It was then when the odd sounds and yelling made the team consider an investigation until the source became apparent it was a fight ongoing and cemented their action.

"Deteriorate! Eat acid, sons of bitches of the whore machinery forge!"

The insult was as creative as the genius mind that splashed acidic liquid on the androids below through the use of expensive glass flasks and fragile containers. 'That voice sounds familiar…' the young lady swore, as she tried to figure out the mystery until it clicked when the mad man spoke harsher words through his vile mouth.

"Mr. Abigail?!"

Emelia was hushed and given stern looks before Alex inquired as she asks about their relationship. "Oh he's my-"

"Do not mess with a chemistry teacher, bitch!"

Emelia couldn't mistake the terrible loud-mouthed teacher she knew and had at school. But despite being talkative, the man was displaying a brave fight against the many androids below that were hissing and melting away. All the while their guns shot at him – forcing him to take rest from his relentless abusive rants.

"Upgrade your calculation and mathematics, maybe your programs too to enhance your trajectory! Because hit me already!"

But just as the man has loudly claimed such, he immediately hid for cover when the shooting began, only for him to realize that the target has not been him. Instead, it has been the androids that have been eliminated.

"All hostiles neutralized, move in!" Alex instructed as she informed, making a move to the front of the apartment building as the team settled a defense. "Mr. Abigail! This is the D.E.O tactical unit, are you wounded?!" Sandra yelled from her lungs until she received a response in the same tone and loudness.

"Aye, that's me! But how did you know- Oh! Is that you miss Hartfort?!" the man screams as he spotted a student from the school he taught standing there with the soldiers.

"It's me Emelia! We're heading to the D.E.O headquarters, where it's safe! You should join us!" the senior student proposed as she have all yelled back and was out of breath. "Is that so?! Alright, I'll come on down! Give me a minute!"

"You must have an interesting time during chemistry class, huh?"

Nick spoke and directed the question towards Emelia, all while he kept on a look out at their surroundings. "Oh yeah, it does some time." The young girl with neck-length blonde-haired muttered as she thought about the times that she would be the cause of those 'interesting' times in class.

"Hmm, from the look on your face I can guess that you're the upstart brat in every single class you attend." Flustered at being spotted as being the trouble-maker she prepared to refute the comment made against her until;

"Oh, she is! Emelia Hartfort, school's worst delinquent and brat yet the school's most top student in decades history and a brat still."

Mr. Abigail both complimented and insulted the young girl that she groans aloud at the profile made to depict the senior student's character.

"Well then, should we make our way to safety ladies and gentlemen?"

When the invasion all but began and the city became the battlegrounds as the enemy androids continued to push – all agents, staff members, and rescued civilians were ordered to take immediate shelter in the many such places; mostly preferred the D.E.O Headquarters.

However, despite the HQ being reinforced on its defenses – Indigo's android army trampled any resistance it comes across – the agents and personnel were thinned out and heavily crushed without the intent of slowing down as opposed to the resistance it showed.

"Everyone keep frosty! Another wave is incoming!" a deep voice warned the personnel and agents on the ground before more shouting and orders were screamed between all units on standby. "Get to position!" "Keep an eye on the right flank! Hostiles advancing!"

As the shootout began and the gunfight occurred, the defending D.E.O units were being made quick work as another personnel fell to the ground wasted. "Requesting reinforcement to the right flank! There's too many of them!"

"Negative! Pull back! The position is lost, retreat! I say again, retreat!" the voice on the radio informed and instructed.

"Roger that! Everyone, move! Quickly! You heard the man! Move!" and in a dashing speed, the men made their way to the secondary lines. But while the retreating men were pulling away from their collapsing position and out to the open – several personnel and agents had been struck down in their retreat. "Covering fire!" those that were unscathed made awful poor attempts to give those that were wounded to crawl or limp for covers.

"We need to save them!" a rookie agent spoke out, but behind those glistening eyes and shaking limbs, the old personnel calls bullshit on the bravado act. "Let the soldiers do the work! Just sit back and shoot."

Meanwhile not far out…

"Situation is looking dire by the seconds, what's the plan, Director?" Nick scouted the scene with binoculars in hand as he radioed back. "Copy that, stay put and concealed. We'll think about our approach."

The lieutenant and director strategize while the rest kept an open eye on their positioning. "I think I may just have found ourselves an option, Director. To my northeast, there seems to be an abandoned trashed armor truck that appears to belong to us. There could be heavily cached weaponry and grenades. However, it is impossible to say whether it has been looted or not."

D.E.O personnel Lieutenant Nick reported, and by the end of it, the option seems to be the only solid choice in the unit's approach and assist the defenders in the uphill battle. "Okay then, we'll take a bet on investigating the armored truck. In case it isn't looted, we will move to the closest building we can get to without being detected – then we light those androids up to smithereens."

When the team did discover heavy weaponry and grenades, a soldier had been tasked to guard the unarmed civilians that have been informed for the time being it was safe to remain in the trashed armor truck. The unfortunate soldier; the Death Korps Grenadier, Hylric.

However, in a miracle rare occurrence for a Death Korps Guardsman to display absolute confusion and thoughts – despite being soldiers that always have a clear goal and never confuses their thoughts – it conflicted the korpsman.

017823-9348, Grenadier of the 107th siege regiment – began to 'think' against the voices of the indoctrinate that had been preached to him.

'Left to attend duty and orders, but a battle is a place where should be.' The Korpsman couldn't bring itself to refer to its name and usage of "I" to identify itself. 'Tools made for war, not to be used for anything else.'

It then later admits that life in the trenches as a simple line infantry, was more preferred. There were only just the orders, to defend, charge the enemy, and hope to die. A perfect tool made just for war; a perfect imperial guardsman bred just for war.
