Savior.

Whips of air flew against my hair as I struggled against ropes practically drilled into my arms, "Forget it Eric, no matter what new smart moves you think of.. That rope is anti-mana, it will only suck out your mana even more if you use your powers.."A tall male claimed as he sat next to me.

"Besides, it just happens to be that Anti-mana is Urei's specialty afterall.."Ace elaborated ashe looked no way in my direction, "Why'd you pull me up?.."I asked, still slightly struggling against the ropes.

My fingers shifted to a pocket knife not visible to the eye of Ace who seemed mildly distracted, "Why?.. Simply because Kylar told me too.. I'd do anything for the likes of him even if I had to stand by and watch him..Well, enough talking..Dinner's in 30 minutes."Ace stopped whatever he was saying as she stood up walking away, careful not to fall off the ridges of the dragon's body.

The dagger managed to cut the anti magic rope, now don't get me wrong the rope was very strong when met with mana, but absolutely weak when met with artificial items, nice try Urei.

The ropes fell off my wrist, little bits of bruising could be seen but I kept vigilant as I watched multiple demigods pass by trying to open up a conversation or two, completely ignoring the fact that I was tied up, or at least still pretending to be.

My ears peered through the ridges of the dragons, now.. How long would it take to get back to Kylar?..I raised my hand up to my chest level as I watched little bits of sparks of lightning, it could work.

Once the coast was clear and no one or even a single demigod was to be seen, I sneaked out, it was dark outside, a starry night sky with a midnight hue, swiftly I managed to take some food stored up and put it into my bag, before hearing a young voice.

"Daddy?.."The young girl yawned as she rubbed her eyes, she was delusional, she looked no older than 10 .. Who made a 10 year old come?.. I sighed softly before kneeling down in front of the girl.

"Yes sweetie?..."I smiled as the girl stared at me blankly before breaking down in tears, "Mommy misses you.. Daddy will you come back home?.."The girl sobbed as she hugged me tightly.

Not knowing how to respond, I hugged back for a few seconds more before handing her an apple, "It's past your bedtime dear.. Daddy has unfinished business to do.. Good night.."I replied simply as I patted her on the head, the young girl was barely satisfied with my answer.

"Or.. the monster under your bed will bite you..!"I whispered in her ear, scaring her immediately to rush back into the much less blanket and pillow on the dragon's back.

With the apple.

Well, there goes my dinner for the night.

I was nearing the edge of the dragon, as I looked down at the mass of clouds almost completely covering the land under it.

Holding out my hand a bow appeared, "Now if i do this correctly.. I should teleport.."I said to myself preparing the arrows and bows, and aimed for the furthest I could see or at least shoot.

Releasing the arrow, it landed on a land so ambiguous, I teleported, just from a shot of an arrow as simple as that.

I looked down pulling out a specific charm, it had a dark black iris but was framed with rose gold, a true gem of the abyss.

Taking the gem near my lips I pecked it, before looking from afar at the soundless mountains surrounding me, "He's close."I spoke to myself as I noticed the gem shining lighter and lighter the more that I walked.

I couldn't help but focus on finding Kylar's location, the more that the gem shined the more I grew eager.. I paused.

"Ray, is there a reason why you're following me?.."I asked as I looked around to find nothing, but a 'simple' bush, a 'simple' but highly suspicious bush, wait.. That shade of green leaves doesn't match the others-

I pulled the strand of hair as Ray yelped out in pain, being entirely caught red-handed as he struggled to get up confidently from the ground, "Yo Eric- Crazy to see you here!"Ray tried to confidently play off.

"Why aren't you with Maria and the others?.."I said confused but I'm guessing Ray saw me in a different set of moods, his gaze averted from mine, "Well- Uh.. You see.."

"I persuaded him to come with me.."Ace pointed out as he appeared out of thin air, taking all the blame, "Y-Yep! That's what happened!"Ray exclaimed nervously right away. I didn't buy into any of Ace's lies, but didn't care much either.

Nothing signaled me better than the rising of the sun from the bright rays, "Well.. it's not like i can stop you anymore huh?.. Just hurry up, he's not too far from here, but that would mean that he should be back now."I said a bit concerningly.

Ray pouted a bit not understanding half of what I meant, "Sure I owe my whole loyalty to Kylar, but, mind putting even a little trust in him that he's just resting somewhere?.. And not dead?.."Ray admitted to my dramatic change of behavior.

"It's not like i don't' trust Kylar-"

"You love him, don't you?"Ace questioned right away, keeping straight eye contact with me.

There was a long pause between the two, their hair bristled through the wind, but neither of them were less stubborn to give in.

