CHAPTER 7: Choosing between
As you equipped yourself with throwing knives as you started chucking at the tiger but it barely hits the tiger as you never have handled throwing knives before. You noticed the tiger being slowed by the lightning ball as it electrified the tiger. It roars furiously as it speeds to reach were you are as its claw hits the roof of the car as it were slashed as you jumped out but luckily the car still moves missing any gears and important parts but the door was ripped open as you fall off the ground as the beast ignored you and continued following the car.
There, in a patch of grass surrounded by abandoned buildings as the sun sets . You waited and waited for hours until the stars covered the sky as the growls of monster can be heard. You crouched down with no guns and no rations of food and only having G7 and a bunch of clothes and other essentials. You were stuck on the dead of the night as you crawled towards a abandoned building which seems to be in good condition given the apocalypse destroyed multiple houses and killed a lot of people but here there are no corpses. You search the basement to see there are no food left and only 3 bottle of water can be found. As you lit the room with your flashlight you sit in the corner.
"G7 can i grab the the item?"
"Sure, please select an item" G7 responded as it floats near you
"An Atlas" as blue light shined up you to see a steel breastplate with blue lining surrounding it and a blue light coming from the chest which looks like iron mans but in the chest there are a blue holographic square as you tried to touch it only to zap you
"So what does this items do?" you ask to avoid sleeping
Infinity Knives
Type:Orion
Description: A bluish holographic knives that can be infinitely produce with a thought. Upon hitting the target, it will pierce the skin and muscles as it absorbs the blood of the enemy. Extremely strong if used correctly.
Effects: Produce infinite knives that can absorb the blood of enemies. Produces a bleeding effect upon impact.
The Armor of Dekras
Type:Atlas
Description: One of the most practical and used armor in the dimension =low clearance= for its high protection and low weight compared to its competitors. It is designed to be lightweight while protecting the user greatly. High protection to blunt attacks
Effects: Gives minor resistance to pierce attacks for 20% and gives resistance to blunt attacks for 100%
as the screen of G7 describes the item
As you equipped the breastplate you feel a sudden heaviness in your back but you were able to run but slower than before.
"Well protection is always good" as you sleep uncomfortable in the basement.
As morning comes and the morning light shines upon the basement as you wake up from your sleep.
"Where are they?" you ask to yourself as you get a bright idea
"Hey!G7 where is the rest of the group?" as G7 goes out of your bag and hovers around you
"They are currently in a building near Dekasas approximately 1689 kilometers from here" G7 responded
"How the heck did they reach such a far place?" you ask again as you stand up and grab your belongings.
"The Xenomorphs teleported humans for consumption but if they have an item, they let them fight in a arena for entertainment" G7 responded
"How can i reach Dekasas faster?" you walked outside to see a number of multiple monstrosity as you go back inside
"What the heck are the government doing!?" you cursed under your breath and walked back to the basement.
"The government has been destroyed since the monster first targeted the important locations around the globe," G7 responded
"Dammit!!, any military bases?"
"They are countless battles around the globe but the decrease of ammunition will annihilate most military bases unless they acquire an informational atlas like me " G7 responded
"Damn! this is really the end of the world
"So is my parents still safe?" with a worried look
"Yes,they are indeed safe at the moment"
"Good"
"They will survive for 3 days" G7 added
"What?! why?!" you ask with a surprise
"That's the estimated time of the whole military base in Rechas"
"Damn!! sorry John and Cassandra but i gotta save my family...ill revenge what they did" as your fist tightens in anger
"So where is the fastest route towards Rechas?" you ask with a worried look.
"Straight north from here" G7 responded
"Okay.." as you run outside as fast as you can ignoring any monster as you equipped your breastplate and throwing knives.
A mutant serpent sees you and slithered towards you and in the blink of an eye you were wrapped by the serpent as it crushes your chest if not for the breastplate you would be dead. You bashed the serpent on its body while your left hand keeps on stabbing the beast with knives as you keep on stabbing until the monster bleeds out and pummled. As you run again only to feel a sharp pain in your ribs as you suspect that some rib bones were cracked but you push on ignoring the pain.
