BRIEFINGS

The day had finally arrived for the expedition to take place. The week had come to an end and the students were all asked to meet on the training ground outside the school. They were told to stay in their groups and they would be assigned an examiner so just to wait for a while. The training ground was a very huge open field that could support all the students of the school with plenty of space left. While a lot of the students were still getting ready and some were not in school even, the overseer of the school Mr. Zack made a call to someone.

It took 3 hours for everyone to be ready and when John's group made it to the training ground they could see multiple ships that were as big as the classrooms the students learned in parked one one side of the training ground. The school had a total of 10 classroom including the special domain class and every other classes apart from it had 60 students per class. Every team had their own designated ship. This was a very important expedition to the military because it allowed them to explore a planet that they don't have the numbers to explore. The military needed everything to be perfect and a lot of money was put into every piece of equipment. They were not playing games. The students didn't know why the military was spending so much on the expedition and came to the conclusion that the military cared about them but they couldn't be further from the truth.

All the groups were being called one by one and if your group name was mentioned you would be led to your designated ship and in the ship you would meet your examiner. Finally John's team had been called and they were led to a ship that was as big as the classroom they studied in. On the ship they were surprised to see that their examiner was none other than professor Winsel. Although the group was very happy to have him as their examiner. Professor Winsel started of by going into detail about how everything worked while the ship took off. "Listen up everyone because I will not be repeating myself. First thing you need to know about the expedition is that every group is going to be split up and dropped of on different parts of the planet. Every group will be at least 1500 miles away from each other". He said. John then raised his hand to ask a question. "How would help arrive if we are so far apart and something dangerous happened?" He asked. "Well, that's why you have a shield generator with a healthy supply of energy, a very powerful examiner and a destress signal. My job incase you didn't understand is to protect you with my life if I have to in order for you guys to survive so you shouldn't worry too much. Also the planet has been marked as a safe planet so there is nothing to worry about." He replied. In reality however they didn't know whether the planet was safe or not hence the immense preparation. "The next thing to note is that this ship will be your home for the week. It has been equipped with a reconstructor which will allow the ship to transform into an outpost and the shield generator has been fitted in a way that it will remain active until I retransform the outpost into a ship to return to Earth." John lifted his hand again to ask another question. "Sir, if the shield is attacked will it shut down earlier or still stay active for the week." He asked. "Good question and no. The shield generator will use energy to stay active so the more it is attacked the more energy it uses to stay active." He replied. "The next thing you need to know is that unless your life is in any danger I would not intervine to help with any situation. So that means you could have your arms and legs torn of and as long as you wouldn't die I won't help." This time John didn't have a question to ask. "The final thing is that everyone will have a small device attached to their outfit that will scan everything within a one mile radius and inform the owner of anything dangerous or unusual." John lifted his hand again. "Sir will you be coming with us when we go out exploring and will we need to stay together when exploring?" He asked. "I will be staying in the outpost while you guys explore and as for your second question you can choose to split up or stay together it's up to you guys." Mia raised her hand to ask a question. "Sir, if you stay in the outpost how will you know if we are in trouble?" She asked. "All information from the scanner will be sent to the mainframe computer so I can see what you see and if you are in life threatening danger I will be notified so I can come and help. If there are no more questions we are here." He said.

The trip had only taken a few minutes and the team had arrived on the planet. The ship's autopilot had a specific location it was supposed to land at so the team just had to wait a few more minutes. From the window the group could see the planet and it was spectacular. The ground was covered in a sheet of pure white is and the trees were unique to say the least. The bark was standard brown but the leaves were pure white and resembled the ground. The ship would occasionally pass over frozen lakes and rivers, a few monsters and a whole lot of interesting things. The group continued to marvel at the scene until the ship landed. As soon as they were given the permission John opened the ship's door and took his first step on another planet. It was soft and the atmosphere was very welcoming. He could feel like something unexpected would happen on this trip. His whole being was telling him so. And he welcomed the feeling. He was going to have fun on this planet.
