to dodge Dante's swing but it wasn't quick enough. Dante's glowing tail extended it's size making it hard for Lethal to escape the hit. Lethal stayed in the air, having one hand rubbing her head while the other was holding her gun. She briefly considered touching the ground and give up after getting one good hit. "A human body is not built to take slaps like hers" Lethal complained. A large red carpet appeared out of thin air levitating. Lethal jumped on the carpet and equipped another item. "Sizimuchi! Mangetsuha! Haedes!" Three very different weapons fell down on the red carpet. A sword, a scythe and a spear.

"Those are the first weapons you called by names. That must mean they are your most prized possession and most powerful" Dante assumes.

Lethal nodded yes in reply. "You have my gift also. What are the names of your prized possessions?" Lethal asked hoping for a good answer.

"Hmm, I don't have any. I can simply materialize any object I want so why should I have a prized possession? You summon weapons from a different time space while I can do it with my mind. It's different from what you do. It's easy to create something out of my imagination" Dante told the assassin. Lethal puffed her cheeks in disappointment. "Wow, incredibly unfair" Lethal sighed. She picked up her scythe and introduced it to Dante.

"If possible, I would love to fight long range. It just feels safer that way. But for some reason, whenever I take up this scythe. I feel like I can take on the world". Lethal's carpet flew above Dante. Lethal jumped off the carpet and stabbed the Dragon on her back. The scythe went deep in her flesh but it was immediately pushed back by a sudden force of wind. She got blown away but the red carpet swiftly caught her.

"Mangetsuha, I named this scythe from my favourite TV show. Surely you've heard of it. A tiny rabbit with a sword spamming an attack that splits everything in its way" said Lethal taking a stance. Both her arms were up in the air gripping Mangetsuha. "I don't watch TV shows" Dante told her. In response to that, Lethal swung her scythe downward so fast, everything in front of her weapon splits in two. The sky, the mountains, the river and Dante herself were sliced straight down the middle. There was no time to react, it just happened.

"Watch some television. It can boost that imagination of yours".

Normally, the fight would have ended right then and there. No human can survive an attack that instantly sliced the opponent and everything else in two. However, Dante was a special case. Her two halves floated and reattached each other right away. It was as if she was never cut in two. Lethal swung her scythe three more times. This time Dante managed to evade her splitting attack by teleporting behind her. Half the island got separated from where Dante and Lethal were fighting thanks to Mangetsuha.

Dante charged at Lethal closing the distance easily. With a swing of her tail, purple light balls appeared and attacked Lethal's carpet. The light Balls mades holes on the carpet causing Lethal to lose her mode of transport. While Lethal fell from to the ground, Dante fired two light beams at the woman, The busted carpet transformed into silver armour and covered Lethal's body in the nick of time. The light beams were deflected before serious injury was dealt. Lethal landed safely on the ground then equipped another flying carpet but this time it was more sturdy. "Mangetsuha!" As she shouted the scythe's name, it changed its appearance to a black and red double edge scythe.

"What difference does that make? Can't I teleport behind her to avoid it" Dante thought to herself. To ensure her safety, the Dragon decided to turn on her intangibilityt in case she cannot avoid it. Lethal swung her scythe and Dante teleported behind her immediately. Once she did, she realized that Lethal was still swinging. She was swinging vertically at first but t she's suddenly going horizontal. She swung all around her, spinning twice as she did it.

RUMBLING! RUMBLING!

The island was split in three large pieces after Lethal was finished. The trees, the waterfall and the whole land scape was carved in half. "IDIOT! You must not care about your fellow participants" Dante said harshly.

"Fei is fast enough to dodge my slashes. I'm not too worried" Lethal replied. She talked as if she does not care who dies besides Fei. Dante stared at Lethal's scythe for exactly three seconds.

SNAP!

And like that, her weapon snapped in two and disappeared. "No more scythe!" Dante shouts angrily. Lethal picked up her sword Suzimichi and smirked. She swung her sword at nothing particular. The broken scythe appeared once again still in tact.

"This sword rewinds events. Basically anything that happens, I can change it to a certain extent"  Lethal said boastfully. Dante's mood changes after hearing that. "I see, that's why you're not worried about the participants. You already have the means to reject a reality in which they have died". A purple aura surrounded Dante, gravity became denser and the sky was redder than before. "Please! Show me the extent of your undoing" Dante said getting excited. This was the moment where she truly felt like she could have fun with Lethal

SWING!!

Lethal's scythe passed right through Dante. The Dragon slapped Lethal with her claws  but she was repelled by the armour. The carpet brought Lethal face to face with her adversary where she swung her scythe once again. Dante teleported far away from her slashed and shoot a yellow beam. It travelled so fast, Lethal's carpet had no hope to dodge. As in to counter the beam, Lethal kicked it away thanks to her armour. "Dual guns, sniper rifle, , bow and hundreds of arrows, two carpets, an armour, A sword, scythe and a spear. In total she has equipped nine items. If she equips one more then she won't survive".  

ZAAAAAP!!

