Chapter 6 - The Chapati

As the sun's first rays illuminated the kitchen windows, Samira was busy preparing coffee and chapati while playing a podcast about ex-Muslims on the home Amazon Echo. Just as Erick walked into the living room, wearing a tight, sweaty vest that indicated he'd been working out, the podcast spoke, "And the seventh way to handle a keyboard Jihadist is to just ignore them."

Samira quickly paused it when she noticed Erick.

Erick, slightly intrigued, asked, "Good morning. What were you listening to?"

Samira hesitated for a moment before responding, "Oh, it's nothing, just a podcast."

Not wanting to pry, Erick decided to change the subject. "Okay. Where's my brother?"

Samira explained, "He leaves early for school to avoid the morning traffic."

Erick agreed, "Ah, I see. Traffic can be quite tedious around here." Samira smiled at him.

She then offered, "You're welcome." Erick accepted a cup of coffee and inquired about the food Samira was preparing.

Samira raised an eyebrow playfully. "Don't tell me you've never eaten chapati before?"

Erick, putting on a mockingly gentlemanly British accent, replied, "No, all I know is some smashed potato and a cup of tea, please."

Samira couldn't help but giggle. "Come on, try some."

Erick took a bite of the chapati and while still chewing, he commented, "Mmm, it's good, really good."

Samira, in her own mockingly gentlemanly British accent, teased him, "Don't speak while you're eating, my dear sir. It's ungentlemanly of you."

Erick laughed and continued with his questions. "So, what do you do?"

Samira hesitated before answering, "I'm a vlogger."

Erick's face lit up with interest. "Oh, cool! What's your niche?"

Samira explained, "I'm a lifestyle and travel vlogger."

Erick, still curious, asked, "That sounds exciting. What's the name of your channel, and where have you been to?"

Samira hesitated again, "I've mainly visited beautiful places in England."

Erick seemed a bit unimpressed. "Mmmh!?"

Just as they were in the midst of this conversation, Erick's phone rang. He saw the call and quickly informed Samira, "Sorry, it's my manager. Erick " Hey, Ed" Edward "Hello Erick, I might have something for you.. Its Blurr, a sports drink company, they want to talk to you"

Samira gets intrigued with the call.

Erick" You sure about them Ed, are they serious people".

Edward nervously " Yeah, Yeah just come in".

Then Erick hangs up goes into his room to prepare.
