You don't deserve my little sister

By the time we reach our school, I thought my little sister will stop but she is still complaining to me. It is because our cousin, Yukio suddenly enters her room without knocking first. Plus, she did not give him permission to enter her room.

"He has no tact at all! How could he enter a girl's room with a straight face? Did he forget I'm a girl?"

"Now, now. Calm down. He is probably not used to a girl's place. That's why he acts like casual."

"Why did you side with him? I'm your little sister!"

"I know. Let's forgive him just this once, hm? I will tell him to knock first before entering your room later. Come on, don't be mad. You will get wrinkles on this beautiful face."

"If I get wrinkles you don't think I'm beautiful anymore?"

"You know that's not what I mean. Come now, let's get to your class."

I watch her pouts and walks ahead of me. So cute! Even when she's angry, she's still pretty. But I don't want her reputation to drop just because of trivial things and that is why I calm her down before rumours about her spread.

"Hey, senior. Good morning, Aimi."

I feel someone grabbing my shoulder. I was too distracted watching my little sister that I fail to notice someone was standing behind me.

"Good morning, Akihiko-kun!"

That's my little sister. Whenever someone greets her, she will greet back at them. Her courtesy is what makes everyone admire her. No wonder she got so many admirers. I think I'm forgetting something because she is staring at me. Right... I forgot.

"Morning."

With no feelings, I said in a low voice. What I forgot was to greet back because my little sister thinks it's rude not to greet someone back. Oh. Now she's smiling at me.

"Did you sleep well last night? Yesterday was fun, wasn't it? We played a lot of games. I kept losing to you though. Oh, wait... did you dream of me?"

Akihiko winks at my little sister. Anyone can see he is trying to flirt with my little sister. She thinks of it as a joke and just laughs.

"I sleep well. What about you, Akihiko-kun?"

"I slept like a log. I almost overslept. By the way, did you finish the homework teacher gave yesterday? She said she will collect the book today."

"Oh no! I forgot to finish it! What should I do?"

"It's okay, you can still finish it. I'm on duty today. I will give you some time to finish it. But finish it before the lunch break, okay?"

I should have asked her yesterday about her homework. Now she's panicking. Just watching from how her eyes move, I can tell she wants to run to her class and finish it.

"Hurry and go. The first period will start soon or else you wouldn't make it."

As soon as I said that, she hurried to her class and waved at me goodbye. Akihiko bows at me and runs after her.

In a blink of an eye, it's finally time for an afternoon break. I wonder if my little sister manages to finish her homework in time or not. I don't want to bother her so I will just hang out at my usual spot. The roof.

The breeze feels nice up here. Our school have an open roof so anyone can come up here to enjoy their lunch or watch other people below. As for me, I like doing both.

Though it's a nice place, not many students come here at lunch. That's what I like about it. No one will bother me eating my lunch. I can eat in quiet.

The noise from below is probably some students playing soccer and I was right. It's lunch but they are still practising. Are they not eating their lunch? You will not get energy if you don't eat. I wish they heard that but I'm only talking to myself.

If I remember it right. The soccer tournament is in a few months. So they still got more time to practice. But practising this early? They are so hardworking on improving their skills.

"What are you smiling at?"

I didn't notice I was smiling until I hear someone is talking. It break the silence I was having. Someone else is here too? But I don't see anyone though.

"Senior, up here."

I look up following the voice, the sun is so bright behind him so I tried to move away to see who he is. I sigh once I get a better view of his face. My peacefulness is gone thanks to this Akihiko guy.

"Eh, don't tell me. Is senior peeping on someone below? Is that why you were smiling earlier? Who is it? Is it someone you like?"

Does he think I'm him? Don't lump me with your kind. I'm not you. Maybe I shouldn't bother dealing with someone like him. Yeah, let's just eat and ignore him.

"Hey, hey, senior. Don't ignore me. Did I say something wrong? If so then I'm sorry. I'm only joking with you. Hey, that looks delicious. Did Aimi cook that for you? Can I have a bite on it?"

"..."

"Uh... Then, how about I treat you after school? You like cakes right? I overheard your conversation with the girls from my class when you came over. They were so excited about inviting you over to the cake shop. I can buy you one if you like. So, forgive me?"

"Seriously? As if I like that sweet food!"

"Ah, you finally talking to me."

Tch.

"So senior did not like cakes? Did I hear it wrong at that time?"

"Listen here, you brat. I know what you were thinking. If you think just being kind to me can get my approval to let you be with my little sister. You are dead wrong. Don't ever try to get close to Aimi."

"Why?! Why can't I?!"

Great. His true colour is showing. He usually shows a bright personality and always smiling. But the current face he is showing to me is dark. He also got slint eyes when he's glaring. He clenches his teeth and his fist.

"Don't get in my way. I don't need your approval to get Aimi. Don't bother me and try to destroy our relationship."

"Relationship? As if. Do you think she thinks of you the same way you did?"

I scoff. Unbelievable. Does he think my little sister is easy? Is he looking down on her? Talking to him is wasting my time. That's it, I'm done here. I should go and eat somewhere else. Hm? What the... When did he come down?

"Where are you going? We are not done here!"

I turn sideways, glaring at him. How dare he stop me from going? This guy... I pull my arm away by force. He lets go instantly because he didn't grab onto me too hard.

"Why my sister? There are other girls out there. You can choose them instead. Just not my sister. You don't deserve her."

The wind blew around us and silence fell upon us. We only stood still on the roof without saying anything. I wait for him to answer but he isn't looking at me at all. He's been looking down. Is he thinking about how to answer my question? Is he unable to counter me because he is speechless?

I walk away and leave the roof. Before closing the door, I look back. He is still looking down at his feet. I sigh and leave him.
