Chapter 7- Blurr

Chapter 6

Derrick stood at the classroom board, ready to dive into another afternoon class. With a firm stroke of the marker pen, he wrote "Projectile Motion" on the board. The room buzzed with the energy typical of high-schoolers. Derrick's patience wore thin as the chattering continued, prompting him to raise his voice. "Silence, everyone! I said silence!" he exclaimed, but the class resembled a storm of young voices.

Derrick decided to employ a different tactic to regain control. He grabbed a pen and, with the precision of a seasoned athlete, flung it towards one of the notorious back benchers, resulting in laughter rippling through the room. The students finally settled into a hushed buzz.

Derrick grinned and teased, "And that, guys, is projectile motion." A few of the eager students at the front of the class chuckled, while some of the more studious types nodded in appreciation.

He then posed a question to the class, "Who can provide us with a proper scientific definition?" A young girl named Jenny, her hand shooting up like a bolt of lightning, caught Derrick's attention. He acknowledged her, "Yes, Jenny."

Jenny answered with confidence, "Projectile motion is the motion of an object thrown into the air when, after the initial force that launches the object, air resistance is negligible, and the only other force that object experiences is the force of gravity."

Derrick smiled and commended her, "Correct, Jenny. But you can see that our study in this physics classroom is limited because, to understand it fully, we have to make several assumptions." As he spoke, he wrote on the board to illustrate his point.

He continued, "We have to assume that there is no frictional resistance to air. We have to assume there's almost no effect due to the curvature and rotation of the Earth. And we also have to assume that the acceleration due to gravity is constant in magnitude and direction at all points of projectile motion."

Derrick paused for a moment before concluding, "This may seem like science fiction, but through fiction, we can grasp the concepts in reality."

Meanwhile, Erick found himself in an elevator with his somewhat sweaty and nervous manager, Edward. Doubts crept into Erick's mind as he questioned his manager's certainty. "So, you sure about this, Ed? Are these guys the real deal?"

Edward nodded nervously, "Yeah, yeah."

As the elevator reached the 4th floor, a well-dressed man warmly welcomed them and introduced himself, "Nice to finally meet you, Erick. My name is Isack. Let's go and discuss in the conference room."

Settled in the conference room, Isack exuded enthusiasm as he praised Erick, "We've witnessed your extraordinary prowess on the court, Erick. We believe you're the perfect fit for Blurr."

Erick couldn't help but release a confident, amused smile.

Isack explained, "Blurr is designed to keep athletes at their best during those intense, long matches. It's packed with electrolytes and has an energizing twist of flavor. We want you to tell your fans how it powers your game."

Erick inquired, "Yeah, yeah. What are you offering?"

Isaack answered " We are prepared to give 1 million pounds"

Edward looked increasingly anxious, his nerves showing.

Erick expressed his concerns, "Ed, I thought you said these guys are serious."

Ed remained silent, prompting Isack to ask, "Is there a problem?"

Erick mocked, "Is there a problem? Ed, let's go, these guys are a joke."

As they began to leave, Isack quickly intervened, "Okay, okay, I'm sure we can work this out. What do you want?"

Erick stood just before opening the glass door, his words sharp and precise, "Double it, then we can talk. And I'm not coming here again; you'll have to send an e-contract."

Exiting the room, Erick and Edward headed for the elevator. Inside, Erick delivered his verdict, "And Ed, you're sacked. I'll pay for what's left." Edward's nervousness shifted to sadness as they descended.
