Guild 2

Ouranos listened to the human recount everything he knew about the world that was just a work of fiction. Due to it being just a work of fiction, he did not know much about the details only the major incidents and events.

Fels diligently listened and noted down everything that the human said without missing a word.

"So Corrupted spirits, Knossos and Enyo. These names have yet to come up" Fels said as they tried to determine at which point in the story he had arrived at.

"My lord" A fat elf called out to bring Ouranos's attention to him. 

Ouranos asked the elf to come forward, and the elf handed him some documents.

"Hestia has not descended yet, and Sword princess level up to level 5 two years ago," Ouranos said as the elf looked at the trio with lots of questions in his mind but didn't voice anything.

"So between 6 months and a year," Leo said as he thought hard trying to remember anything else that could help him pinpoint at what point he was at. He doesn't remember the details of stuff other than the major events that happened in the series but he can tell that this was definitely before the series began because of all the major incidents he told them about, None of them have happened yet. 

But I remember Ais being level five for around 3 years before leveling up by fighting Udaeus, and that Hestia descended 6 months before the incident with the minotaur and bell.

"We have enough time to investigate the information you gave us. Royman remember this human, he will be working closely with me and Fels" Ouranos ordered as the elf nodded and took a good look at the young human. There was nothing notable about him besides his clothing which was neither made of cotton nor any leather, maybe it was some odd monster drop on the surface far away. 

"Also assign him one of the rooms for guild employees," 

"As you wish my lord," Royman said as he led Leo outside the prayer room leaving only Fels and Ouranos.

"We need to keep his existence a secret my lord, for his safety," Fels said as he looked at the status sheet of the human from another world. He was worried that the gods residing on the surface would do something drastic to remove this anomaly in their game. 

Ouranos thought for a second before answering,

"They are unlikely to use their power and return to <Tenkai >. As for their Familia, with his gifts, he can exceed any mortal's power. It is the dungeon's reaction to this foreign entity and the human who had been given this power without a reason that we need to keep an eye on"

"What of the things he said about the future" Fels asked

"For now keep an eye on the movements of Ishtar, Dionysus, Ikelos, and Demeter Familia along with the Melen branch of the guild," Ouranos said as Fels disappeared leaving Ouranos with his thoughts.

"Here, this will be your living quarter. You will be coming to the guild tomorrow morning on the order of lord Royman, and here are the valis for your expenses for a week, there should be 20,000 valis there" One of the employees in a suit handed him a sack full of coins.

"Thank you," Leo said as the guild guy nodded and left. 

Well...Now what?.

Something that I wanted to do was go out for a stroll, I wanted to see this fantasy world that I had only seen in animations but since there were people and gods like Freya who could tell that I was different from the rest of the populace. I do not know for sure but after discussing it with Ouranos we concluded that it was best that I should keep low while residing in the guild for now.

whatever, I have an apartment to live in, enough money to last for a week, and a decent job offer, something that many on earth, and most probably in this world as well, would work day and night to achieve.

So let's work one thing at a time, learn how to read and write.

Opening one of the windows, I could see the vast city of Orario. Nothing compared to something like New York but in this medieval world with monsters, this was supposed to be very impressive. 

This week was for two reasons, one is to learn about this world, more basic knowledge such as its language, geography, and taxes. and other was to decide whether I wanted to be a normal guild employee and live my life in safety and peace away from the dungeon and adventurer-related chaos or take a nose dive into that mess and use this template I had to its full potential.

Future problem for future me, Let's just sleep for now.

The next morning I was standing inside Royman's office with two other people. One was the guy who brought me to my apartment, a Chienthrope and the other was a half-elf, someone that I think I forgot to mention to Ouranos since she wasn't exactly important in the grand scheme of things but still one of the main cast of the story.

"She will teach you Koine and then oversee your education, while he will be helping you with anything you need since you are unfamiliar with the city." Royman could as he wiped the sweat off his face as he looked at the human male who was given this VIP treatment due to direct orders from lord Ouranos. He had tried to find who he was but nothing came up. For now, he was certain this person was important to his God and that would mean that he needed to be on his best behavior if he wanted to keep his seat as the chief of the guild.

"Alright" Leo replied and he left with the two people. It was the Chienthrope that broke the silence while we left for the library.

"My name is Rehmer, I am the section chief of Pantheon and this is Eina Tulle, one of our best and most knowledgeable advisors," The Chienthrope named Rehmer said,

"It is an honor, sir," Eina said nervously.

honor? What did Ouranos tell them about me?

"Likewise," I said curtly as all of us went back to the silent treatment. This was getting awkward. I think they are assuming that I am some undercover distinguished individual since Royman seemed scared of me while I was neither an adventurer nor a god.

"Is there something you need sir?" Rehmer asked as we reached the library. 

"Can I have something to eat?" Leo said as Rehmer assured him that he would be getting his breakfast delivered to him while he was studying.

To Eina, The dreaded moment has finally come. She was now alone with the human that was some foreign guest of, not Royman, not the guild but lord Ouranos himself, and with the way he was treated to the point even his food was getting delivered to him by the section head and the order to maintain the secrecy of his presence here, if someone told her he was some royalty, she would instantly believe them.

"So what are we doing" The young human said as she was pulled out of her thoughts.

"huh?... Sorry, I was distracted" She bowed apologetically as he waved it off.

Entering the library, she could see him being impressed by the amount of books and the size of the library. 

"We will begin with the letters in Koine," She said while putting three large books on the table.

That much just for the alphabet? 

"I will make sure you read and write Koine by the end of the week," Eina said with a determination that arrived out of nowhere.

Is it too late to choose the second option? I see why they choose to be adventurers, it was a lot easier to just go hail marry on monsters than bang your head on books.