"Let's just keep going!"Ray jumped in afraid of what might befall us if they just kept staring, nudging us to not only stop looking at eachother but also to move forward.

----

A cave of ruins, decorated with gems and gold of every kind, pearls were decorated and stringed down from moss, water dripping was the only thing heard in the cave besides the voices of the demigod.

"You sure this is where Kylar went?.."Ray questioned as he looked around quite cowardly, I looked down on the ground feeling the presence of a particular arrow.

"It's where my tracking arrow led me, so it must be the right place.."I pointed out as I picked up the arrow and it disappeared in the grasp of my hand.

"Ah- right, relying on an arrow to find Kylar.. Makes sense.."Ray said sarcastically, not trusting the validation of a single arrow.

Untill Ray paused, "Yeah wait-.. I do feel Kylar's presence here.."Which surprised me a bit, "You can feel his presence?..."I asked a bit suspicious but was desperate enough to not care at the moment.

The demigod stood still before looking around, his eyes piercing a certain familiar color, as he pointed where he thought Kylar was, well unfortunate for us, he was pointing to a solid wall.

Just as I was about to shoot some lightning, the wall was completely abolished, as tiny little rain particles fell on me, "We should get a moving..''Ace continued on as we followed after, though I have a feeling Ray was a bit speechless from Ace's ability.

OIt didn't surprise me a bit, a son of the big three God's should at least be able to do that, the cave behind the wall had a conspicuous smell, one of a corpse.

Surprisingly Ray didn't look queasy, which means he must've faced something like this before, well that's practically unsettling.

"It's not the corpse of a human or a demigod don't worry.."Ray attempted to reassure me, despite having the thought of death in my mind, I have enough trust in Kylar to know that he's alive… right?

A familiar body lay on the floor, covered in dirt and with an unfamiliar scent of blood, "Kylar-.."I said quickly, helping to his aid as I examined him, I sighed into relief realizing that the blood wasn't from him.

But it didn't rule out the fact of scrapes, and twinges of poison scent coming from him, he held something in his hand.. Wait. Are those eyes of a gorgon?

"Those are indeed the eyes of Medusa.. Cover it quickly so Ray can't see it.."Ace responded oddly calmly, as he handed me a white piece of cloth to cover up the forbidden eyes.

I wrapped the cloth over the eyes, as I carefully placed it inside the smaller pockets of my bag, as I carried the unconscious body of the demigod in my arms.

A reluctant expression grazed the face of Ace as he averted his gaze from mine, "Do you need anything?.."I questioned his behavior, but he refused to respond.

I could feel a slight earthquake as the ground shaked just slightly, before Ray exclaimed, "We have to go!"He yelled out as he ran in front of me.

I carried Kylar on my back, as the rumbling of rocks and the clear fact of the walls that were falling apart,

Despite carrying another person who seemed too thin for my liking, Ace was still behind me, as if he wanted to make sure of something, but at the moment I had too much going on to react to it.

Once the rumbling stopped, the cave we entered was now in a pile of dust, the entrance we entered once before, was completely gone from existence.

"Wow..that's the cave we made out of?.."Ray said as he panted, trying to get some oxygen through his mouth.

A fluorescent shine of the sun blinded my view, but it also made me appreciate the moment now, the grasses were a beautiful jade shade of green.

Before I felt the breath of someone on my back, "Oh.. hey Eric.."Kylar said tiredly, as he kept arms tight around my throat, "Good morning!.."I replied just as energetically as ever.

"Good you're alive.."Ace said bluntly, noticing that Kylar woke up, before Ray jumped into the conversation, 'Great! Now Urei will be glad to have you back!.."Ray exclaimed.

As he continued to explain how Urei was upset about Kylar being gone, "Is that the reason why you came back for Kylar?.."I asked the demigod, Ray paused a little, before looking over my shoulder, for some kind of approval.

"Yep!.. That is why I came back to get Kylar.."The demigod had claimed, I looked over to my shoulder but all I saw was a sleeping demigod, nothing to worry about.

An enticing feeling of a lie didn't escape me, "Ah.. okay, now how are we supposed to make it back to the school?.."I smiled innocently as I felt like threatening Ray.

The two demigods paused.

"Well-.. We don't know about that yet-.."Ray said with a nervous kind of aura, his green hair sitting nervously swinging left to right, as he tried to quickly explain why we don't have any transportation.

I sighed deeply as I watched the demigod ramble, "It's fine, I have something else that we can use to make it back there.."I reassured him.

As we just watched the sun rise up from the sky, ready for the morning of today, hoping for a safer journey back to the school.
