Invitation

after the fiasco at the bar. I went home and slept like a log. then the next day went as usual, training my self in controlling the power of the light.

I'm still no where near the power of Uther in his prime but I'm slowly getting there. after a short while Mrs Evans approached me. It seems I have a visitor.

"Leon Darling Mr Bruce Wayne is here to see you."

I was surprised, why is batman here all of a sudden. then it hit me, this is Gotham city after all. so he must have known about the incident in the bar.

nevertheless I must meet him and see what his plans are.

Bruce Wayne POV

Last night I found something interesting. while I was on patrol with my son Damian. I saw a kid a little older than my son stormed onto a bar and proceeded to to destroy the whole place.

I searched his profile in the bat computer. and what I saw surprised me.

Name. Leon Hardins

Age. 14

Father. unknown

Mother. unknown

No criminal records. top of his class and often got into fights.

overall not a threat.

as I saw this I began to wonder how did he get those powers, without hesitation I proceeded to go to the orphanage where he currently staying.

"Damian we need to see this kid up close."

"Yes father I want to see he's capabilities."

Leon Pov

I entered the room where a man in a suit with a 12 year old boy next beside him. I looked at both of them from head to toe, and saw that if I fought batman now I will be beaten up badly.

"Leon Hardins. Bruce Wayne."

then he proceeded to extend his arms I. front of me for a handshake. of course I didn't deny him. so I shook his hand.

"Mr Wayne what can I do for you."

Bruce smiled then got to the point.

"Mr Hardins last night you destroyed one of the Marone families bar's. and what is worse they saw your face so. it's only a matter of time before they come back to this place."

I sighed I was brash last night. I didn't think it through. but the question still needed to be answered.

"So why Why is Mr Bruce Wayne came to see me personally?"

He Smiled then he proceeded to throw a battarang straight through me. with all the training I did in the past few I can easily see it. but I didn't dodged instead. I activated Devotion Aura and let it hit me in the chest.

"I think I know why Mr Wayne or should I said Batman is here to see me, you want to recruit me or something? But I refuse."

Bruce was taken aback then he smiled. and proceeded to get the documents from his bag. then he offered it to me.

"This is my proposition for you Mr Hardins."

I looked at the documents and was stunned. this could set me for life if I accept this deal with him, but what about the orphanage, I can't just leave the only family I have I'm this world.

"This offer is tempting Mr Wayne, but what about the orphanage. the are the only family I have left. my mother died to bring me into this world, I can't abandon them. now that the Marone family is after me."

"Yes I have thought of that too. this orphanage is now under the Wayne foundation. with that kind of name behind it. nobody will try to mess with it. what do you say?"

before I answered. the boy beside him said something.

"Father let me test him, let me see if he is worthy to be a titan."

"are you sure Damian, he can block bullets with his body you know."

"I will be fine father."

I sighed then I gestured Damian to follow me into my training area. for the past few years the back of the orphanage is a little Forrest, nobody goes there only I go their to train in seclusion.

As the two of us came into the area, Damian pulled out his sword proceeded to do warm up swings with it.

Damian Wayne POV

I follow the the man in front me into a clearing in the Forrest behind his orphanage. I drew my sword and stretched a bit. but what I saw stunned me.

"Is that your weapon?" I asked.

"Yes it's not much but it will do the job nicely."

I nodded the we proceeded to take our fighting stance. From what my father said about him. is that he is bullet proof. so I can totally fight without holding back.

I dashed at him at full speed and was about to slash at his neck when suddenly. he dodged to the sides, and proceeded to strike me with his hammer in my exposed abdomen.

as his strike was about to hit. I blocked his hammer head with my sword and with the momentum of his strike I used them to create distance.

"You are good Leon but I will end it here."

I said to him. the I threw a flashbang at him hoping of disorienting him.

but. the next moment I was grabbed in my collar and was headbutted by him. how did he crossed that distance. then I saw the answer.

"What kind of power is that?" I asked.

"It's the power of the light. you can think of it as an entity that resides in me. this is the source of my powers."

"I see. My name is Damian WAYNE, it's a pleasure to meet you Leon"

"Likewise Damian."

Bruce Wayne POV

After a few minutes, the two boys came back.

and from what I saw the two kids became friends it seems.

"So how did it go?"

"I was beaten by him, but for some reason I was fine with it."

Then I looked at The young man I. front of me and asked.

"So what's your answer?"

"I accept."
