Shopping & Sacred Famiy Part 1 First issue

Shen Yue mostly was out shopping to get a lay of the land really. He headed to the market area after a bit. He was traveling to familiarize himself with the area more. Specifically more of what stood where and not rely on memory. As he went through the market, he stopped and found himself at a stall.

A quick purchase of some threads and he was good to go. Not getting far before something caught his interest.

There was a broken old helmet and a full armor sitting with it. The wares looked old and filthy. Reaching out, he felt his cultivation stir a little. He looked to the shopkeeper and asked the price for it and the rest of the gear.

"For you, your grace only a few coins. Just enough for an old shopkeep like myself to be able to purchase some food to eat and live mind you. All of this was found in the ruins in my heyday. I searched the ruins with my fellow clansmen and classmates. They hit it big. I, on the other hand, I did so-so." He was trying desperately to sound pathetic. "I am starting to believe this stuff is cursed. When I tried to use it, I would get the most morbid of thoughts." The old man said fearfully at the end.

"Very well, here take this small pouch of demonic spirit coins, it should be adequate for the goods as well as for more food." Shen Yue dropped a small pouch he grabbed from his breast pocket. It landed on the table with a thud.

*Thump!* Loud enough to let the shopkeep know it was more than enough coins for his wares.

The shopkeep looked at the young noble in front of him scared it was a trick. Seeing it wasn't, he sighed after storing away the bag. He was all smiles as they spoke a little more. He took out a shrinking pouch and gave it to the young man in front of him after storing all his wares. With a smile on his face, he bowed and thanked him profusely.

Shen Yue looked at him and shrugged his shoulders. Before leaving, he left a few words to the old man.

"If you have a map or know anyone who went to the ruins with you back then still around, get them to write where they have been and what they experienced no matter how small the detail. Also if they have any old pieces like these, I will try to buy them. But be warned, I will not buy all of it. I will be quite selective actually. I will check back in a few days around this time. Better yet, make it four days from now and six days from now in case we miss each other." Shen Yue said as he walked on his way.

Taking mental notes of all the people along the way and their looks. Scoping out the area thanks to Astral Sense was quite effective. More here than in the last Dimension. Now mind you, he was trying different ways to cultivate while doing this. What he understood before was correct. He was taking in spirit energy like a vacuum. His own cultivation hidden from prying eyes thanks to Astral Sense recultivated as well as other skills and the power of the soul.

While walking, Shen Yue did not have any other thoughts or have an inkling of the people who eavesdropped on what he told the old man earlier. These people slipped back into the shadows and darted off afterward. Members of the Dark Guild that already infested the city for different choices by their leader.

They did not recognize him and marked him for robbery later. The changes from before changed him enough to take away from the look of a member of the Sacred Family as well as the clothes. Locals however could tell.

The remainder of the shopping was uneventful. But he did purchase quite a few items to play off to Shen Xiu if things failed from before to convince her. Or if someone caught her and was able to figure things out.

'Hmm, need to have a few relaxing days while I plan.' Shen Yue was enjoying the sunshine.

Checking his status board and not seeing a Connection note appear, he was needing to wait longer to make big moves.

At the very end of the market, he came across someone selling low-level demonic beasts. A baby Scarlet Flaming Fox that was injured as well as a Flaming Snake were found. The snake looked to be on death's door. Dropping the coin for them both, Shen Yue left.

Taking the long walk home, he healed the demonic beasts using his Star Martial Arts healing ability and the Flame Vortex Lighting. Both beasts were at the 1st Bronze Rank now. He kept molding the energy through their bodies getting an understanding on how they differed from beasts in the previous Dimension.

"Kaa!" The snake snapped at him but received a decisive smack to the head. It had bided its time to strike and failed. With that, it was finally culled. It offered a contract with him instantly to keep from dying. It was rightfully wary of Shen Yue. His spirit energy was very violent. "Kaa!" The snake snapped once more before settling down. It wrapped around his arm resting its head on his shoulder.

The fox offered the contract easily enough after some debate. It did not want to get hit or sold off to some one worse. Let alone killed. It rested on his shoulder basically draped on him. It would take some time before he could teach them speech. A few weeks really of devoted time.

