Sparing with a friend.

the next day. as I went into the dining hall to eat breakfast. I saw Raven eating cereal. she saw me, nodded and went back to eating. after last night I thought we had gotten closer.

but it was not the case it seems. well ok. we can slowly get to now each other by the end.

As I took my bowl of cereal. Dick came with a large chest bearing the Wayne industries logo on it.

"Leon this is a gift from Bruce." Dick said with a smile.

I slowly approached and opened it. I saw the weapon and armor Bruce made for me. I was thankful, knowing him he will not give out these things willy nilly.

then there is a small note that was in the case.

"Hope you like the stuff. it's thanks for bieng friends with my son. he may be brash, arrogant, and with a superiority complex. but I hope you can be a good friend to him."

with a smile I took the hammer. it was lighter than I thought. I have it a few swings, and I fell in love with it instantly.

Raven who saw me swinging the hammer, smiled I didn't noticed it at all. but then more of the gang came into the dining room.

Garfield who saw the hammer whistled. and admired the weapon.

"Leon wanna have ago with that weapon. I always wanted to have a sparing match with you what do you say?"

I nodded I also wanted to try it out. "Yeah after breakfast ok."

a few moments later. both me and Garfield proceeded in the training area. hammer in hand I took a fighting stance and Beast boy did the same.

beast boy dashed forward. and jumped in mid air, and transformed into a. eagle and tried to attack me with it's claws.

I can see this from a mile away. but didn't do anything, with the help of Devotion aura. his claw attack didn't even scratched me.

as I let my guard down. he transformed again into a giant gorilla and proceeded to get me into a sleeper hold.

it was my mistake to let my guard down. true Uther's memories can help me fight in some extent. but now I have hit a wall.

I can fight normal people no problem

but if I fought a person with particular sets of skills

I doubt I could win straight up. but still I can probably fight Garfield in some extent.

"Damn that hurt Gar. but still I won't give up."

I activated Lvl 1 Blessings of might. and proceeded to elbow his ribs. he felt pain

but I can't let him recover, with both of my hands griping the hammer. I proceeded to strike him with the hammer.

Beast boy flew a few meters away. while in the air he transformed again into a fly. because he was small I couldn't detect him.

he was close in my face when he transformed again. this it was a tiger and pounced on me. he bit my neck. but there is no visible damage.

still bitting my neck. I used all my strength to kick him away from me. he was knocked back a few feet of me, and I slowly got up.

Garfield now back in his human form said.

"You are strong Leon but, I have the animal kingdom within me, I have not used a fraction of it."

"I know Garfield, but I won't go down without a fight."

then the two of us charged at each other, until Starfire (Cory) stoped us both with her strength.

"Boys enough, you both have done well. now it's time for a break."

both of us nodded and proceeded to shower.

Damian Pov

I saw the match between Garfield and Leon. when I fought Leon his technique was good but lack the experience to fight someone with special talents.

And that power he has, from what I have noticed is that it's getting stronger, but not powerful enough to overwhelm someone.

Let's leave him for now. I will keep watching him.

Raven Pov

Last night was so uncharacteristic of me. I'm not used to asking for help. but I did. and him of all people. everytime I get near him I feel uncomfortable.

but I have to endure he promised me that he will save me. yes he is a stranger to me. but I am willing to take a chance if it will help me suppress my father.

maybe I should go in his room again. NoNoNo

I'm a young woman. I can't be this daring. if he is taking the effort to save me he will come around eventually.

then a voice came into my head.

"Daughter why do I feel that you have affection for this young mortal."

I was startled. why would you say that about your daughter.

"I do not have affection for him, I'm just asking him for help against you."

"Is that so, well try as he likes, he can't defeat. me so whatever the two of you are planning, it won't work. I am Trigon I'm a god."

I just went silent. but in my heart I was enraged. so I made up my mind. I will go into his room again tonight.
