Team 8 (Part-4)

Gai hummed as he and his team was heading towards a restaurant to celebrate their first Successful C-Rank mission.

Lee noticed his idol/sensei humming, so he decided to do the same.

Tenten and Neji sighed angrily. But they held their cool, or at least Neji did.

Tenten had stopped and was looking at Lee and Gai sensei. "You two are so annoying"

Neji turned around and they kept on going, but Gai sensei suddenly grabbed Neji's collar and pulled him backward. "NO! NEJI!" Neji whimpered.

Tenten rolled her eyes and then noticed Gai sensei was looking off in another direction. She looked over in this direction and saw that he was looking over at his rival Kakashi.

She giggled a bit, she had found out they were rivals just last weekend when Gai sensei lost to Kakashi sensei. Again.

Kakashi sighed, He was heading over to the Ichiraku Ramen to eat something. Just his luck that he met the Green Beast of Konoha.

Kakashi rolled his eyes and looked away.

Gai had brung a fist to his chest and his eyes had a bit of fire in them. "Man! That Kakashi! I hate it when he tries to seem so cool!"

Lee smiled, as he did the same thing, brung a fist up and his eyes lit up with fire.

Tenten rolled her eyes again and noticed Neji was leaving. "Neji! wait!" she called to him, leaving the other two doing... well, whatever they were doing.

Gai had just finished the cake he was eating at the celebration. The others won't be done yet though.

Gai was running around, urging for his team to hurry up.

They, besides Lee, just look at him weirdly. "Gai sensei... how come?" asked Tenten, a mouth full of cake.

Gai chuckled. "Because... your youth would-" "Tell the truth sensei," muttered Neji.

Gai was about to say something when Lee's eyes brightened.

"Owww... it's my Eternal Rival", Lee said with a fist and fire in his eyes.

Gai turned to Lee.

"Lee... You have an eternal rival?"

"Yes, Gai-sensei! Okami-Kun here is really Strong and very Hard Working..!! That's why I have decided to make him my eternal rival! And our wills will clash in an explosion of youth!"

"Lee..."

"Gai-sensei!"

"Lee!"

"Gai-sensei!"

"SHUT UP", Tenten Yelled, God has given her patience, but in front of these two, it's useless.

Neji and Ten-Ten looked at the newly arrived boy who was taking the takeout from Ramen Store...

'Him?', Tenten tilted her head, as she remembered the boy whose eyes were crying that day, The day she delivered his custom daggers.

"YOSH..!! Uh... Where is Okami kun?"

Gai gritted his teeth, "My Rival Kakashi is gone as well"

(Not far away)

"Thank you for saving me from Lee", Okami said with a huge sigh of relief.

"How did you get tangle with Gai and his student?"

"Well, when he was in the academy, He was running and training hard, while all others were just laughing and eating. I don't know what devil took over me when I decided to run with him. He seemed quite... Normal back then"

Okami sighed, "He challenged me afterward, and lost badly, Next day he challenged me again, and lost again... I thought this was just his desire to get strong, And I played along well... But... But...

Kakashi sighed, "He challenged you over and over again, over the smallest of things, didn't he?"

Okami sighed and nodded.

Lee is practically the ban of Quiet Okami, he challenges Okami again and again and again

"Recently he getting worse in his apprentice with Gai Sensei"

Kakashi chuckled, "Do you consider him your friend?"

Okami sighed, and after a while, He nodded.

Rock Lee is definitely his friend. No question about it. As weird he might be.

Kakashi smiled with closed eyes, and rubbed his hair, "Then there will not be a problem, I have gone through that, and all I can say is good luck..!! You are going to need it"

Gai made a fist and fire flared in his eyes! "One day I shall get you Kakashi!" he yelled.

(Next Day)

"Okay, jogging in the morning? Not my best idea." Okami said out loud, eyebrow twitching as he glared at the monstrosity before him.

Said monstrosity gave him a thumbs up and a smile that hurt his face just looking at it.

"I am ecstatic to know that Youthful Konoha's Genins are concerned with keeping up their strength!" He declared. Beside him, a miniature version of the man copied the pose and grin.

"As expected of my eternal Rival!"

He declared

"To be out and exercising at four-thirty in the morning! You truly are the most deserving of Lee's Eternal Rival"

Okami felt his eye twitch as he looked between the two.

"We are not rivals"

"What are you talking about Okami Kun..!! You are my eternal Rival because you work so hard despite always beating me to a pulp... our will clash in an explosion of yoooouuuuth!

"Lee..."

"Gai-sensei!"

"Lee!"

"Gai-sensei!"

"LEE!"

"GAI-SEN-"

"ALRIGHT, let's just focus on running shall we?"

Fire Burned in Lee's eyes.

"YOOSH--

"QUIETLY"

Maito Gai was easily the loudest, most peace-shattering person he had ever, ever met. And he'd apparently cloned himself in Rock Lee, the two beaming at Okami with those face-splitting grins and all but sparkling.

It was like some kind of sick nightmare.

