I'm only at the start but that's how infuriating reading this is. The author does not know how to balance "You are OP but bad things will happen". You have to let time for the good things to take effect before the next bad thing happens. What the heck was the point of giving the MC points just to take it away so soon? The whole being late thing was so ridiculous I dropped it there and then. And the way the bad things are written..getting aggroed thanks to his friend is not a good way to do it. The worst part is this seems like it's gonna be a consistent problem! I seriously don't know why people recommend this but I would like to be enlightened. Cause at this point, only a masochist would continue reading.
don't bother starting this book because this author is the same as other author , no more chapter updates anymore from few days and leaving the plot hanging at the most suspenseful part. Book and story is nice but no point if you can't complete the story. You will just get frustrated and angry everyday waiting for new chapter but it won't be released. Earlier it was 2 chapters per day but now that it gotten popular and got to most suspenseful part the author has probably become greedy.
This book was so good for the first 300 chapters. The world building was amazing and the characters were well developed but then he hit level 6. I will be honest, the mc just stops getting stronger after chapter 300. His progression is painfully slow and each arc he reaches the same conclusion, ”I need to be stronger” then proceeds to engage in another drawn out arc where he reaches the same conclusion. While it’ cool to see the world progress and learn new things, it puts it into perspective how much longer we will have to wait until the mc can get to it. Unfortunately, reading this book right now is hard. You watch the main characters get bullied by the sovereigns for 1000 chapters who in the grand scale of things are quite weak. While I love to see the world progress, it is only enjoyable for me to see the mc progress with it. I would not have an issue with the slow progression of the mc had he not progressed very fast for thr first 300:chapters. It really felt like we were standing still for 500 chapters.
571 Chapters in. Honestly one of the best novels I've ever read. The story itself is wonderful, the power system is cool and diverse while the power scaling is accurate. This is probably the first novel that had me captivated literally every chapter and has made me excited to read more. Most novels that are longer then 300 chapters kinda fall into that flow where every few chapters you get a good one and the rest are filler or kinda boring. I've been reading it non-stop for almost 3 days and not a single have i thought to put it down...Until now to write this review... I'm not very great at writing reviews, but if I had to say, this is probably one of the best novels on this site.
Writing Style - 9/10 Character - 8/10 World Background - 6/10 Emotional Attachment - 500/10[Loved it] Story Development - 500/10 Author is really humble when praising himself . TBH, this story is much much more better than some of the TOP Ranking novels in [<365 days] Power Rankings. [You can infer from this how great this novel is. You definitely won't regret reading this. If you regret then you're Sh*t.]
Honestly, even though the rating I gave this book seems quite low I still enjoyed reading up to chapter 80, but I stopped reading immediately when I knew this story was going nowhere. The writing quality in this webnovel is not good at all, every single sentence has at least 1 grammatical error. And while these errors are not big enough to make it hard to understand what's happening, they are just annoying and kind of give me the message that the author doesn't care enough to fix them. The story development is fine, the story is a bit slow paced as 1 week in the novel is about 8-10 chapters, but the action coupled with the fast progression Varian has makes the novel seem fast paced which is perfect for me. Character design is fine, each character has their own personality and their own unique goals. The world background for this book is okay at best. Many times while I was reading I was confused at what was happening, who the story was talking about in main action events, and where everything took place. Sometimes it feels as though the author skips some details that can help the whole story be easier to understand. Now don't get me wrong, the novel was enjoyable for however many hours I was reading it for. But I simply saw the novel was going nowhere and I gave up reading it. For example the Academy Arc is 120 chapters long. That is just an insanely absurd amount of chapters dedicated to an academy arc. And I have multiple suggestions for the author, instead of dragging out the academy arc, you could've cut it down to 15-20 chapters. Set up Varian to be out in a mission, and while he is gone the academy gets thrashed by the abyssals and the high ranking traitor. This would open up so many more opportunities for the novel to go into, for example it could help eliminate the rinse and repeat style this novel uses. It could also work wonders in the world background and the story development, as through this event of Varian's whole life turning around because of the academy being attacked and ultimately destroyed, Varian could be thrown in an entirely different situation or environment. For example, maybe after the attack on the academy Varian would seek hiding in another planet and have to adapt in that environment. Or Varian could get captured into one of the Abysses and is forced to survive in the enemy territory. There are so many different options that could make this story way more enjoyable then just dragging out the academy arc which simply just gets boring after awhile. I know this review was very long, but thank you nonetheless for reading the entire thing.
