Fei and Dante

Feeling victorious, Isaac headed to his King and happily told him " I did as told. I doubt she will see humans the same again".

"Good work. For the longest while I wanted Dante to experience defeat against a human. This is the first Dragon Hunt where she actually lost a fight" the king stated. Dante was not in the mood for anymore battles. She flew away from the others to have time by herself. When Fei saw Dante fleeing he asked "What now? Is she gonna come back?".

Isaac answered him by saying "No. I shattered her pride as a Dragon. A superior being lost to a human. She'll be sulking for months at least".

POW!

POW! Lethal pulled the trigger with no hesitation. No one knew a gun was already in her head so her sudden burst surprised everyone. The two bullets that were shot at Isaac were sliced in two by purple threads. Although they were sliced, the bullets still charged at Isaac and pierced his right shoulder and stomach. His threads did not stop the bullets whatsoever.

"Aaaaaah! Damn it!" Isaac screamed from the pain. On top of the man's screaming, she told him "Those bullets are poisonous. Fortunately for me, there isn't an antidote out there that can save you. You'll die within a day if you're very lucky". His eyes widened in reaction to hearing her words. He slowly felt his body accelerating. His heart, blood flow, his brain and digestive system all started to move abnormally fast. Fast enough to put his life in danger. With just pieces of bullets entering him, his career seems to be looking dim. Goes without saying, Isaac grabbed Lethal's collar and begged her to create an antidote.

"I rather heal the devil than save your life" Lethal said harshly. With Dante flying away, the final round seemed to be in a halt. She was not in the mood to fight anybody. Terry and Joey were relieved they won't have to confront Dante soon while Cj clearly had on irritated look on his face. His face was furious and dripping with sweat. Miya had to wipe his face for him while he was deep in thought. Alisa left the group and tried looking for Dante to cheer her up. While watching Alisa left the group a thought crossed Fei's mind. "I should hang with Alisa right now. She probably sensed where Dante is going and with me by her side l, she'll reach where she wants to go way faster".

"Plus it doesn't hurt to be around her. Her damn dad died yesterday and top it all off. I promised Cj that I would protect her when the final round is over" Fei reminded himself.

Alisa realized she was being followed by Fei. In response to that, she picked up the pace in an attempt to gain distance from him. Her efforts were futile however. She could not escape Fei's line of sight even on his bad days. Fei shouted "Alisa! You know where Dante is right!?"

Alisa nodded no in reply and continued running. Fei did not fall for that lie so he stood in front of the girl and lifted her off her feet.

"Let go"

She wanted to have a one on one talk with Dante about the last fight. Fei would only be a third wheel in her eyes. "You're heading towards Dante right? If so I can help you arrive at your destination a lot faster" Fei suggested to Alisa.

"Let me go"

That's all she really cared about in the moment. Being in Fei's arms made her surprisingly uncomfortable. She took one look in the boy's eyes and sensed nothing but pure good in him. "If he's so pure, why do I feel wary of him. Could it be he's pure good and pure evil as well" she wondered to herself. Her gift has grown considerably since she arrived on the island. Now, she can sense others intentions and true self are just by looking into their eyes. She has yet to prove how accurate her power is though. She knows that Fei is a good person judging from his previous actions and his eyes. "Can I really trust you?" she asked out loud. When Fei heard the question he almost broke down in tears. He suddenly dropped Alisa on the ground. A soft and soothing voice replied to her question. Alisa had to double check to see who was talking. Fei's voice rarely had this much emotion behind it.

"You need at least one person in which you can trust. I can be that person if you want me to"

With those words, Alisa was persuaded to bring Fei along with her. She hopped on his back while giving Fei directions on where to go. The two caught up with Dante in just one minute thanks to Fei's speed. Dante was not sulking nor did she look angry in the slightest. She stared at the clouds. Her expression when she saw Alisa and Fei were dull. It's like they weren't even there. They received no acknowledgement. In attempt to cheer Dante up, Alisa told her one of the oldest quotes in the book.

"You win Some. You lose Some. Please don't feel bad over one lost"

Dante gave no reaction to what she said and who could blame her. Fei was close to laughing at Alisa for what she said. He knew the girl was not the best at initiating conversations but this was just sad. "Start off by greeting her and ask if she's ok. Getting straight to the point is boring ya know" Fei thought to himself. Alisa continued on to tell Dante. "There is no need to be upset about your lost to Isaac. We all know you could have beaten him if you weren't restricted by the rules" said Alisa.

Dante continued to stare up at the sky while laying on her back. Fei told Alisa "The defeat itself is not what bothered her. It's the way how she was beaten. She used three gifts, Isaac used one but yet still Isaac still won. Dante was way too overconfident and looked down on humans. She only thought of us as entertainers, not a threat. The reason she lostis kinda obvious too".

"Obvious to you. Enlighten me" the girl replied curiously. "Dante possess every gift out there. She is so versatile it is insane when you really think about it. Out of those hundreds of abilities if not thousands, when will she ever have to use most of them. With such a wide range of gifts to use, I would find it quite hard to use them all and because she hasn't, Dante's use of her gift is not as great as ours who focus on one ability" said Fei.

"Not as great?"