"Ah, but I have yet to introduce myself!" The taller one declared, crouching in the oddest pose and throwing his arms up like he was defending himself.

"I know who you are..!!"

"You do?"

"Lee talks a lot about you... How you changed him, and you even taught him your secret technique, the 8 Gates"

!!!

"Lee, You told him about 8 Gates?"

"Yes, Gai-Sensei, I even used 8 Gates in all our fights"

"W-what, But I told you to never use it until unless it's condition are fulfilled"

"Forgive me Gai Sensei, But I couldn't hold against Okami Kun, It's a pity that I still couldn't touch him"

"Wait, You couldn't touch him even with Primary Lotus"

"Okami Kun is very strong Gai Sensei, He is even far stronger than Neji... And he is really cool and hip when he uses his soul arts... That's why I train harder each day so that one day I will not only touch him but beat him as well"

"Lee..."

"Gai-sensei!"

"Lee!"

"Gai-sen--

Okami was nearly in tears.

(After a while calling each other names)

"Such a beautiful morning, isn't it Okami Kun?"

"Sure."

"Isn't exercise simply fantastic, Okami Kun?"

"Mm-hm."

"Are you a fan of hard work, Okami Kun?"

Okami nodded.

"It's a good quality to have."

"Do you like turtles, Okami Kun?"

"... Turtles are... interesting creatures..." He said finally, looking back ahead. Gai nodded eagerly.

"Most consider them the sloths of the ground for their apparent sluggishness," He mused, but then held up a thumbs up at Okami. "But they are, in fact, the most hard-working creatures of them all! Having to hold up their heavy shells their entire lives, carrying their burden wherever they go!"

"... Hm..." Okami didn't know how to respond to that. "That's... I've never... thought of it like that."

"Most people don't," Gai assured him, patting his on the back and nearly sending Okami toppling.

"But it is always good to keep an open mind, and you learn new things each day!" He declared. Lee nodded eagerly behind Gai.

"That's why Gai-sensei became a sensei!" He exclaimed. "Because he knows the joys of learning new things, and he wishes to spread that joy throughout Konoha's new generation!" Gai turned towards his student, proud tears in his eyes.

"Lee! Such a youthful thing to say!" He exclaimed, choking slightly on his words. Lee's eyes welled up with tears and he beamed at his teacher.

"I learned from the best, Gai-sensei!" He declared, tears streaming down his face. Gai's tears soon did likewise.

"Lee!" He cried.

"Gai-sensei!" Lee responded.

"Lee!" Gai whirled and continued jogging backward as he embraced his student.

"Gai-sensei!" Lee threw his arms around his teacher, choking as he cried with the man.

Okami cried with them.

He is never ever running in the morning ever again.

"Lee and I were just on our one hundred and thirty-first lap around Konoha! Would you care to accompany us?"

Nope, No chance, Never

Okami desperately searched his mind for an excuse to avoid any further contact with the two.

"... I don't think you'd want to go with me" Okami finally managed. "I'm only jogging at my own speed, I am not as fast as Lee, and It sounds like you two were running at top speed." Gai waved him off in another dramatic pose.

"It does not matter, we will slow down our speed to your level"

Oh, no.

Hell no.

"Yosh! Come, Okami Kun! Let's have a race! Just like old times" Lee cried out.

Okami rolled his eyes, He was about to say something when he saw the fiery looks of Lee.

He really wanted to show off in front of his idol.

Okami eventually decide to give in.

Lee is his friend, a type of friend who will thoroughly annoy you, and will keep on annoying you to no end. But you still can't bring yourself to hate him.

And besides, One couldn't ask for a better and a Loyal friend like Rock Lee.

If you remove the annoying and the loud part that is.

Eventually, Okami ran with Gai and Lee all Morning.

And their bonds... Becomes stronger?

(Next Day, Konoha Main Entrance)

Kurenai Sensei and Okami were standing in front of the gate, talking to each other.

Okami was in a bad mood because his recent mission coincide with, Team Gai.

In other words...

"YOOOOOSH!"

'Here he comes'

A cloud of dust was kicked up as two figures in skin-tight green one suits came running before stopping in a small explosion of dirt.

The dust slowly settled revealing Lee and Gai, bot giving off their nice guy poses, "Yosh!" Gai cried out.

"We are here! Together with our youth, we will show the world the might of our fire!"

"Yes, Guy sensei! And if I can't do that I'll do a thousand push-ups! And if I can't do that I'll run around the village a hundred times!" Lee cried out.

"Ah, Lee you make me so proud to be your sensei!" Gai cried out.

"Thank you sensei!" Lee yelled back.

"Can't you two save it until we at least get on the road?!" came a female cry. Okami looked over and found Tenten and Neji walking up to them.

The former looking pissed off while the latter looking bored.

"Don't be like that Tenten! Lee and I are just showing off our youth!" Gai cried out.

"What do you think, aren't they quite Youthful?", whispered Kurenai sensei feeling amused by their antics and the weird face of Okami.