You find a sports car with no scratches or any broken parts sitting in the road as you entered it quickly only to see a man with a gun pointed at your face
"Hey, stealing is bad and if you don't get out your brains will splatter" said the red haired man with a smile
"You can shoot me later but i need to reach my parents.." you said with a cold tone as you started the engine and the car moves quickly
"Well that must be important to even ignore a man pointing a gun in your head" as the man chuckled as you look at him you can't clearly see him
"I just killed a serpent larger than 3 of you combined" you said as you swerved the road left and right avoiding any car that has crashed
"You know..i like you" said by a woman voice as the man take off his cap and baggie hoodie to reveal a sexy lady with a long red gorgeous hair and a charming face
"Wth!!" you were surprised as the car nearly crashed as the lady chuckled and laugh at you
"First time seeing such a beautiful lady?" said the lady with a smirk as she touches your arm
"No but my first time to see a woman disguising as a man, and a pretty good one too" you said with smile as you see her staring at you before she throws back her body laughing
"So what's your name?" you look at her pretty deeply and inspecting her body
"You creep!" she holds her arm around her body as she chuckled as you give her a annoyed look
"My name is..." she looked around and looked at you and your overall body appearance as she barely stifles a laugh
"If you have something to say about my body, dont" you looked at her with a mean stare and you sighs and decided to ignore any coming remark from her
"You..are not that well built..how do i say this..your fa fat!" she laughed loudly as it echoes in the car until her eyes form tears and she crutches her stomach from too much laughing .
"Happy?" you give her a annoyed look but you can't help to see her beauty that annoys you even more since you can't tease her at all
"Yes..haha..sorry, my names Leah, Leah Jameson" she gestures as she tips a imaginary hat and a texan accent as she smiled brightly that you can't help to feel something in your heart
"My name is David, David Jackson..not really a nice to meet you" you look at her with a stern look but you decided to smile fakingly as possible to let her see your sarcasm
"Hahah, you are very interesting" she said gently with a warm smile
"So what do you do?" she added with a question
"Engineer, how about you?
"Businesswomen and a model, im too good for you sorry" she said with smile only to intend to anger you
"Im not interested anyway" you replied in a cold way
"Really?" she goes near you and leans towards your face with only centimetres from her face to your cheek as she smiles as your heart beats rapidly than the speed of the sportscar
As she leans back and laughing loudly while your expression to that of anger but you dissipated it easily. You can't help but like her which annoys you
"Your done?" you replied with a angry tone as you focused on the road more
"Nope!" she said cheerfully as she smiles again.
"Tell me about yourself" she said seriously
"Well i grow on rechas where my family is currently at but i did go to college and find a job in the capital. My life is pretty boring leading up to the point where i found some survivors and tag with them well.." your voice turned weaker with a sad voice as you continue ".until the teleportation happened...i need to save them but my parents is more important....im such a useless jerk" as you grab the steering wheel tightly
"No, your not...in my opinion your brave to face sacrifices head on" she sympathies with she gives you a smile and sat silently
"Is the world ending? are you actually trying to be nice with me?" you laughed as Leah pouted and smile as she chuckled in return
"So where are we going?" she asked
"To where my parents are" you said worriedly
"How about you? how come you are alone?" you ask out of curiosity
"My parents and my little brother died in the monster attack while most of my friends deserted me...they are friends if i have money but if i don't have any ill be a stranger to them" she said with a sad tone as she looks at the window
"Sorry to hear that..how about this, I'm gonna be your friend and i won't desert you in any way" you said with a smile
"No thanks, you are not worthy of my friendship" she wipes her tears and laughed at you
"You!" as you sigh and shakes your head "nevermind" as you smiled at her and stared at her happily as Leah noticed this as she gives you a smile and she mouthed thank you or what you imagine
