Chapter 38

Akira observed the seal of silence in their mouth, through the small seal reveling, a sealing technique that enables the seal master to bring the contents of the seal out in sight; unlike the seal retraction that completely hides the seal in a single symbol, Akira was able to understand the general function of the seal.

The seal was focused on three parts, the tongue, the brain, and the heart.

From her understanding, the tongue had a lock of Information in it directly connected to the brain, which stops the tongue from talking, while the brain had a connection to the heart which means that if the information was passed from other ways than the tongue, the chakra sealed in the heart will explode taking with the whole body.

Akira couldn't discern the full specific content on the seal, after all, her sealing skill are self-studied and created, but this doesn't stop her from deploying other means to unlock the seal.

Her logic is actually quite simple, to make a seal, you need to make a sealing character, the character holds both the chakra and the intent, and the stronger the intent the greater the requirement for the character to hold chakra while being stable, as for the intent, it is just the ability to focus a concept while using spiritual energy.

The difficulty of sealing art is in the combination of different characters while being stable.

An example would be the steps required to make an explosive talisman, the first would be to make characters that were imbued with the intent to explode, hold, gather, stabilize, and trigger, then connect the lot while making sure the chakra is stable and the logic of the intent is good.

Akira still remembers the time when the explosive talisman burst right on her face as soon as she connected the characters.

An additional step would be to use the sealing retraction but in most cases it's unnecessary.

Another example is the chakra sealing technique that cut off the spiritual connection between the mind and the chakra.

While reminiscing above all that, Akira found several core components of the seal, they are usually the ones that are connected to several parts, some even consider them sealing nodes. One of them is in the tongue, the other in the heart, and the last in a risky part of the brain.

Akira's mastery doesn't give her the ability to safely destroy the nodes, so she decided to cut the part that has the seal and then use her medical ninjutsu to fully regenerate their tongues, and all parts of the seal that connected to that.

Since the seal only stops people from talking then once the part that defines that they talked is gone, the heart will not judge that the information was forcefully extracted from the brain which will make the seal of silence useless.

Natural, Akira was able to do this because of her ability to see the pure world, as such, she could see all the sealing characters.

It didn't take long for the Root Ninjas to wake up but besides their first attempt to break free and suicide, they stayed silent with a stoic face.

Akira had an intriguing look in her eyes, wondering whether they are as emotionless as Danzo claimed them.

Minutes later and Akira had cut off all of their tongues and the tricky part of the seal imbued in their flesh before using their vitality to heal them.

The Root Ninjas remain stoic despite their cry of pain.

Akira's torture commenced, first, she laid them all on the floor then cut off their visuals and hearing while enhancing their sense of touch, then she used a special technique to make a drop of water fall on their forehead every three minutes.

She decided to further explore her physical and spiritual gains, investigating the situation of Konoha and ame shinobis focusing on whether they know about her, and taking notes to check on her prisoners tomorrow.

The prisoners once awakened from their forced slumber, found themselves in a state of utter helplessness. The seal of silence, though no longer physically present in their mouths, had left its mark on their bodies. They could no longer speak, and the weight of their inability to communicate settled heavily upon them.

Fear mingled with confusion as they tried to comprehend their surroundings. They could see nothing, hear nothing, and were left alone with their own thoughts. The loss of sight and sound only amplified the intensity of their other senses, making them acutely aware of their vulnerability.

Akira, with her sadistic ingenuity, had carefully crafted their torment. As the prisoners lay on the cold floor, their bodies still healing from the removal of their tongues, their minds were filled with anticipation of what would come next. The silence in the room seemed to stretch on endlessly, broken only by the sound of their own breathing.

Then, like a drop of torment, a single droplet of water fell upon each prisoner's forehead. The sensation, seemingly innocuous at first, soon became maddening. With each subsequent drop, their heightened sense of touch made it feel like an agonizing assault on their skin. The rhythm of the water hitting their foreheads became a cruel reminder of their captivity, each droplet representing the passing minutes of their suffering.

Pain, both physical and psychological, enveloped them. Their bodies screamed in protest, but the prisoners remained stoic, as they had been trained to endure pain without showing weakness. The darkness and silence that engulfed them amplified their agony, amplifying every sensation and thought.

In their tormented state, the prisoners were left to grapple with the depths of their own emotions. Fear, anger, and desperation mingled within them, threatening to consume their sanity. Their minds wandered, filled with thoughts of regret, longing for release, and questioning their loyalty to a cause that subjected them to such cruelty.

Yet, amidst the anguish, a flicker of resilience remained. These were the elite Root Ninjas, trained to endure the harshest of conditions and carry out missions without question. They clung to their training, their discipline, using it as an anchor in the storm of their suffering.

As the hours stretched on, the prisoners fought to maintain their composure. The intensity of their pain wore them down, but they refused to break. They clung to the faint hope that their ordeal would soon come to an end, that their loyalty would be rewarded, and that they would emerge from this trial stronger than before.

Akira, with her piercing gaze, observed their stoic faces. She sought to understand whether the Root Ninjas truly embodied the emotionless demeanor that Danzo had attributed to them. In their silence, she looked for cracks in their façade, signs of vulnerability that would prove their humanity.

Tomorrow would bring more revelations, as Akira continued her investigation into the state of Konoha and Ame shinobis. The prisoners, now broken physically and mentally, would face further interrogation, their suffering serving as a means to extract the information Akira desired.

In the dark and silent room, the prisoners remained trapped in their own personal hell, clinging to the last vestiges of their resilience, unsure of what awaited them next.