"Yep, Isaac's has been using his one gift for years. Honing his skills while improving his threads. When has Dante ever stop to practice with any of her powers" Fei stated. Dante stared at the boy extremely pissed. She tried biting his head off but Fei luckily managed to back away from her. "Am I wrong Dante?" Fei asked.

"You're right.The way how I lost is infuriating. I never thought that rainbow threads could have done what Isaac did. Killing me over and over. It made me feel inferior because my threads does not have that destructive capability" Dante sighed. She finally let loose to say something around Fei and Alisa. Rainbow threads were shot out of Dante's claws and they tore multiple trees in pieces. Her threads were powerful but the speed of the threads were no where close to Isaac's. That might be the main difference between their threads. Fei walked on the Dragon's stomach and started rubbing her all over the place. "You should relax, think of that defeat as a wake up call"

"Truth is, your overconfidence was not a good personality trait at all. Hahahaha not that I should talk. It is indeed possible to lose to a human. Just as it is possible to befriend one, love one or even kill one. Isaac wants his fight to shatter your pride but I know you'll be ok. He severely underestimated you" Fei told the Dragon. Dante's cheeks turned bright red as she stared at the boy standing on her. Just a moment ago, she was filled with regret and hatred for Isaac. She briefly thought about never fighting again. Fei changed her line of thought without much trouble. The day has finally come where she has lost to an human. "Isaac is a beast just like me. I want to fight him again. This time I'll bring out more from my gifts. Access their true potential"

Her eyes sparkled when she went on her feet. She licked Fei's face and told him to introduce himself. "The name's Fei Fong. 17 this year and my gift is super speed" the boy introduced. The name Fong rung a bell to Dante. She immediately saw the resemblance between Fei and his father Harriot. It was almost embarrassing for not noticing the similarities sooner.

"Your gift is super speed eh. Fortunately that is a gift I use a lot so I maximize it's full power. What's your fastest speed?"

Fei quickly answered "It varies. Depending on how much I accelerate my body I can be from Mach speed to FTL. Being able to create after images and such but that's when I charge up for a long time. So far, I haven't been given the chance to reach those level of speed".

Dante nodded in disappointment when hearing the boy's response. She stabbed Fei in his chest so fast he could not have dodged in time. Suddenly, a long lecture about Fei's gift began to unfold. "Super speed is very useful, in many situations your speed can give you an advantage. You gradually gain more speed the more you move. As long as you don't stop, you'll gradually get faster and faster. Your limit is limitless and because of the lack of boundary. There is one ability hidden within it"

"Are you talking about time skip?" Fei asks.

"Yeah time, surely you realized it. Whenever you are overloaded from charging up, whenever you run everything around you stops moving or should I say slow down to the extreme. Time basically stops. There is a point beyond that where you can leap into the future. That's time skip " said the Dragon.

"Sweet! I have a feeling I was capable of that. Sucks that I've never done it before. I only have my gift for little over a year ya know" Fei sighed.

"I can tell by looking at you. You'll be able to do it whenever you want someday. Maybe without accelerating too." smiled Dante. She licked Fei's face and turned her attention to Alisa who was just watching the whole time. Alisa planned on cheering up her new friend Dante but she messed up. Not only that, Fei cheered her up rather quickly and even received news about his own gift. The ability to slow down, stop or skip time.

"I'm already broken as it is. I don't need to resort to those things in this competition" Fei said casually.

"You still have confidence like that after what Helius did to you previous round" Alisa said impressively. They looked Alisa with a surprised look on their faces. They forgot that Alisa was with them. It was funny to see Alisa failing to cheer her new friend up but Fei did it easily. He even started to hold a conversation about his own gift. "Dad always told me that mastering good communication was key to socializing. Rats!" she said disappointedly. Dante invited the two teens on her back then flew to where King Almon and the others were waiting. When she arrived, King Almon immediately asked "So what did you learn?"

"Hahahaha, I'm not going to underestimate you humans anymore. Their seems to be some exceptional ones out there. Keep bringing them here. They'll be a stepping stone to gain more knowledge and strength on my powers" she replied. Her implication told everyone that she is not a master with all of her powers. That may be advantageous in order to beat her. Isaac glared at the smiling Dragon. He went out of his way to humiliate Dante. The least he wanted to see was her grief for the entire day. Fei and Alisa jumped off her back.

Coughs! Coughs! Coughs!

Isaac started coughing uncontrollably. The poison inside him was only getting worse. Dante saw Isaac's condition so she decided to help. With just her spit, touching his body. Isaac bursted with energy. The pain he felt in his body suddenly disappeared without a trace. Dante inhaled deeply and all the bullet pieces were sucked out of Isaac's body.

After confirming he was okay, Isaac asks the Dragon. "Why save me? I just humiliated you" . Dante answered with a serious look in her face. "You did what I thought was impossible. Why on earth would I want you to die. I want us to fight again in the distant future". That was not the answer Isaac wanted to hear. Lethal was especially pissed with Dante's answer. He tried her best to hide it by turning her face from the others but her bloodlust could be felt by everyone. Isaac gave Dante a thumbs up and thanked her for saving his life. "Because of you. I have a second chance to kill a certain bitch"