Not letting time waste, he fed both of them some spiritual energy. The used energy redirected over the blood vessels, muscle tissue, nerve system, bone structure, in-depth into the bone marrow, through the spinal structure, and last but not least the entire cerebral network. After each pass through, he understood a little more about the demon beast structure.

'Really should not have become a Plastic Surgeon in my originsl life. I do more work with beasts than anything else when going to Dimensions, hehe.' Shen Yue chuckled a little mentally. "What a nice little walk."

Spotting Nie Lie and his little gang, Shen Yue gave them a wave and continued on his way. A little further he bumped into Xiao Ninger in disguise somewhat.

"You need to hide your face more or t least change your clothes when moving about." Shen Yue's words sopped her in place. "I am not going to take up much of your time mind you. If you run into some cold type energy or locations of it, can you let me know?"

Xiao Ninger waited a bit before nodding. She didn't say anything, however.

"That's good. Have something I really need to try with that worked before. Just need more of it." Shen Yue continued on his way. Not wanting to take up any more of her time. 'I wonder if I can find some artifacts or any nice techniques in the Sacred Family while there?'

'How did he get so tall?' Xiao Ninger was most at a loss if that was really Shen Yue. He was after all about five inches taller than he was a few hours ago. 'Maybe I just never noticed his real height.' Moving on she headed to her spot to cultivate before time ran out.

Arriving Home-

.

Shen Yue made his way to his home after long enough. He stopped at the gate. It was a nice chunk of the property after all. The center courtyard was for him and his mother's servants' children. He only had the two, a brother and sister orphan duo that he trusts. Others were just sniveling little people looking for a chance to get something from him or the family.

As Shen Yue entered the courtyard, he saw someone further ahead go into his house. This was strange in the fact it was not his servants. Most likely the problem he started with the brother was unfolding already. Shen Fie was a little shit that acted quickly. His people had no reason to be in this area, let alone sneaking into his housing unit.

'Well, this is interesting. Let's play a lil pink panther sneak up.' Shen Yue mused in his head. He started to sneak around while thinking of the pink panther theme song. He was not humming it, of course, that would give him away. The snake and fox were quiet. Natural predators that they were, they were good at it.

When he arrived at the ledge, he was greeted by the sight of the servant searching through his belongings. Shen Yue climbed right over the ledge into the room quietly. It helped the prey was more focused on his task at hand.

"Damn it! There has to be some coin or some pills here! There is no way this kid has nothing lying around left!" The servant had heard about what happened at the school and about Shen Yue going to the market after speaking in close quarters with Shen Xiu. Most likely giving her something. Thinking there was no way he didn't come across some pill or gained something from one of the commoners. "Have to find out what makes him so bold all of a sudden! Shen Fei will pay big!"

The servant was looking around quite frantically at this point.

Shen Yue tipped toed until he was right behind him. A fun thought popped into his head. He would play a little trick and see what would happen. He placed his right hand at the center of the back and yelled.

"Reach for the sky, yah filthy varmint!" He tried to give his best Yosemite Sam voice. It actually didn't occur to him that there wasn't a concept of guns here. Only various hidden weapons and bows.

The servant damn near jumped out his skin. To Shen Yue's delight though, the thief complied as he said. With his hands in the air, he turned around to look at who caught him.

After his moment of shock at seeing the young master, he gained a malicious grin on his face before it turned normal. Shen Fei would like if they taught him a lesson, after all, he could not believe he was duped into thinking it was one of the guards or Shen Xiu having caught him.

Shen Yue noticed it. He also felt the energies rise in the thief. His instincts told him he was weaker than himself by a good margin. Despite the thief being at the Silver Rank. So he did not really change his expression.

Elsewhere-

.

Shen Xiu was checking things in the library as if she was possessed. The problem with lost text and old techniques, if you didn't study them deeply you would miss something. And several matters looked the same as others.

"This is the only thing that matches what happened to his body!" Shen Xiu was frustrated. Reading the difficulty of the method and how some went insane from the process made her go as white as sheet. She put it to the side in the pile marked for check-over. "Ugh! Why are there so many incomplete fire techniques!"