Similar to Alisa, Lethal got trapped in a cage made of lightning. What did she do to get out? Simple, she picked up Suzimichi and and slashed the cage. The lightning disappeared immediately on contact. Lethal swung her scythe continuously. She knew Dante could evade them so what is she plotting? Dante went intangible then charged Lethal with spikes covering her body. She was confident that the armour won't stop her advance this time around. As she predicted, Lethal got pierced through the gut by her spikes. Dante glared at Suzimichi for a brief second and snapped it in two. The sword disappeared along with it's frightening powers to reject events.

SPLAAAAASSH!

The spikes injected Lethal with Dante's blood causing her body to explode. Her arms, legs and even head were blown away. Blood splattered all over Dante's face but she didn't mind. With all the people Lethal killed in her life,she could hardly feel sorry for her.  "What! Why did she do that!?" Fei shouted from a far. "Well damn, I'm starting to like her" Isaac said impressed. "She thirst for a bloody fight. She got carried away that's all" Alisa quickly defended her. "Thirst for a bloody fight is not normal Alisa. Don't make her sound like a demon. Although she kinda is" Cj said while getting his hair comb. For the entire duration of the final round, Miya has been giving Cj a massage, a hug or even holding his hands. Others began to wonder if a relationship sprung between them. Aoi patted Fei on his head and told him " Focus on yourself boy. After her, I expect you to pull off a better performance. Save your sis, ya hear me" she said squeezing his ears.

"Why is Aoi hurting him? Do they know each other?" a voice asks curiously. It was none other than, Lethal appearing out of nowhere. Dante turned around unsurprised by the fact that Lethal is still alive. "Yeah, of course I killed a fake. You equipped a clone identical to you in everyway. You should be dead now after equipping so many items" Dante said confidently.

Lethal equipped her Suzimichi and placed it next to her spear on the carpet. " That limitation has been cast aside years ago" Lethal said as she touched her tom hat. She flew closer to Dante with no intention to harm. She whispered in the Dragon's ear. "This hat gives me an unlimited lifespan. It I take it off, it's instant death. Could you help me out?".

Dante covered lethal in a yellow sphere and told her "Stay in there for an hour or so. Our fight is over". Lethal tried every means to escape the sphere she was suddenly trapped in. Her weapons were ineffective to her prison. Before too long she gave up and realized that her body was slowly fading away.

"Do not worry. You asked for my help so I am giving it to you" Dante stated. If Lethal can live without her tam hat that would make her a legit threat to Dante. It means she won't ever have to worry about dying when equipping an item. Helping lethal now was like a future investment to her.

King Almon was not pleased with this fight. Dante used more than three gifts and she is even helping Lethal to get stronger. It will be significantly harder for him to capture Lethal now. Dante does not care for King Almon's plan. If he succeeds on getting eight X's gifts then good for her. She gets to have a rival to face against, if he fails she still have Lethal, Isaac and Alisa to take on in the future. Dante restored the island to the way it was with a single scream

ROOOOOAAAAAARRR!

All the island pieces went back together along with the river, trees and mountains. Lethal was left in the yellow sphere under a tree.

"Alright I'm next" Fei said rearing to go. Just when Fei was heading towards Dante. Something crashed in front of their cage.

BOOOOOOOOM!

It startled everyone, Alisa downright screamed at the sight while Joey fell on his knees. A large black box crashed right before them making a crater on the ground. King Almon recognized this action. He was well aware of the person capable of having packages fall from the sky. "Professor Jupiter? But he should be dead" he said surprised. Cj overheard his words and replied " Aw man, how long have you known the professor was dead?"

Cj jumped out of the cage and landed on top of the black box that crashed. He stomp on it to display the sturdiness of the box. "Nothing can break this. I dare one of you to try" he said confidently. Fei asks him "Are you responsible for this thing? How did you get it here?". Cj ignored the question and looked over at Aoi Quin, the person he stole from before the second round began. Aoi was not happy to see Cj boasting. He could tell that she was trying her best not to pick a fight. "Well, time to see what's in here" he said touching the top. The black box he just boasted about withered away into dust flying in the air. Inside the box was a black and blue colour backpack along with gloves and shoes. There was also a small suitcase. The bag was as big as an adult male. Had two wires with needles at the end of it. The backpack seems to also have buttons on the side along with a booster below. At closer inspection, the backpack does not look like it can be open. There was no zip or small compartments to be seen. "Are you going to fight with that?" asked The King.

"Of course, Dante wants to have a thrill so I'm giving it to her" Cj said as he strapped the backpack on his back. He wore shades to cover his eyes then pressed one of the buttons on the side and his entire outfit changed as well. To everyone, it looked like he was transforming. Cj now wore a black vest with a green serpent on it with black jeans with the same serpent. A headset covered his ears without Cj having to do anything. He also wore shades with white stripes.

"Alright, I'm ready" Cj said with a thumbs up.

"Go get her. Don't disappoint me" Miya said excited to see him in action.

"What about me? I was supposed to be next" Fei complained.

Everyone ignored Fei's complaint and watched Cj throwing the suitcase towards Miya. Her father was curious to what was inside so he stood next to her while she opened it. To his surprise, it was just a simple laptop. "What are going to do with that?"

"We won't be using it right now. I'm just setting it up for when the fight gets spicy" Miya answers.
