Still in tremendous pain from the wolf bite, and with the threat of the tainted heart looming over him, Gran made his way towards the Blood River. He knew that this was the place where the essence of life was said to flow, and he desperately hoped to find the ingredients he needed to make the cure.

Upon arriving at the Blood River, Gran took a moment to rest and looked around for any signs of the life giving drops. But the Blood River felt unnaturally still and quiet, and there was no indication of the life he was looking for.

Gran noticed that there was no sign of life around the Blood River. The plants were dry and lifeless, and there was no sound or movement of any kind. As the reality of the situation started to sink in, Gran's heart sank with it.

He knew that he needed those two precious drops of life to make the cure, but it didn't seem like he would find it here. The tainted heart was starting to take its toll on Gran's body, and he knew he was running out of time.

*Please don't die. Find a way. You can do this.*

Hoping against all odds that the water contained some of the life he was looking for, Gran scooped up some of the bloody water of the river and put it into his bottle.

Despite his doubts, Gran took comfort in the fact that he had something, no matter how small, that could lead him on his search for the cure. He knew it wasn't much, but it was all he had at this point. Still, he held onto a glimmer of hope that this would be enough.

The effects of the tainted heart were beginning to take their toll on Gran. His wounds were not healing properly and the pain was getting worse each day.

As he walked through the forested maze, he felt disoriented and confused. The twists and turns of the maze only added to the feeling of uneasiness that clouded his mind.

As Gran searched for a way out, he realized that he didn't know where he was going and that the maze had seemingly no end. His heart sank. *There's no way out of this. No escape from my fate.*

As Gran struggled to keep going, he thought of Dpa. He hoped that maybe Dpa could save him and take the tainted heart away, but as he kept walking, he realized that his time was running out. He didn't want to give up, but he felt tired, weak, and hopeless.

However, as he was about to call it quits, something caught his eye. It was a small clearing up ahead, surrounded by tall and thick trees which blocked out the sky and sunlight. With some renewed hope, Gran made his way towards the clearing.

As Gran got close to the clearing, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. Maybe this could be a way out.

He cautiously entered the clearing and took in the stunning view as sunlight warmed his face and the birdsong filled his ears. Despite his exhaustion and pain, he felt his spirits lift as he took in the beauty of the place.

Suddenly, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was a flash of movement, but he couldn't make out exactly what it was. His curiosity piqued, he decided to investigate.
