Community visit - 11

Days passed by and I learned to perform medications, monitor the vital signs and to provide care to the patient. After that, our first hospital posting completed and we went to college regularly.

One day, our teacher came and informed that we would be going to community next week. She taught about the activities that we were going to perform at the commmunity level.

After a week,

I went to our designated community and waited for others. Everyone gathered together and then we followed our teacher. She showed us the houses and assigned 5 houses for each students. Then we visited the community leader and discussed about the situation about the place.

Next day,

Me and Suzy were partnered together and then we went to our assigned houses to greet them. When I knoced the door, they answered from inside,

" Who are you looking for?"

"Excuse me, we are the students of Florence Academy, we are doing community visit so, we came here to greet you."

"We are busy, come back tomorrow."

After that, we went to other houses but we got similar reply from them. Then we went to the Community house, where my friends also stated that they werenot welcomed by the people.The teacher looked at our sad faces and said," Don't worry students, I guess they behaved like that since it was your first day. I had also experienced something like that, So, dont worry. After a day or next, they will not do so and will welcome you.It will be fine."

It was just like the teacher had said. Around 2-3 days later, the people started to talk with us and gave us their information. We filled the family folders and collected data on their problems.
